TOTAL POINTS: 70 POINTS.
CO advised me to withdraw my niece application. I withdrew it on 29/03/2018.

Partner point will give you 5points.

Your partner will need to do a skills assesment for an occupation on the skilled migration occupation list for Australia and show competent English of 6 on ielts or 50 on pte if there are no special English requirements by the assessing body.

Your partner will need to show proof of functional English which is an overall score of 4.5 for ielts and 30 for pte. However, he/she will need competent English or higher if you are claiming partner point.
You can also choose to pay a second payment for English lessons for partner which is around AUD4K+.

I have barely made posts on this thread, but I have been following proceedings religiously!

Made a conscious decision to start the Australian PR process 20th November 2017 after much convincing by my brother @spyroxy1.

PTE 16 Jan 2018: SWLR 90,90,90,90 (Ist attempt)
EA positive Assessment: 3rd April 2018
Updated EOI: 3rd April 2018
ITA: 3rd April 2018

Points breakdown:

Age - 30 points
Qualifications - 15 points
Experience - 10 points (should have been 20 but EA removed 1 year from my work experience)
English - 20 points

Now I couldn't have achieved this without the support and encouragement from my brothers & sister @spyroxy1 @olalekankad @Alphadoor @Azy123 @Tuteso @frankdoch @MamaJazz. I'm deeply thankful to you all and I pray God crowns all our efforts in this journey.

To all who have wished me well on the PTE WhatsApp group, I say a very big thank you.

My time line is a rough one as you will see below; but to God be the glory,

Started with Canada runz in October 2014 when an agent kept calling me seriously to apply before January 2015 (saying the pool system will be in effect) I yimu and said make I pay N380,000 for this Jonathan period; lailai.
Reality dawn on me just before the election in 2015 and I regretted badly.

I registered for IELTS EXAM sept 2015 (LSWR - 6,6.5,7,7) I was able to go in to the pool but the points aren’t much (Canny). I
continued with the hustle and registered for job bank and began to see if I'd get employers nomination, for where??

In January 2016, I applied for exploratory visit to Manitoba where applicants can visit regions like Winnipeg, Brandon etc. Only 800 people are chosen worldwide (I wasn't picked).

February 2016, I took another IELTS (LSWR - 7,6.5,7,7) just to raise to the points in the pool. At this point, I wasn't aware about remark. I took it in good faith and let it be my fate.

I entered Manitoba pool (provincial nomination) in March 2016 and had 471 points (needed minimum of 500 for nomination). I struggled to get Manitoba connection at least to boost the points (to add 100points) so that I can hit 571 points - that would have given me straight 600 points in FSW, that one too story I looked for people with same surname for me and my wife's maiden name online. Nobody was ready to help with connection

September 2016. I got a call from a former office (Melissa, not her name shaa)) colleague who's in Perth, she lashed me like my mom, saying if I want to die in Naija. We practically had similar roles at work and promised to guide me through the process. I started writing my CDR in November for OZ runs, and at a point, I was like this thing na another project ooo. I was very conscious of plagiarism and this took me time until February 2017 to write 2 episodes. Melissa began to worry me if I have finished I said almost. I stopped picking her calls after some time until May when she gave me another spank. Eventually, I resumed my CDR ,completed in June and submitted on the 13 July 2017, got result on 7th August 2017 . I requested to be assessed as Engineering technologist. At that time, ET was 65 points while PE was 70 points. I thought getting ET will enhance my chances, Alas after the financial year, it upturned. PE became 65 points while PE was 70 points. I began to struggle with raising my points again.

I did 5 PTE's (too many to recount the dates) and Glory be to God I got 20 at last. I also need to let you know that I tried exploring partners point (Wify did IELTS 2 times).

As I type this, I still have a pending assessment with TRA (submitted December 4 2016, due to come out in March 4 2017). All this is just a bid to shoot DIBP/HA from all angles.

PTE has freed me at last at the third attempt.

S=90 L= 90 W = 90 R= 90.

For speaking please practice tongue twisters it will improve your fluency. My fluency jumped from 71 in the second attempt to 90 this time. Also spend time communicating in english, it will improve your fluency and pro reading, study collocations and re-order paragraph a lot and for the multiple answer section, if you are not sure of the answer please don't choose it because it attracts negative marking.
For writing, in the summary section, don't write too much because it will complicate the sentences. For listening, listen very well and try to pick 3 to 5 key phrases especially in the summarize spoken test.

I found that PTE requires thorough practice. Practice everyday and pray for grace.

Hello house, after the long awaited approval on my application. It finally got refused. The visa officer didn't believe I will return upon completion of my program. I'm thinking of trying again, this time I want to apply to a school with less tuition. Has anyone applied to UNE recently. Please How long does the application take? To all those waiting.... Keep believing it shall end in praise. No one should tell me take heart lol I'm not depressed. Just help me with the information please. And if anyone know about job prospect at New England too. Thanks

Bro, Get there on time and check out everything, when I wrote there earlier this year, the A.C wasn't working, I kept sweating like an xmas goat, pls endeavour to ask them about exam room, I lost valuable amount of concentration cleaning my sweat. Good luck...

After your english exams, prepare for assessment. Visit aims.org.au to get the requirements. Focus on getting all your work exp recognised for now.

Aims recognised your whole experience. You can only apply as mlt, mls is open for those that passes the assessment examination
For now, northern territory and queensland are sponsoring mlt. My advice is to go for queensland. They are fast in their turn around time and can sponsor you for 190. NT will give u only 489 after about 3 months of applying with them.
In terms of the proof of funds for queensland, you are only required to show proof of a certain amount. Build your acct and you are good to go.

For the first test (called Road to Solo driving test or learner's permit test) please download this book and digest it https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9BQ_eqt9kDvSm85bWM3Y1FxY28/view?usp=drivesdk. It contains knowledge of all the road laws in Victoria. You could also download this book from the Vicroads website.

For the second test (Hazard Perception test), you can check for practise materials at this site http://www.drivingtestvic.com/hazard-perception-test-practice-vic-hpt/.

I'm preparing for the third test which is the drive test. I'm using a trainer to guide me on what they will be looking out for. I know of someone who failed the drive test simply because she did not fully release the hand brake!
