MrRemedyAlagbo:I swear, that collection of waybill has become a lucrative business at the expense of customers. Once the drivers arrive....even if its envelope, you must pay additional money and they say its for securing the item....how? ![]() |
I usually waybill items accross cities but in recent times i noticed drivers dont make any effort to contact the receiver but simply hand the package to a collaborator who always come off as storekeeper or park security - who will try to extort you. Could you share your experience and their mode of action in your area? For me, Ifeanyi Okafor - a driver for Peace Mass Transit 2138 brazenly collected double payment on a waybill sent from Abakiliki to Aba a few days ago. He was paid 3k which he charged when he collected it. But when he arrived he quietly handed over the items to a so-called store keeper who insisted he will be paid 1k before releasing the goods. As if that was not enough he said asked for another payment saying the driver was not paid and so asked him to collect the 3k. Every effort to get ifeanyi driver to pick his call and confirm things was in vain. finally the 2nd payment was made. But where the story gets interesting is that when we tried reporting the fraud to the management of Peace mass Transit in Aba, the supervisor abi manager there simply said 'the company has nothing to do with it....that we should continue calling the driver till he picks up' Its bad that a company will watch as its employees fleece unsuspecting citizens and the look away because its 'illegal waybill' as they call it.

I will not engage you. You are obviously a pay - per - post crew member on the Abia state Govt payroll! The only reason the protesters seem to be venting their anger on the companies perse is because the Governor is their son and kinsman! They don't want to be seen openly antagonizing their own person! But you and I know the truth. So residents of Umuchichi are not in Aba? Abeg carry your wahala dey go front 3duj:
|
So true...these Aba women have always risen to the challenge You beed to see how one is crying here about her daughter inlaw that lost her pregnancy due to bad road. And to think that this Umuchichi Obingwa road leads to the Governors village makes it all puzzling! PointZerom:

Why not, men dey Aba ooo Don't worry they will hear from us at the next elections!
|
The peaceful protest I ongoing now as women continue to shout that without roads in abia there will be no elections in the area in 2023 except for presidency
|
Citizens have trooped out this morning October 3 2022 to protest neglect of roads in Aba the commercial nerve center of Aba. The ongoing protest commented at Umuchichhi axis with residents alleging that two companies in the area - GZI industries and Glass force industries have been granted multi million naira tax relief by federal government yet the road remains a death trap. Calls are also made to government of Abia and other levels to come to the rescue of residents.

Lol which market exactly? I was in ikom today and they said it's not the season. The season comes up around June. They are selling one paint bucket for 10k but the don't have much. I also noticed the seeds are not as big and fresh like the ones in the above pishures from south east. We are happy to pursue any useful leads Quiny32323: |
gamaliel9:Sounds good. We will explore these. I hope they will have it in large quantities and not paint buckets. |
So we got an order online to deliver ten 50kg bags of bitter kola. For 7 days we barely have gotten 2 bags. We have were told it's sourced in Afor Oru in imo state and Nsukka in Enugu state but we have visited only to see a few paint buckets at N18,000 each. Abeg who knows names of communities or markets where one can visit and buy large quantities of bitter kola in bags?

This kind of advise and thinking is not for everyone. Both of us were As. We knew. But we married anyway with the resolve to eliminate SS possibility with Medical options. Each time she takes in we visit that sicle cell centre in Lagos near LUTH abi LASU sef... for prenatal testing. The last time we did it was between 250 and 300k. The test takes less than 30mins with minor discomfort to the woman. Usually done within the first 2-3 months. We have 3 boys that are AA today. None of our relatives know we are both even As or even the steps we take. We were both properly educated, weighed the options and here we are. Bottom line both parties thinking it through and making a decision. In our case we didn't consider 300k for prenatal testing to be a major expense. Also we were also open minded about medical abortion (should it come to that), but thankfully we have not had any need for any evacuation. Like I said, this is not for everyone. We are one in a million. I shared just in case there's that person out there that may be considering swimming against the tide and popular opinion. You are not alone. Everything is possible. Beblessedbaba:Thanks i know most of the touts front for immigration officers. What i need to know now is if there will be pushback if i insist on doing my own thing |
My passport has just expired and i need to renew it but i feel like filling out the forms on https://portal.immigration.gov.ng/passports/ and paying the govt official fees using my atm card. But wify is discouraging me and saying it may not be processed as the immigration officers will frustrate my effort. Has anyone applied on his own, please share experience. I dont have money to waste now paying double official fees to jobbers hanging around immigration offices or even the immigration staff extorting citizens. If you have successfully applied and gotten yours either new or renewal, please advise on how long, how much, issues that came up and if you'd advise someone to go that route. |
