*sigh* hmmm, you can manage "snap it" around Ihama- I hope they have a better stamp now tho. The one used for us then was smeared all-over but they tried with the specs. Iyamefa: |

Congratulations Osaze008, Oladainty, Mrstender and gistwivkome. May you find God's favour in the land. |
you are absolutely right but i don't think you are permitted to do it in all the parts plus you shouldn't even ask for clarification too many times; that says a lot about ones comprehension.I cant even remember many of these tips again. Shyee: |
No sir, pls dont get me wrong. i 'm not saying you should request for a change in topic, I only said you, by yourself can stylishly change the topic to suit you. For instance, you have been asked to talk about best vacation spot outside the country, you could say that '' you are not much of a traveler but you could tell her about your experience when you went for vacation in your village and you go ahead. Pls i wont suggest you ask for a change in topic- very risky

|
Well, if you are talking about how to ace the test generally. I think you have more than enough resources on this thread but if you are specifically talking about acing test in Benin center, then let me talk about the center and their speaking examiners. They usually use protea hotel- highly organised and generally ok. I wrote ielts twice, they have about 3 examiners for the speaking test ( a man and 2 ladies) the first person that that examined my speaking was a lady with a warm smile ,I spoke very well ( in my mind I thought I had done a good job) but alas, I got a 7. The second time,it was yet another lady but this time I had gone back to the drawing table to know that: 1. They are not so interested in my knowledge of the topic, just how well I can communicate my thoughts * hint* if you dont know much about the topic, you can change it to something you can flow well with and them communicate your own thoughts well. I did that and it worked. 2. Dont get carried away with their body language especially the smile/ frown * hint* focus on the task at hand 3. No point forming accent- be yourself( their accent is not that great too)pronouce your words clearly with good diction. 4. Oh I used a no of linking words ( they love it too in speaking) practice with your howevers, althoughs, alsos etc.and if you are good with idioms too,use it( in context sha o) 5. Its not an interview so be yourself,be chatty, you are free to gesticulate. If that will make you flow well ( I was very stiff during my first test). I was very tired on the day of my speaking test but all of these tips and more helped me. I was able to walk away with 8. (Forgive any typos- on the move) All the best sir. henryuzor: |

Congratulations to you all @codebrew85, @Randomsue, Newbie18 |
Yes, your sibling can help with the submission, just put everything in an envelope. Also, you should intimate him/her to go with change( very important) and his/her passport(without it,they wont let him/her in) do extra photocopies too just in case. DereI: |
Awwww beautiful and sweet to the ears. I rejoice with you all. Congrats to @dereI, @dappydappa,@ Bonnie1, @glitteringstar. There is nothing like going the legit way. I pity the desperate ones that use the backdoor( US visiting visa) only to start complicating their lives by claiming asylum, contract marriage et. al. I piry you( * in lasisi voice). Congrats again my people |
Congratulations!!! kendulala: |

I 've never done this, but then I couldnt resist your audacious tendencies. You really need to take a cold pure water to calm your hot body. We ve all been in that state but there is a saying that when a chicken gets to new place,it stands on one leg: to observe. Sir/ma i 'll suggest you settle down to study the thread very well before you start going after elders that have given so much to this thread. And yes, i think you need to apologise to newmum. Nobody is being paid to answer questions here ;so count it all joy wen you receive answers and wen u do not receive answers to your question. May5ive: |
I already shared sis, thanks for everything- you are a good soul, you will go far in life. All the best as you move onto the next phase. Ethelia: |

It was 1.5 pages in all. I used a letter format ( their address and all), had a bolded sub-topic for everything i explained e.g Ircc Address Dear ...... Letter of explanation Noc code change: ..................... Ielts:............... Pof............... Refrence letter................ Etc. Conclusion Sign out Ps. Even though i explained my pof in my loe. I still did a break down of the pof in a tabulated form and added it to my pof placeholder. I hope you find it useful. All the best. Sissnene: |

Long post alert! I have always dreamt of today . I give only God the glory for making it happen just like that ( snap fingers). my timeline: ITA- February 7th with 446 AOR- May 1st MEP- May 15th Ip 1- May 15th Ghost update- May 24th PPR- May 24th Submitted thru VSF lagos- June 1st Application approved- June 15th PUM-June 26th COPR(via vsf courier partner)- June 28th No Adrs Visa office- Ottawa Application details: Dont have a thing for long write-ups but i got so much from this thread; this is one of the ways i can give back . Someone might need this. Pof - used hubby's savings and gift deed from my brother. My husband did a bulk transfer and he wrote a letter of authorization stating that it was for our immigration waka( God bless @ ethelia for responding to my question on this). We also used 25% of his pension fund. We included: • Gift deed ( prepared by a lawyer and my bro also did an affidavit to join d matter)did not add my brother's statement of account • Statement of account ( hubby's and mine) • Hubby's payslip toojoin ( oversabi thing shey? My dear, anything to clear their doubt) • Letter from stanbic ibtc showing how much he is entitled to 4 months after resignation. In all we had a little above N10Million to show as proof of fund which was alot more than we needed for a family of 4 Work history: got a refrence letter in cic format( claimed only 2 years work experience, cos getting from my previous place of work wasn't exactly easy), hubby also got his but it wasnt in cic format so, he drafted his job description and attached it. We explained in our loe the reason why it wasnt in cic format. I also changed my noc code post- ita and used an loe to back it up( God bless you @ newmum0615 and many others that came through for me). Ielts: ok, so we got our ita with a crs score of 446. Along the line, hubbys ielts expired and he had to retake, that was how he had 6.5 in writing. This dropped our crs to 444. Thankfully, the draw score at the time of ita was 442. So we included an loe to state that even though our crs has dropped to 444 we are still well above the draw score. Loes: our loes were very simple and concise. I strongly advise that you make your words few and unambiguous. Medical and pcc:qlife and inspector moshood ( paid 9,500 for hubby n i) Vsf submission:My brother helped with the submission, and paid for vsf courier service for it to be brought to our address. [b] Things to note: Hubby n I have moderate travel history • Both of us have been refused US visa before • Hubby has been refused Canadian visa before. • We didnt fill schedule A form and there was no Adr for it. That's about all. The truth is, I cant say this was what we did or did not do that made our application super fast; it was just God's favour. Ofcourse, we tidied up the application well and made sure we were honest. I bless the day I stumbled on this thread, its been my manual on this journey. It contains all you need and more... pls for people just joining, read through and through. @ ethelia,@ newmum0615, @ luffyhaki @glitteringstar and all the amazing people on this thread- You guys are all shades of awesome( cyber full hug) thank you and thank you. God will honour you for all to see. AMEN! |
Hmmmmm! Sweet...big congrat bro/sis Ronards: |
I greet you all. Please, if after getting an AOR, there is a change in family composition e.g a parent dies or sibling. Will one need to raise a CSE to that effect? |
O my world! Had to come out of my hiding place to say big congratulations to you. Wow! Beautiful...pray you find favor. chiobich: |
