raumdeuter:Tai!!! Stop it |
eph12:In every position, this team is better than what we have today. This is a world class team with Giggs and co still on the bench. JS Park too
|
I remember some guys once said Martial and Rashford are better than Salah and Mane when we were arguing about Mourinho two/three years ago. |
eph12:Madrid had how many world class players when they won the UCL again and again? Even now our two world class strikers are old. They cannot involve much in build up play. When we won the UCL in 2008, we had almost 11 world class players starting and more world class on the bench |
Just look at the way Ronaldo, Cavani and Bruno have been tearing defences apart with intelligent passes and runs. |
World class Ronaldo Cavani Bruno Others Rashford Greenwood Martial Lingard Fred McTominay Etc Now, does it not look like we have been overrating our players when contrasted with Ronaldo, Bruno and Cavani? If we sack Ole, can a new coach make these guys to play like Suarez, Benzema, Salah, Modric, Macelo, etc? |

Illimitable:Last season, others were scoring late goals too and we were coming back. But this is not to argue against Ronaldo. He is from another planet. Just to mention that other also did last year, so we cannot be the ones to rubbish them-Greenwood, Cavani, Rashford. I think without Ronaldo, we would be more conservative in forcing attempts or trying to put the ball in the box too often. We would be keeping it longer trying to open up clear cut chances, or get defenders dragged away for Greenwood to shoot. More of counter attacks too from Rashford, Greenwood, Bruno, Lingard/Martial I think the whole team is adopting and adapting a new way to attack with Ronaldo in the team. With him, we are seeing less goal attempts from McTominay, and other deep lying team members. |
Illimitable:Oga, I am talking about your forecast. Hia!!! You sabi shift goalpost |
If Illimitable forecast football bet for someone, he would lose terribly. He said the highest Ole will get in a run of four games is 3 points. Ole has got 4 points already from the first 2. Illimitable, don't ever attempt to play football bet. |
McTominay was awful in the DM position. Fred is far better there because he has a better networking ability. |
Bruno's football sense is too much. If only we could get a DM with similar football ability and awareness. We don't yet know if Pogba will do well with a world class DM. But for now, he is a waste of £80m or whatever his transfer fee was. He has played with Matic, McTominay, Fred, but unable to prove he can be a partner with any |
Illimitable:I thank God that Ronaldo played in my era. |
Illimitable:Show me where I said Mkhitaryan played under Van Gaal. I have shown you British writers and even Mam United legend who said Rooney should be dropped. You cannot shift this goalpost. |
Illimitable:Your assumptions are wrong. At one point, it appeared like all the media in England had an agenda against Rooney. Everyone said Rooney was was holding Mkhitaryan back in the number 10, the next thing was that Rooney was the reason Martial is not playing the number 9. But Rooney said considering what was on ground in the training ground, he was still good to start on merit. But the media would not back off, they said Rooney was holding Manchester United back after every draw or loss, the next 6 days was media analysis how Rooney was the obstacle. Then he left to Everton. I wonder where you were at the time.
|
Illimitable:You must have been living in planet Z |
Illimitable:Was it not British media that kept saying Rooney should be dropped by Van Gaal? England captain |
Illimitable:Terrible!!! Shaw the major culprit. |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWBKdXaQ8e4 "People are gonna say I'm miserable and I'll probably get slagged off by United fans, but I looked at that game thinking about Liverpool on Sunday," said Scholes. "I thought in that first half United were all over the place. "They were disjointed, they had the two midfield players playing on their own. "If you do that playing against Man City or Liverpool, at half time it'll be three- or four-nil, you'll be out of the game, you’re not coming back." He added: "They've come back from 2-0 down, great fighting spirit, but they conceded still so many chances. "Now if you're playing against quality players, there's no way you're winning that game, not a chance you're winning that game. "Everyone will get carried away with this euphoria now — will he [Solskjaer] play that way on Sunday against Liverpool? |
I am not making excuses for Luke Shaw, but in all the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th goals he was caught out of position, I did not see any winger tracking back to help him or cover for him. Hope goals scoring competition has not become a problem in the team? That is hoping that Greewood and Rashford are not looking to compete with Ronaldo for goals at the expense of the the team? |
I missed the last match. Against Atlanta I saw like the last 20 mins. I also missed the Leicester match, so it is hard for me to have an opinion on what is wrong. The other day Brender Rogers said United four front men don't press. In the Atlanta match, Scholes said that the four front men left the two midfielders exposed. After Liverpool's match we hear that there is a disconnect between Greenwood and Ronaldo. Greenwood seeking individual glory and not passing to Robaldo. What we used to have is that the front men fall deep to fight, to tackle and build forward. It looks like Ole told Ronaldo to conserve his energy, and so he works less without the ball. I have noticed he can work harder because when we were 2-2 score with Atalanta, I saw Ronaldo tracking back seriously to mark an opponent in our own third. Now, is there any chance that Greenwood has decided he will not sacrifice for Ronaldo? If he is not ready to sacrifice for him, then we can start playing Lingard who has a huge ability to track back. |
TrebleChamp:Counter attack is Ole's best football. His 4-2-3-1 has been criticised as it is mostly set up as 4-2-4 this season. The four front men are said to leave a load of work for the two middle men. Paul Scholes warned about this. He said if United played same way they did against Atlanta, the scoreline would be reading 4-0 or 5-0 when they face Liverpool |
Shellsploit:It's not possible to undo what haa been done on internet. The records stay forever even if deleted. The intelligence agencies have superior devices to see all your activities, and how you modified and what has been modified and deleted. The more you modify, the more you are seen as a criminal because you actually knew what you were doing. |
adebayo201:Ole is an apprentice coach who is learning on the job. He has some knowledge but he doesn't have a long experience on the job that should enable him to handle difficult situations faster. The mistakes he makes now are the mistakes he should have made coaching a team like Leeds United for about 3 years, then coach Leicester for 2 years before thinking of Manchester United. |
Luke Shaw caused all the 5 goals. This was a problem with his defending mentioned two and a half years ago. He was always drifting inside while defending thereby exposing his flank for attack. Klopp must have read his game and utilised it. Liverpool did not do anything special other than to utilize the bad positioning of Shaw. Ole on his part did not appear to have read this quickly. |
I missed the match but I see the highlight now. Why does it look like Luke Shaw was culpable for all the 5 goals? He played then onside for the first goal. He kept drifting inside and leaving his position for Liverpool to ghost in to score. This was a duty Ashley Young, a former winger, handled with ease. https://www.instagram.com/tv/CVbWt1MlWmU/?utm_medium=copy_link |
Arsene Wenger thinks Ronaldo has caused imbalance in the team |
It looks like Ole was riding on luck, or he has run out of tactics. |

Toni Kroos' agent Volker Struth: "In April 2014, Man United sent a contract. The coach at the time David Moyes personally visited Toni. United's arguments and contract offer were clear love signals. Toni Kroos agreed to join Manchester United. "I still have a copy of the contract today, only missing Toni's signature. On 22 April 2014, Moyes was sacked as United manager. We had to start the search for a new club over again." ..... I saw this somewhere. Is this true? |
