This call is for Igbo nationlist on nairaland. We have plans to create an Igbo patriotic group that will stand for Ndigbo both territorially, culturally, economically and politically.
We've realized that our ethnic group has lost so much grounds due to us not having a powerful voice represent or speak for us. And this has affected us badly. Therefore, your's truly will need like mind to create a new group to spearhead Igbo renaisance. The idea is to create a Facebook group where issues affecting us will be posted from time time. We shall also use the medium to post Igbo history, and also connect Igbo speaking people in the SS and NC with lost heritage back to the fold. The union will be like the defunct Igbo State Union that united our people but one with modern focus. I'm aware we have Igbo history in facebook doing their best, but we need more groups to do reconnect Igbo speaking groups back to the fold.
Therefore we need erudite Igbos to come together as we did when we used facts and intelligence to defend our people in the old times in nairaland. We need a group not built on hate but on togetherness to achieve our aims.

SlayerForever: Can we form an Igbo outreach group made up of proud Igbos of Nairaland that would be a vehicle for reconnecting Igbo clans across Nigeria?
Supremos has forwarded this recommendation today 7th September, 2021. I support, as I have years ago aired a similar view that a similar pan Igbo group should be set up to arrest Ohanaeze's obvious failure in connecting the Igbo nation.
This earlier move was shot down by some Ohanaeze members on Nairaland here back then. However, if I have your backing I will go ahead to create an Igbo Outreach page. What do you all think?
Ekealterego, gidgiddy, pass11, Ariani and others too numerous to mention. I support you. I was thinking about it this evening. I suggest we open a close whatsapp group and use that platform to push a new patriotic front. We also establish a group on facebook. Non-partisan group. We shall use the group to front our political, social and cultural agenda. We shall never allow IPOB or Ohaneze Ndigbo infilterate it. Just a movement in the mould of Ijaw INC and Great Benin Descendant. Something like the defunct Igbo State Union formed in the 1940's. Truth and evidence will be our weapon. |

Humphrey Nwosu announced that result against military orders because of that they arrested him and detained him for a very long time. He is still suffering from the trauma of that they experience.
Why was Abiola saying he is the president if he was not declared winner by Humphrey Nwosu?
Common sense is indeed not common.
I know if he had been a yoruba man, he would have chickened out, but he did not chicken out because he is an Igboman and he is not a coward like a yoruba man.

amaridigital: Lots of misinformation here bro. The whole world knows it was a Yoruba president that discovered and appointed Okonjo Iweala, Frank Nweke, Ezekweseli, Dora Akunyili, Soludo and supported at least one Senate president from the SE. We can do better than this. There is no evidence to suggest that a president from SE can reciprocate what OBJ did. Good Obasanjo did those things you mentioned. Same way he gave the likes of El Rufai, Sanusi, Nuhu Ribadu and Atiku Abubakar their shots. The North, MB and SS (just as the SE) benefited from Obasanjo’s regime because they all voted for him and the President was bound to compensate them all. Did the NE beg for the VP slot, Deputy Speaker and Immigration boss slot No? Did the NW beg for the Speaker, Chief of Defence staff, Chief Judge of the federation, Customs, as well as other ministerial position? No! Did the MB beg for the Deputy Senate President slot, Army chief and other ministerial position? No! Did the SS begged for the SGF, Chief of staff, Chief of Naval staff, Minister of Petroleum? No. Because they all deserved it. The SW even got the IG of Police, AGF/Minister of Justice, and other top ministerial position. So why will the SE own be different? Did the SW vote for Obasanjo? The SE despite their votes for Obasanjo compared to other zones got only the Senate President, CBN and a few ministerial position. And yet you’re asking the Igbos to be grateful, for the likes of Okonjo-Iweala, on what aspect exactly — Didn’t they vote for Obasanjo? |

Eastlink: It’s quite a pity some of you Yoruba’s are pushing this false narratives against the Igbos when you’re far worst and tribalistic. First, you blame Daniel Kanu for his ABN support for Abacha and now you’re blaming Humphrey Nwosu a man who risked his life to announce Abiola winner despite threats from IBB. It’s quite a shame. But yet you have continued to absolve fellow Yoruba’s who supported that Annulment.
You are hitting hard on the Igbos who didn’t influence that annulment nor did were they party to Abacha’s regime, leaving the following Yoruba’s who were directly active in the whole fiasco.
1. Ernest Shonekan — Interim Head of Government appointed by IBB to rule the country after the annulment.
2. General Oladipo Diya — Vice to Abacha who took part in the arrest and killing of NADECO chieftains.
3. General Adisa — Chief of Army staff under Abacha
4. Ebenezar Babatope — who served as minister under Abacha and a host of other Yoruba’s who stood with Abacha. Even Shonekan himself announced MKO as his Vice and other Yoruba’s into his cabinet. But MKO didn’t accept it and went behind to collabo with his friend Abacha to remove Shonekan, going as far as nominating ministers for Abacha, against the advice of his loyalists. Below is Shonekan’s minister. Note the Igbos there were only three, Chukwmerije, Nnaji and another chap. What else remains of the false Yoruba narratives against the Igbos on Abiola’s fall. Below is the list of Shonekan’s appointee, however a few declined his appointment.

MENELIIK: Telling lies is congenital to an average igbo! Votes from non Yoruba and Igbo states like Kano and Kaduna will have only Igbo votes apart from the indigenes? There are no other tribes in Kano and Kaduna apart from the Igbos? As at the time of June 12 1993 election, South East had 4 states of which Tofa won 3, how then do you arrived at 45% votes for Abiola? The era of lying openly and people keeping quiet is gone, now you will just be confirming your ignorance publicly. I intentionally used the example of June 12 to prove to your that an average Yoruba can back up his claim against the Igbos but the Igbos cant do the same. That is, they lie a lot about the Yorubas, if not justify your claim on NOI Ok, I’ll post the result charts of the June 12 elections in the 4 SE states as at then. Abiola won Anambra state and got over 40% of votes in the remaining 3 states. To the NRC of which Sylvester Ugoh was running mate, it was seen as a poor showing by the SE to their son. Before you point accusing fingers on the SE. Ask yourself some sincere questions. If the table were turned, will the Yoruba’s give an Igboman their votes against their own brothers party? Let’s say Sylvester Ugoh was the southerner in the ballot of the SDP Presidential flag and Abiola was the VP for the NRC, will the Yoruba’s give Ugoh even 5% of their votes. You guess is as good as mine. Yoruba’s have no moral right to accuse Ndigbo of what they are known for — tribalism and anti-Igbo syndrome. Below is the result and vote chart of the 1993 Presidential elections. Posterity will be fair to the Igbos.

MENELIIK: These ridiculous stories by the Ibos is becoming disgusting! Stop reading PM news and be informed. During the June 12 election, the Ibos did not vote for Abiola, Arthur nzeribe led the Association of Bastard Nigerians who called for the annulment. If I ask you to justify your claims now, you will start your usually cock and Bull stories. Haba! You want to spread your lies that the Igbos didn’t vote for Abiola. Is that how you counter the arguments of the other fellow? You can bring evidence to show that Yoruba’s supported NOI and not the trash you posted up there. So 45% SE votes for Abiola isn’t vote? Do you know that majority of Igbos in Lagos and Kano voted for Abiola’s SDP? I can post the chart to bust your lies here if you want! How about in 1999 for Obasanjo. No matter how you want to discredit Ndigbo you should know by now that they don’t do tribal nonsense when it comes to standing for justice. VP Alex Ekwueme and others ensured that the whole south got their due. But the reverse is the case under Yoruba headship. If it doesn’t go to Fulani, the remaining crumbs is thrown to the SW.
Southerners should compare and contrast.
South under Igbo leadership
Below were the positions the south got under Igbo leadership (1979 - 1988)
No. 2,3,4 and 5
1. President - NW - Shehu Shagari 2. VP - SE - Alex Ekwueme 3. Senate President - SS - Joseph Wayas 4. Speaker - SE - Edwin Umezuoke (NPN/NPP Alliance) 5. CJN - SW - Justice Atanda Fatai William
South under Yoruba leadership - (2015 - 2023)
1. President - NW - Muhammadu Buhari 2. VP - SW - Osibanjo 3. Senate President - NC/NE - Saraki/Lawan 4. Speaker - NE/SW - Dogara/Gbajabiamila 5. CJN - SS/NW - Onnoghen/Muhammed
NB: Under the Igbo headship, the south took part in government decisions and the country were united and prospered. No official among the top 5 were undemocratically removed as Buhari did to Onnoghen etc. However, under the Yoruba’s the south are treated like second class citizens. |

LASG must stop the useless stay at home, rather they should be a curfew that will allow movements to a specific time, after the curfew, everyone should stay indoors. We must enforce face mask wearing, whoever fails to wear a face mask should be apprehended and chastised. |

The government isn’t doing much to contain this virus. A WhatsApp audio in my area of Amuwo-Odofin currently going viral is causing us panics and sleepless night. Since the stay at home is becoming a waste of time, isn’t it best they allow people to go about their daily lives while enforce strict face mask wearing and social distancing.
Lagos state government must stop listening to the useless Buhari and begin to do things their own way. Send the law enforcement agencies to the streets and ensure strict mask wearing and social distancing. The Police, Army, LSNC, LASTMA and other volunteers should be task in ensuring strict enforcement of face mask and social distancing. Instead of a woeful shut down the LASG should made do with curfew and place movement on certain time or hours. Carry out mass testing and ensure that anyone that test positive is quickly dispatched to the local state controlled testing centre. To hell with NCDC and the federal government. Lagos and Sanwo-Olu must apply sense before it becomes to late. Let every state do what is best. Buhari is a failure. |

RTSC: There is a very high possibility that Nigeria would split one day, but igbos should be the last people leading the charge.
There are other regions more prepared for that.
The smart play would be to watch it unfold and then negotiate the safety of igbo businesses outside the region, sea port deals with the Niger delta republic, and trade markets for our manufactured goods in the newly emerged nations.
And that can only happen from a position of trust and friendship.
If igbos lead the charge for the separation of Nigeria and it happens, we are fucckked. Many of us have said this since the time of Uwazurike. Ndigbo must not allow Kanu win this narrative. Even if Nigeria is no more, we must not allow a group such as IPOB determine our fate, it will be catastrophic. No doubt Kanu have brought up the marginalization issue of Ndigbo to the front number, but as far as the issue of self determination is concerned a new group with a charismatic leadership is needed. |

Go back to Chinese proverb I quoted and ruminate on it.
If Kanu has sacrificed all these to 'scam' me, yes I want to be 'scammed'.
Tommorow you will sell your usual propaganda and yoruba-cooked lies that 'Kanu was enjoying in UK, while sending youths to go and die', just like you did against Ojukwu before the lie was bursted and it was revealed that Ojukwu lost his brother Tom Bigger in the Biafran war.
I can smell an impostor from a mile away. You smell like one, your 'perfume of objectivity' regardless. Too bad of you. Many of us are just in the middle of this Biafra/Nigeria stuff. Ever since Kanu began this movement I didn’t really feel moved by him because of some obvious flaws. Although, he is human like any one of us, but I’ve always believed that a leader in the mould of Ojukwu/Zik or a combination of both is what Ndigbo need in that Biafra. A charismatic leader that understands local and international diplomacy as well as human psychology is what we need. The Biafran movement may gather more crowd if Igbo intelligentsia come together and take the leadership. The Biafran ideals should never be built on hate or prejudice, it should be built on the ideals of Ahiara declaration which seek to set the Black race free from Neo-colonialism and not some Judaism bullcrap. |
