Education › Re: 30 Harmful Things To Stop Doing To Yourself by eightsin(m): 11:15pm On Oct 19, 2014 |
bishopjoe02: 1. Stop spending time with the wrong people. It’s useless spending time with people who don’t know your worth. 2. Stop running from your problems. Face them head on. 3. Stop lying to yourself. 4. Stop putting your own needs on the back burner. Yes, help others; but help yourself too. 5. Stop trying to be someone you’re not. Don’t change so people will like you. Be yourself and the right people will love the real you. 6. Stop trying to hold onto the past. You can’t start the next chapter of your life if you keep re- reading your last one. 7. Stop being scared to make a mistake. Every success has a trail of failures behind it, and every failure is leading towards success. 8. Stop berating yourself for old mistakes. Every single thing that has ever happened in your life is preparing you for a moment that is yet to come. 9. Stop trying to buy happiness. The things that really satisfy us are totally free – love, laughter and working on our passions. 10 Stop exclusively looking to others for happiness. – If you’re not happy with who you are on the inside, you won’t be happy in a long-term relationship with anyone else either. 11. Stop being idle. Evaluate situations and take decisive action. 12. Stop thinking you’re not ready. Nobody ever feels 100% ready when an opportunity arises. 13. Stop getting involved in relationships for the wrong reasons. Fall in love when you’re ready, not when you’re lonely. 14. Stop rejecting new relationships just because old ones didn’t work. Some will test you, some will use you and some will teach you. 15. Stop trying to compete against everyone else. Success is a battle between YOU and YOURSELF only. 16. Stop being jealous of others. There’s something you have that everyone wants! 17. Stop complaining and feeling sorry for yourself. Smile! Let everyone know that today you are a lot stronger than you were yesterday, and you will be. 18. Stop holding grudges. Forgiveness is not just for other people, it’s for you too. 19. Stop letting others bring you down to their level. Refuse to lower your standards to accommodate those who refuse to raise theirs. 20. Stop wasting time explaining yourself to others. Your friends don’t need it and your enemies won’t believe it anyway. Just do what you know in your heart is right. 21. Stop doing the same things over and over without taking a break. If you keep doing what you’re doing, you’ll keep getting what you’re getting. Sometimes you need to distance yourself to see things clearly. 22. Stop overlooking the beauty of small moments. Enjoy the little things, because one day you may look back and discover they were the big things. 23. Stop trying to make things perfect. – The real world doesn’t reward perfectionists; it rewards people who get things done. 24. Stop following the path of least resistance. Don’t take the easy way out. Do something extraordinary. 25. Stop acting like everything is fine if it isn’t. It’s okay to fall apart for a little while. Cry if you need to – it’s healthy to shed your tears. The sooner you do, the sooner you will be able to smile again. 26. Stop blaming others for your troubles. The extent to which you can achieve your dreams depends on the extent to which you take responsibility for your life. 27. Stop trying to be everything to everyone. Doing so is impossible, and trying will only burn you out. 28. Stop worrying so much. Worry will not strip tomorrow of its burdens, it will strip today of its joy. 29. Stop focusing on what you don’t want to happen. Focus on what you do want to happen. Positive thinking is at the forefront of every great success story. 30. Stop being ungrateful. No matter how good or bad you have it, wake up each day thankful for your life. [Source: Marc & Angel Hack Life] |

LaurelP: I don't if others have noticed this? Those girls that always seem distant and uninterested in guys are usually easy to woo and bed than the sharp and social ones who even come to guys! Once you get past their initial walls, you'll see dat they become so loyal dat u even become scared of their loyalty (they start forcing themselves on you). All of a sudden, they become natural and completely open with u.
That's why I always go for those seemingly difficult and pompous girls. They usually are just forming. I've dated many of them and I came to realise dat they have inferiority complex which they put up as a facade of being important or hard to get. Am I right or wrong guys True talk. I fear those short quiet ones most |

1stola: It's not an understatement to say that most Nigerians are tired of the present administration. Come on! we have had enough! - No power - No job - No peace - No functional refinery e.t.c. Yet, our politicians and oga at the top are stealing millions EVERYDAY. We can't continue to tolerate all this nonsense. Some people say that GEJ is not corrupt but he's only surrounded by corrupt people - That must be silliest thing I have heard so far. As far as I'm concerned, GEJ is one of the most corrupt leader to have ever ruled Nigeria after IBB. Yes! South-south and south-east people are not truly also happy with the way GEJ is running this country. They are only being tolerant to him because, ( he is their son ) They will prefer him to continue ruling this way even though they are not happy with him. The problem of this country is truly not religious. Our problem is GREED!!! We need to really be tolerant to each other. Nigeria is a very diverse country with many religion and tribe. Everyone needs to really respect each other. IT IS SENSELESS for anyone to want impose his believe on others in a country like Nigeria. e.g, imposing sharia law. That can never work in Nigeria, even in the north because, there are many Hausa and Fulani indigenes that are Christians. Also, some youths are saying that they tired of all this old people ruling us... The problem is not whether somebody is old or not. What I think we need is somebody who can do the job well whether old or young. Haven't we tested some young people in the past? e.g (speaker of house of rep, aviation minister, e.t.c) what did we get at the end of the day? An average Nigerian is frustrated with country and just looking for any opportunity to run out of the country for greener pasture or have a share in the "national cake". Just last week, a youth corper ran away with 2.3 million naira, money meant for 144 other corpers. I don't think GEJ can move this country forward. . . My choice for 2015 presidential candidates; Note: I see this people as capable, tested and trusted. No APC. No PDP. 1. Buhari/Fashola - 2015. 2. Fashola/Donald Duke. 3. Kwankwaso/Donald Duke. 4. Buhari/Donald Duke. 5. Buhari/Oshiomole. 6. Fashola/Kwankwaso. 7. Fashola/Oshiomole
Let's have your say. Who would you prefer? You are still sleeping. Wake up bro. |

Pataki: Clearly spelt out.
I for one, sincerely do pray Nigeria and Nigerians never have to undergo another four years of this clueless leadership. Even a goat would be better appreciated as the president of Nigeria than this Goodluck of a guy.
A guy who has brought unprecedented disgrace, shame and corruption to the nation. Should we talk about his Australia shenanigan, the AU stunt, the disrespect he got from McCain, and several international newspapers, the lies he spewed on CNN, the sheer foolishness of his Presidential media chat with so much comedy than seriousness to issues that Nigerians yearn for, his perpetual ediotic silence to the plight of the Chibok girls for weeks, and yet going off to dance skelewu in Kano a day after Nyanya bomb blast and the same day found in Ibadan drinking ogogoro. Or should we talk about his corrupt FG ministers? Or what about the Minister responsible for death of innocent Nigerians who were desperate for a job! A man who has found his best buddies to be ex-militants, wanted drug lords, wanted people like Alams, pardoning criminals here and there etc....
Nigerians deserve better that this epitome of shame, lies and corruption called GEJ.
Goodbye GEJ, you have written your name in utter shame. Clap for yourself! |
Politics › Re: Prophesy about the outcome of a Jonathan's Loss In 2015 by eightsin(m): 7:13pm On Oct 19, 2014 |
Justcash: I am writing this piece without political affiliation. I foresee some horrifying occurrences if Jonathan is voted out of power in 2015.
1. AN ENERGIZED MEND WILL RETURN TO THE CREEKS WITH RENEWED VIGOR TO DESTROY NIGERIA ONCE AND FOR ALL
2. I ADVISE NIGERIANS TO BRACE UP FOR ECONOMIC DOWNTURN, BECAUSE IN A FEW MONTHS AFTER THE LOSS OF GEJ, OIL PRODUCTION WILL BE REDUCED TO ZERO AND NIGERIA'S ECONOMY WILL TAKE A TUMBLE
3. THE NEW GOVERNMENT WILL BE BUSY FIGHTING MILITANCY FOR THE DURATION OF THEIR TENURE, JUST TO STABILIZE THE ECONOMY AND FIND FUNDS TO EMBARK ON DEVELOPMENTAL PROJECTS
4. THE WAR IN THE NORTH EAST WILL BE A JOKE COMPARED TO THE WAR THAT WILL TAKE PLACE IN THE NIGER-DELTA. HAVING LEARNT FROM BOKO HARAM, MEND WILL CAPTURE AND CLAIM VITAL (OIL HUBS) TERRITORIES
5. THE DEBT PROFILE OF NIGERIA WILL INCREASE TO AN UNPRECEDENTED LEVEL DUE TO GOVERNMENT'S RESORT TO BORROWING AND SHORT-FALLS IN THE ECONOMY
6. NIGERIA'S GDP WILL TAKE A TUMBLE
7. THE FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION BY THE NEW GOVERNMENT WILL BE VIEWED FROM AN ETHNO-RELIGIOUS ANGLE AS A WITCH-HUNT, AND ETHNO-RELIGIOUS DIVISIONS WILL WIDEN
8. THE THREAT OF DIVISION WILL BE MORE APPARENT THAN IT HAS EVER BEEN AS COUNTER-MILITANCY SOLUTIONS WILL BE ADOPTED BY NIGERIAN ETHNIC GROUPS
9. I SEE A NEW REGIONAL AND POLITICAL SYSTEM BEING PROPOSED TO REDUCE ETHNIC AND RELIGIOUS BASED SUSPICION, WHICH WILL BE OPPOSED BY A CERTAIN REGION
10. NIGERIA WILL BECOME MORE EXPOSED TO FOREIGN INTERFERENCE
Most Nigerians don't know how dicey the political situation in Nigeria is. Nigeria is in a stalemate. 2015 will indeed redefine Nigeria in all ramifications. I PRAY FOR MY DEAR COUNTRY. |
