Daniel7543:you stink low as someone else wrote this for you "It's condemable, disastrous and deadly for a man to engage in such art and even be proud of it. Scripturally, it's a sin which makes a man loss the kingdom of God. Traditionally, many men have died through thunderbolt laced on a suspected wife by Thier husband. Naturally, a man that engage in such art with another man's wife because (marriege is a convenant to become one) such man would be done the same to either intentionally or unintentionally." |

To lump all Military personnel as bad is a moral quagmire on whoever engages in such. It becomes incomprehensible and unpatriotic to see you jubilate when our troops are killed in action. |

I think it's time we stop over focussing on this PDP/APC, PMB and the rest issues and start looking where our problem is. I believe our problem is in the institutions of this country. I don't want to mention that of police now. It's for another day. On the 14th day of March, I drove into one of the police stations to obtain the new tinted glass permit. In the process, it was discovered that the plate number of my car is being used by another car. My first question is "How is it possible?" Because I obtained this number from FRSC with all documents intact. I never knew that the car was going to stay for 12 days in the station. A file was quickly opened and the car became an exhibit. Thank God the car was registered by a very high ranking officer of the FRSC who was brought to the station. As the investigation was going on, it was discovered that some people were producing these fake and duplicate number plates and giving out to innocent and unsuspecting Nigerians thereby ripping them off of their hard earned money. My question is, should we now go and buy this number plates at a shop in Alaba or at Idumota instead of the Federal Government approved agencies? In the course of my research, I stumbled upon the Number Plate Verification System online. I started Verifying Cars of Friends, Church members and even cars that I see on the road. A shocking Revelation was made that OUT OF EVERY 10 CARS you see on the road with LAGOS and ABUJA number plates, that at least 4 is FAKE. You can check your own now. (1 )Go to https://nvis.frsc.gov.ng/VehicleManagement/VerifyPlateNo (2) Enter your number in the space provided. Eg "ABC863AP (3) Click on verify button. Then an information will be displayed below the button. Because FRSC don't want the general public to see the full details of the registration, you will only see the name of your car and the date of registration. Here are some samples: 1. This number plate has been produced by FRSC and assigned to Toyota Highlander on 20/01/2015. If your car is Toyota Highlander, then you are lucky its done. But if your car is for instance Toyota Camry and your Verification shows the above message, then you are in as me. #Solution is to go and Re-register your car afresh. 2. This number plate has been produced by FRSC and assigned to Matrix however the vehicle is yet to be registered. If your car is Matrix, then just go back to the person that registered your car and tell him/her to complete your registration. 3. This number plate has been produced by FRSC but yet to be assigned to any vehicle. It means that they just gave you a number plate that is not even registered in their system. Solution is to go to them to register your car and upload your information. 4. An Invalid/Wrong number plate. Do I need to explain this?. NO. Verify your car first and sort yourself out with the FRSC before you even proceed to police for tinted permit because, if police are the ones to find out, then you know what follows. Many Innocent Nigerians are suffering now because of the impunity in our institutions Note: This verification is only applicable to the number plates with this format ABC123AB not AB123 ABC. Nigerian Army Sacks Private Soldier For Taking Picture In Colonel’s Officehttps://saharareporters.com/2022/03/21/nigerian-army-sacks-private-soldier-taking-picture-colonel%E2%80%99s-office

You see, we may have our misgivings about many societal problems, we may even disagree on what causes what and what remedies what. However, our discursive agreements or disagreements do not put away a social malady. Rather, concerted and willful decisions and actions chip away social problems and place acceptable practices in place of those identified problems. And, societal problems are not eroded by pulse actions, no, they need continuously sustained actions. It is with the above perspective that I write this piece to call our attention to a creeping but silent social problem among ‘yan-boko’ in Northern Nigeria. In times past, governments, NGOs, educational associations, institutions, and even transnational organizations have set shops in many Northern Nigerian societies to promote girl-child education. Yes, there has been remarkable success in some places, our girls now go to school. Many of them have graduated from various disciplines and many more are on the way… a wonderful development. However, my concern is the growing negation of lady-graduates by many people including graduate themselves. To many men and guys in Muslim Northern Nigeria, a lady who is a graduate is not marriage material. Such men bring on flimsy excuses of why they can’t settle into matrimony with a lady who’s a graduate. Some of those excuses are mostly out of stereotypes and long-held cultural negation of all things Boko. My quest is this, if our society negates our ladies, simply because they happen to be graduates, who then is going to accept them? Is it acceptable to ask ladies to seek knowledge and in turn use their knowledge as a reason for negating them? All the excuses we bring forth against lady graduates, are they true or out of our cultural biases? Indeed, I am not positing that such ladies have no social issues that may warrant some of the reasons for such negation. What I take exception to, is to single out ladies for condemnation on what few of them may have done. What more, what we are accusing such ladies of, do they do it alone or with guys? Our tertiary institutions are a microcosm of our societies. In our schools, just like in our societies, we have the good, the not so good, and the bad. To lump all lady graduates as bad is a moral quagmire on whoever engages in such. And, to our lady graduates, I have to talk to you in a straight manner. First, let me ask you, is your education a means to an end or an end in itself? Is education meant to make you a better person on yourself, your family, and your home, or is meant to send you into self destruct motion? As a lady, you are an embodiment of societal expectations. In Muslim Northern Nigeria, whatever you do, will be perceived through the moral prism. After all, the same society sees moral decadence as a dent in you and as a scent on men. Society insists that “iskanci ga namiji kwalliya ne.” My sister, you have a burden that you are expected to carry. As such, do your best and see your education as a means to an end. Now, you and I, the Northern Nigerian men, why do we engage in selective justice when it comes to lady graduates? Why do we always use stereotypes when analyzing ladies who have acquired education? Why do we use one parameter on all of them? If I refuse to marry your sister and you refuse to marry my sister because they’re graduates, whom do we expect to marry them? The spirits? Moreover, the reasons we adduce in negating lady-graduates, are they genuine? Have we cared to really know that some of the most morally high ladies are graduates? This social problem of negating ladies, simply because they are graduates, is becoming pronounced among us. The right time to check it out is now, not later. Unlike what obtains in other mature democracies, like the US where there is a single Armed Services Committee in the Senate and one in the House of Representatives, oversighting a military that’s more than 1 million strong, in Nigeria we have committee on army , then committee on navy, another committee on Air Force and still another committee on Defence! duplicated in both houses, oversighting an armed force of less than 300,000. Apart from this wasteful duplication, an erroneous belief seems to have taken hold that once a legislator is a member of such military oversight committees, then his role is simply to use his influence push in often substandard candidates into the armed forces or to breathe on the necks of the military services to promote officers who do not deserve promotion or post officers to certain positions. This interference is not only dangerous and makes our armed forces less professional, it is also a complete opposite of what legislative oversight of the military means in a democracy. A legislator on a military oversight committee, is supposed to hold the military services accountable to ensure the standards and regulations regarding recruitment, promotion and retirement are strictly followed thereby ensuring professionalism. He is to ensure the appropriate funding of the military through budgetary appropriation and afterwards follow up to see that the monies appropriated are used judiciously. In sum he is to ensure a military that is adequately equipped, trained and maintained. He is also to ensure the proportional representation of Nigerians within the military. Where the military fails to do any of this the legislator should shout out. He is to do all this without necessarily interfering in professional operational matters: for example he is not to tell the services to post a particular commander to a particular operational area as that is purely an operational professional issue. It’s therefore disconcerting when our legislators interfere with recruitment and promotion and posting issues in the belief that they are serving their constituency. You serve your constituency by ensuring during recruitment it is represented with qualified persons but not by forcing the military to accept substandard candidates from your constituency as by doing that you are harming the military and harming national security. It’s important that legislators understand this. It’s also important that military top brass summon the moral courage to resist any attempt by politicians to lower well known military standards in matters of recruitment promotion and posting. |
When some Women turn 40 or 50 years, something major shifts in their personality. They become bolder, more rebellious, more religious, more focused, more opinionated and more emphatic about what they want. Don’t be surprised when a previously obedient and submissive Woman on turning 40/50 changes completely. Most especially when she had given birth to Children. At this age, she may not go with the flow anymore, she may begin to ask some questions : - Is sex food? - Query some of your instructions - Even the way you behave. She will also become more outspoken and will not be afraid to speak her mind. If care is not taken, you may have to do for yourself : - Dry cleaning - Preparing food to eat Because it might take her more time before she responds to your request. There is something definitely special about turning 40/50 for Women. If she has never challenged or questioned your instructions, get ready to be shocked by her boldness and confrontational attitude. The only way to avoid total breakdown of Peace and Harmony in the home is for Men to become fair, objective and reasonable in their approaches to issues at home and/or at work. Men should bear in mind that at this age, Women also harbour lots of regrets about the decisions they have made in life so far ... Their Husbands may be one of them! A woman at this age is a better Judge of character and will evaluate a Man using very different & weird parameters. Men must start on time to prepare for this phase in the lives of their Wives/Partners/Bosses/Subordinates. What you put in is what you get! If you have treated her fairly, then you don’t have anything to worry about. She will begin to appreciate you better if for any reason she didn’t do so in the past. On the contrary if you haven’t been nice to her, fasten your seatbelt, the ride is about to get pretty bumpy. A Woman doesn’t forget those who hurt her, and by her actions and utterances you will know that she is out to show you that she is no longer that little girl you married. |

The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has warned politicians and others against wearing military uniforms and paraphernalia Acting Director of Information, Air Commodore Wap Maigida issued a statement to this effect on Thursday. The spokesman decried campaign posters showing some governors dressed in camouflage uniforms. Maigida declared that such was illegal and a clear abuse of privilege. He said the Armed Forces of Nigeria remains apolitical and would not want to be dragged into politics. Politicians and civilians were advised to stop wearing “camo” for political events and other engagements henceforth. “Please note, anyone found culpable in this regard would be liable to prosecution”, the statement added. |
Dear all, please don't get caught up in the "New Year" hysteria. January 1 is just a date like November 3 or May 22. The world did not begin on January 1. Rather, it is just a symbolic day arrived at by popular consensus to mark time. The Catholic Liturgical Year begins by end of November, Chinese lunar year begins by end of January while the Islamic calendar has 354 days. January 1 is just a symbolic day. The real "New Year" for each man is their birthday anniversary. That's when you begin a new year and it's different for different men. Therefore, decisions to become a better person (RESOLUTION) must be a daily routine, not a yearly ritual. Meanwhile, the myths associated with January 1 should be discarded. "If I borrow somebody money on January 1, that's how people will continue to borrow from me throughout the year" and then you refuse to assist the person. That's a fallacy! And all these four, five hours prayers on December 31 to "wash away" the negativities of 2021 is just an illusion and a psycho-spiritual mind game. If you couldn't change it on October 7, it may not change on January 1. And the fact that you missed a target by January 1 does not mean you can't get it right by May 8. Between December 31 and January 1, we are only changing dates just like July 31 to august 1, we are not crossing any line "over". Enough of these mind games by religious leaders. January 1 is a symbolic date for celebration just like Independence Day on October 1. Let's enjoy the season, catch the fun and jettison the myths. |
Before I travelled to Israel, I used to believe that the Jews' phenomenal achievements in all areas of human endeavours was because they were the annoited of God but the thought vanished after spending three days there. I saw things for myself. First there is no milk and honey flowing in their land. It was a desert with acute shortage of rainfall and water. For Agric they depend on massive irrigation. The Jews are extremely hardworking, resourceful and innovative. They are determined to rise above the challenges in their environment. The Jews are not Christians but Judaists. The main difference between Judaism and Christianity is the total rejection of Jesus as the messiah. They also do not believe a word in the New Testament. In their Bible there's no new testament. Despite their abhorrence of Christianity and Jesus, they were smart enough to explore the commercial opportunities that pilgrimage offers. Israel makes billions of dollars yearly by commercializing a belief or faith they do not share. Jesus was not killed by the Roman rulers of Judea but by his fellow Jews who saw him as a threat to the Religious establishment . Over 2000 years after, they are yet to change their mind about him. More than 90% of the Nobel laureates you listed are atheists. Albert Einstein who was declared as the greatest scientist of the 20th Century was an atheist. He neither accepted Christianity nor Judaism. Looking at the countries that are doing well in the world, you will see that it has nothing to do with their religious beliefs or special favours from God. Their progress has more to do with the choices they have made. Look at Donald trump he does not read the bible but he knows that to win an election in America, you must pretend to share the sentiments of the evangelical Christians. That was precisely what he did. Japan was the first country in the world to achieve the feat of turning it's name into a brand. Once you see made in Japan on any product you are assured of it's excellent quality. Japanese people are neither Christians, Muslims nor Judaists. They achieved success because they are hardworking, resourceful, innovative and honest. What of Singapore that leapt from the fringes of third world to the first world? I can go on and on. In Nigeria despite being blessed with huge natural and human resources, we do not want to succeed by vigorously exploiting the resources. We are dreamers hoping to succeed without lifting our fingers. We are miracle chasers who also cut corners. This explains why there is a huge market in Nigeria for diviners, sorcerers, prophets and Pentecostal pastors who promise prosperity without labour. The Chinese are fast becoming our new masters in Africa. In 1960, Nigeria had a better prospect for success than China and Singapore. In fact Western Region in Nigeria had television before Australia. Look at UAE: Dubai and Abu Dhabi are the most visited tourist cities in the world. This was inconceivable just 20 years ago. They are 100% Muslims. This is the same religion that is exporting terror in many Arab and African countries including our dear country Nigeria. No UAE citizen has been accused anywhere in the world of involvement in terrorism. Their cities are more modern than Paris, New York and London. Therefore, I do not share the belief that the greatness of the Jews has anything to do with fulfilment of any prophecy. On the contrary, it can only be attributed to their iron-cast determination to succeed in the face of all odds. It is awkward to attribute Einstein's success to any special blessing when the man never believed in God or offered any prayer throughout his lifetime. Material success has nothing to do with God. If it were so, Nigerians should be the richest people on earth because our greatest export apart from crude oil is religion.” "Let's get to work" Good morning and have a blessed day . |
