Please when did you submit your 489 visa application and was there any CO contact.
I submitted my 489 visa application for South Australia on 27 Nov 2018 so I just wanted to use your submission date to build an expectation for mine.

@Nosula Don't restrict yourself to IOM. You might just find other options to be cheaper. In my case, IOM quoted about N1,300,000 for the four of us.(Johannesburg to Melbourne via Dubai). We however got a ticket with emirates through an online agent for about N750,000 same route with a better baggage allowance of 46kg+7kg hand luggage each as against 40kg+7kg hand luggage offered by IOM. Please may I have contact of that online agent that booked your tickets with Emirates |

beckini89: Please I am also a medical laboratory scientist. How did u go about the assessment with AIMS? I have been having issues with how to apply for assessment with them. Thanks. Piusford has given you the information needed, just to add that you have to find a notory public to notorise all your documents after which, you courier it by DHL |
Travel › Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by ejimjesus: 5:33pm On May 14, 2018 |
piusford: That shouldn't bother you. If you want to apply as MLS you just have to wait and write the exam, wait for your result. You can go ahead and apply for the AIMS exam to be able to seat for the next one in Dubia or South Africa.
or you can go ahead and open EOI with your MLT assessment and update when you pass the exam. 189 awaits you after you have assessed as MLS and have up to 70 point, as it stands now ni.
Or go ahead with MLT if there is a state nominating by July. Thank you |
Travel › Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by ejimjesus: 3:09pm On May 14, 2018 |
piusford: I believe you have not gotten the assessment outcome letter. Your assessment will be positive for MLT since they are already asking you to register for the professional exam.
As for your question, you must not write the PROFESSIONAL exam before you open EOI. But you need your assessment letter to proceed with the EOI.
The email is to help people who wants to write the September exam meet up with registration deadline.
Relax and wait for your parcel. Thank you for the response, but I am a Medical Laboratory Scientist not a technician and I applied to be assessed as a Medical Laboratory Scientist |

oknee: Work experience starts from your internship. If you do not have a pay slip for any period, you can get your employer to write your pay breakdown in his letter headed paper. I used that for my internship period when i applied for assessment which was positive. Back any experience you are claiming with lots of documentation if possible e.g official correspondence. Please my colleague, this is the mail I received from AIMS what can you make out it? Dear Casmir, Your assessment has returned from the Committee and you have been assessed as eligible to sit the AIMS Professional Examination. The administration side of your assessment is being processed and will take a few weeks to be completed and be posted. As the deadline (1 June 2018) to enrol for the September 2018 AIMS Professional Examination is fast approaching, we can, on this occasion, accept an emailed application form for your provisional enrolment into the September 2018 exam, however, you must also post the original application form to us by 30 June 2018. We have attached the examination application form and information pack to this email. If we can be of any further assistance, please contact us. Your AIMS assessment number is: 720/18-2.1 Examination Application Fees can be found on our website: https://www.aims.org.au/services/assessment-options/Fees-for-Qualification-Assessment Kind Regards Bronwyn Curry Administration Officer www.aims.org.au Please must I write the professional exam before I can express my interest? |

00francis: GRANT! GRANT! GRANT! So I finally met the light at the end of this PR tunnel.
I am very grateful to the originators and active contributors of this very resourceful thread...the great wealth of information here has been invaluable.
BSc. Mechatronics.
12/06/16 EA Positive Outcome...Was Offered Professional Engineer NEC but i rejected it and Opted to submit another CDR based application for mechanical engineering. They finally gave me Technologist.
After 9 IELTS and 5 PTE tests, i finally got 20pts for English with one PTE result in Oct 2017.
20/10/2017 EOI 70pts...Did not originally plan to claim my 3 years experience because of cash payment mode and company currently is out of business. I thought it would be too hard to provide supporting document. When the whole skillselect drama with high points started, I had to get tax documents, payslips, employment contract and reference letter to support my claims.
09/11/2017 ITA 17/11/2017 Application Lodged 12/02/2018 CO Contact to upload transcripts, submit PTE result online, form 80 and AFP check. 21/04/2018 GRANT I see determination! Congratulations my dear, I love you spirit |
