Maybe you can email them to know the status of your application or better still check with the embassy since you are in SA but not sure they can allow you in.

I’m a lady 😁
Jesus!!! 6 to 12 months?
Maybe it’s because of the type application you applied for. My employer actually called them like 3 weeks after I submitted and they told him that it takes 45 days or more sometimes to process the visa

You actually submitted 3 days after mine. I submitted on the 13th of February.

I have not heard anything from them, I even sent them an email last week Thursday and no response yet. It was very strange because during the time I was looking for which Croatian embassy to legalize my police character, I emailed them few times and they usually reply within few hours.

So I’m wondering maybe they didn’t see my email and I’m thinking of resending but I’m not sure that will be a good idea because all these embassies sometimes have skoi skoi..

Charmingsamson please I’m still waiting for your response.

Eky29:
Good evening charmingsamson,

I hope you are doing well.
Please I would like to know if you process your visa application to Croatia from Nigeria through VFS Abuja?
If yes, please how long after submitting did you get a response from them?
I would like to know because their website said the visa will be ready within 45 days or more and now it is already 55 days and I’m yet to hear from them.

I have emailed them on Friday to know the status of my application and no response yet.
I’m very worried because my employer is already paying for my accommodation in Croatia and he’s not happy about the delay.

Can you advise me what else i can do?
Would it be okay to send them a another email?
Thank you and I shall await your response
TravelRe: Living In Croatia - Work And Study Route by Eky29: 3:20pm On Apr 09, 2024
Embassy of Croatia in Pretoria South African only process Nigerians visa application through VFS Abuja.

When it comes to legalization of Nigerian documents, Croatia embassy in South Africa doesn’t do that.

Embassy is in South Africa, do you have to legalize at the embassy or just to legislation it at MFA
TravelRe: Living In Croatia - Work And Study Route by Eky29: 3:16pm On Apr 09, 2024
It goes this way
Legalization at the federal ministry of foreign affairs Abuja?
Authentication at the Nigerian High Commission London .
Legalization at the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia London.

Yes, You can convert from student visa to work permit. You don't need to speak Croatia to obtain work permit
TravelRe: Living In Croatia - Work And Study Route by Eky29: 8:37am On Apr 03, 2024
Good morning,
Congratulations on your admission
If you are in Abuja, i will advise you walk in to the VFS Abuja and ask the staffs about the kind of visa application you should fill. Weather it is type c or type d.
Note: their visa fee is paid in dollar so you must have a dollar account in other to do that. And also ask them the exact amount you are to pay for visa fee, to avoid paying twice.

Going inside the VFS is the best to avoid being given a wrong information by the VFS customer care just like she did to me. Which cost me more money.
So get all the requirements right before proceeding.

quote author=mediafada post=129020265]

Thank you for your response, I'll definitely use genuine documents.

Like how much can I have in my bank balance.

Can I use regular travel insurance or I should do student insurance.

Am I to apply for the Schengen type C visa or type D long term visa?

Thank you.[/quote]

To get the work permit , that is after submitting all my documents is 4 months, it would have been less but getting someone to assist me in legalizing my police character in Nigerian embassy London and Embassy of Croatia London delayed the process.

I used LinkedIn

TravelRe: Living In Croatia - Work And Study Route by Eky29: 5:29pm On Jan 30, 2024
You don’t have to change the location on your profile but you can change the location in job search column on LinkedIn. Just like in the picture below.
It will bring out all the job advert in the particular position you want in that country

Very good question.
I don’t really know the document required for Croatia study visa.
But when it comes to Croatia work visa, CV, degree or waec result depending on the one you have and is required for the job. Certificate of apprenticeship ( depending on the kind of job) data page of international passport, passport photo, police certificate.
Note that: police clearance cert needs to be legalized at the federal ministry of foreign affairs Abuja and also in Croatia embassy. This is very important.

Also note that the above mentioned documents are required for obtaining a Croatian work permit.
Then once you have the permit, you can now go to VFS Abuja for visa application with the required documents for visa.

What proofs are there? Asides TOEFL and IETLS, how was the registration procedure? What documents were required?
TravelRe: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by Eky29: 10:24pm On Jan 19, 2024
The thing is that,
I recently got a job in the Republic of Croatia and my employer is assisting me to get a work permit in Croatia. I have submitted the required documents for obtaining a work permit including a police clearance certificate from Nigeria.

Now The Croatian police office in charge of issuing my work permit is requesting i legalize the police certificate at the Embassy of Croatia in Nigeria and unfortunately there is no Croatia embassy in Nigeria

. When I complained to them, they suggested I find someone or representative to assist me in taking the document to Croatian Embassy London for legalization since I’m living in Nigeria. They said that Croatia embassy in London are in charge of legalizing Nigeria documents for work/study visa.

So I have emailed Croatia Embassy London, they agreed to legalize but they asked me to send someone/representative to take the document to first Nigeria high commission London for authentication and after then the person can bring it to Croatia Embassy London for legalization.

I have already found someone that wants to assist me but he needs to get appointment in order to bring the document to Nigeria high commission. So that the problem now.
Please anyone that has a link on how to get appointment for Nigeria documents authentication should assist me .
It is very urgent ‼️

It is one their services , someone that knows about it should please tell me how to get appointment. It is very urgent

ReesheesuKnack:
1. You applied for, and obtained a police clearance cert.

2. You want to ‘authenticate’ the certificate at the Nigeria High Commission?

Is that because you wish to do that, or is it because an employer requires you to do that?
Honestly, this is the 1st time I am hearing about authentication.

The employer is requesting I do that.
Please how can I get an appointment or can I just walk in to do that?

Thank you for your response,

I have the police report already, I just wanted it to be stamped at the Nigerian high commission. And I need a link to get appointment or if it is something I can just walk in to the embassy to do.

Xanderlex:
Hi, I have no idea how to authenticate already existing police clearance certificate. My application was for passport renewal. For applying for the character certificate, you can post the required documents to Nigerian High commission in London. Detailed info is on their website.
