u still never tell us wetin you get against DE gea. even if his not the best in the world na surely top 4.so wetin be the problem. I dislike his lack of aerial command. I think he invites pressure because they know he would not go out. I ask you, why did he concede also against Fernabache? |
You didn't answer the Question Dude! I repeat..... did you consider the speed of the Ball?!
You and I know De Gea is weak at dealing with Corner Kicks, but as far as the Free Kicks were concerned, kindly spare him pls!
We don't have the technology to measure the speed of the ball. If it were DeGea, it would go in and the excuse would be that it was not his angle.
I see no difference in the speed of the ball. |

AdisaOwala: This is actually not a very good thing to do...
Per Adventure the freekick was hit with considerable force towards the far post (where the GK was expected to cover), it would take a miracle for him to save it and trust me, he would be at fault 200% if he concedes that way.
If your argument is based on DDG being rooted to the spot (without making any attempt whatsoever to save the shot), you might have a point but please stop blaming him for conceding via that sweetly-struck free-kick biko. I meant he moved before the ball hit the wall. Not before it was taken. A young keeper is able to anticipate that the shot could go over the wall, but DeGea forgets it can happen. |

Even the other one at the edge of the box, the keeper was on course to save it before it hit the wall and diverted. In football one has to been able to see many things. But all they see is DeGea dives to make super saves. But he also harm us with his lack of command of his box and inability to deal decisively aerial balls. |

Oasis007: @Elampiro
Though I give credit to the Lad for the Safe, but did you consider the speed of the Ball vis a vis the ones against De Gea?! So DeGea beaten against Fernabache and Swansea, you still give excuse. Romero has saved two, Peirera saved but DeGea beaten twice. Excuse excuse... it was over the wall blablabla. Today Peirera was set to save over the edge freekick at the edge of the box before the ball hit the wall. But DeGea doesnt move. Did you see Peirera come out today to deal with a corner far from him? DeGea would have been rooted on his line. |

SIRcumalot: the pace and the height of this freekick dey very easy to deal with it. wetin DE gea do you self? There is already excuse for DeGea. Chrisley024 did you the two free kicks against us that went over the wall. The first one, our keeper, Peirera already moved for the ball before it was diverted by the wall into corner kick.
The second the keeper saved it just exactly the kind DDG did not even move. |

joeace2020: I think that is the very first position Mourinho will strengthen. In truth his teams are built on a solid middle and the options we had this year were just not up to standard at all and worse we had to rely on the most unskilled of the lot most times. He will be looking for a physical player with good passing skills. Just like the Carrick of old. Yes, we cant rely on Fellaini. We need a good DM, then give Herrera an advanced role. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 5:21pm On May 20, 2017 |
I will like Ashley Young to be available for final. We need more forward thinkers and runners. If we need someone to bring a change from the bench, we will need Young. I don't know what Rooney and Mata are doing these says. Even Martial and Mkhitaryan have joined them.
Against Chelsea we were without Rooney, Mata, Mkhitaryan and Martial. And we were running at them. That was the match Fellaini gave 140% of his ability. But most times he doesn't reach half of that performance. |

When you play Carrick as the DM with Herrera and Pogba in front, it is very likely that Herrera will help to be more forward thinking and help to play forward passes. |

We got our best results in November, December and January playing this formation. Pay particular attention to the midfield three.
We beat Tottenham this period. Arsenal narrowly escaped defeat. We were thinking we could contest for the title again.
Fellaini returned to the team and became an authomatic starter. Perhaps part of the reason our going forward become slow. Although he contributes defensively, especially as he has to make up for the lack of height with Blind coming in for Rojo.

GTB: This bank has the highest number of customers! The only bank that looks like aba ariaria market. U queue like mofedaku. The only difference is that you see people with suits and pen, they have their wahala but I like them shaa
Skye Bank: Hian! This bank will just be looking like somebody’s bathroom. Very small bank, dem go jampack people like sardines! Their workers no dey even wear suit again probably because of heat… Everybody dey enter the bank with hand fan
Diamond Bank: Only their Lemon Green Colour can make you open 18 accounts with them even if nothing is inside. That is the only thing good about them. They have few branches in cities, their banking hall is like onitsha main market place. But their transfer protocol be like American constitution, simple to transfer with ATM, u go first go sign Non disclosure agreement.
Zenith bank: This one ehn…? The only thing dem know how to do best is to decorate their walls with mirrors. You will just stay at the front and be seeing someone behind you? Sometimes if you enter the bank, you will be confused, you won’t even know which road to follow because everybody is appearing two two for the mirror. I wonder if their CEO is a Crystal palace fan. Just carry crystal glass full everywhere!

I wonder if no be that bank dey hold all #5 CBN prints. Infact, they are the only bank whose ATM has pension button.
FIRST BANK. Ah ah ah, this bank can annoy somebody, their first wahala na their door, they will just be screening u like say na jamb office. If you enter nko, queue be like Aba road hold up for port Harcourt, Infact the most annoying tin is some of their workers behaviour, somebody will just be counting #7,000 with machine and #200,000 with ordinary hand. They can screen #1000 like keke people but the good thing about them is their ATM galleries. For that one them try.
Wema Bank that one na fishermen and panel beaters dey go there recently.
UNITY BANK: Make them just return their name back to BANK OF THE NORTH. Because how person go wan enter bank e go come be like say u dey enter Zaria city gate. , everywhere they smell Turare (perfume) even the cashiers speak Hausa with u because u wear Agbada.
Keystone Bank. This bank looks like they are always on strike. The banking hall looks like they only attend to one customer at a time.
Heritage Bank: that one looks like PDP Secretariat after 2015 election. Even their flag is worn out
Ecobank. That one looks like NaijaBet office. Its always jam packed on Fridays only. With lots of branches and many people that speaks amny African languages especially in Lagos branch Sometime I suspect that bank has something to do with Chelsea FC
Access bank: Na shakara dey worry them. Their account opening process be like application for Canadian visa.
Stanbic IBTC. The bank suppose to relocate back to south Africa. Everybody dey speak through their nose seff.
Verdict : The Nigerian banks have demonstrated that they are resistant and Resilient in a depressed economy. They have shown that back king can be done in an economy driven by generator and inconsistency in financial policies. That must be appreciated and applauded with vigorous expansion to other West African countries. These banks stand to be celebrated

Or his colleagues also voted him to win the 3 awards?
The same fans that voted for him to win the 3 player of the month awards are the ones you are now castigating for not voting him but voting Herrera as the POTY.
Nah for you o elampiro. In monthly awards, the memory is still fresh for the football players to make a reasonable judgement. Fans have a good level of judgement, but it is far from the excellent level of judgement of the professional footballers. Fans can easily be carried away by an ovation of the moment instead of looking at the overall picture of the entire period. If fans were to vote, James Rodriguez could have won the Ballon d'or of 2010 and Griezmann that of 2016. |

tess1: It is not happening for the first time. It has always been like that. There are seasons when there's a split like that before.
You should also remember that past players are also part of the fans that voted. This voting system has a large sample size compared to that voted by the players only.
The Matt Busby Player of the Year Award is the most recognised and most documented. Some (a section) of the fan based who voted no know ball. Don’t forget that. It is not also by chance that Valencia won 3 players of the month awards this season. The fans screwed it. |

Yes, Valencia won the Player's Player of the Year Award in 2011/12 season and he also won the Matt Busby Player of the Year Award that same season. There can be a split between the fans' choice and the player's choice. That's exactly what happened this season. And it is happening for the first time? Anyway, to me the Players votes are the most important and most dependable because they are the real professionals who understand the game. The PFA player of the year is voted by Premier league players. Not fans. Fans can be carried away by sentiments and looks. |

The Matt Busby Award was established in 1988 as MUFC Members Player of the Year award but was renamed Matt Busby Player of the Year award after Matt Busby in 1996. I know this, but it used to be the one voted by players that is the ultimate- sir Busby. Why a shift of the goalpost? Valencia won it in 2011, DeGea last three years with players votes used |

VALENCIA VOTED STAR MAN BY UNITED PLAYERS
18/05/2017 Antonio Valencia's consistently solid performances at right-back for Manchester United during 2016/17 have earned him the Players' Player of the Year award.
The Ecuador international was the top pick among his team-mates in the dressing room after an impressive campaign in which he won three Player of the Month awards from fans voting on ManUtd.com. One of only five players to make at least 40 starts during the season, he captained the side in both legs of this month's Europa League semi-final against Celta Vigo and could be a key player in the Stockholm final.
On picking up the accolade at Thursday's awards ceremony, Valencia said: "It's all about working hard. I'm very grateful for the words of the manager, the support of the fans and obviously on this occasion the support of my team-mates. I'm very grateful to all of them, especially Marouane!"
The 2015/16 winner of the squad's own accolade, Chris Smalling, told MUTV he had voted for Antonio this year and explained the reasons why.
"I think Antonio has been so consistent, at times he's been our outlet, whether he's been playing at right-back or on the right wing," said Smalling. "He's been so dependable as well, not just in an attacking sense, but also when he's been defending. Any winger or striker that comes up against him has to get around him. That means they have to be stronger or quicker than him, and neither of those is easy!"
Valencia previously won the Players' Player of the Year award in 2011/12 when he was also voted the star man by the supporters and scooped the Goal of the Season prize.
