I said the new laws make saving penalties more difficult for goalkeepers.

You said it wasn’t a new law cos the law had existed for 120 years and nothing De Gea is facing now is any more difficult than what goalies faced in the past.

I proved the laws had been updated in 2019 to include a goalkeeper putting at least one foot on the line, not touching the post or cross bar, etc plus the referee now has a video assistant to help him get a second look if a goalie infringes on the new laws.

That was when it got spooky for you and you have been running helter-skelter since. Your best example was getting a video where a goalie came off his line multiple times without getting any caution - which actually proves my original statement.

If you have any shame, you’d drop this topic.

You have been clinically exposed to be a fraud. grin
Putting one leg on the line and putting two on the line which is more difficult?

You did not know from the beginning that there was this law from 1905 ( FIFA 14 law) which required the goalkeeping to put two legs on the line until the penalty is kicked.

The bolded sentence below is the point.
Yes I know. Then I told you that being forced to stay on the line started since ages ago. I saw even 1905. But you went on saying it is a new law. It was later you started talking about enforcement and changing your stance

Even now, I read Eufa made it easier for the goalkeeper since 2020. Penalty are not to be retaken unless the keeper seriously infringe the taker. So forget the excuse for DDG

Henderson is a bum. United would have lost at normal time if he had been in goal.

Saving penalties isn’t easy anymore with goalkeepers being forced to stay on the line until the ball is kicked.

The taker has to be very poor for a goalie to have a chance. The Villarreal keeper didn’t save any too apart from De Gea’s kick.

De Gea should never have been put in that position - he’s a goalkeeper, not a penalty taker. If Ole had done the needful, he would have brought on VDB, Mata, Amad at the 60th minute to try and win the game.

Ole deserved to lose. Stop putting the blame on De Gea.

You and the author of that piece are both drunk.

In the video I watched, at no point did the referee communicate with the goalkeeper for any wrongdoing.

He didn’t caution him or give him a yellow card. There was no sign language or any form of communication between the referee and the goalkeeper and yet the referee was booking the players outside the box.

Watch the video yourself instead of reading a useless write up that didn’t capture the true event. If you are blind, ask a neighbor to interpret what happened in the video you sent.

The goalie wasn’t at fault as far as the referee was concerned otherwise he would have walked to him or signal to him to stop coming off his line.

Stop lying.
The 4th penalty due only to the goalkeeper's encroachment. You just like argument. I have shares both video and part of the article

You never change. At least two of the retakes were as a result of goalkeeper's off his line. And there were no cards in those instances

So you have finally come full circle to admit the laws were changed recently plus there’s now VAR to enforce it?

Watch this video of 2004 and be enlightened. The keeper kept diving out to save and the referee ordered a replay. Sometimes, the player scored but his team mates encroached into the box

Even now I just saw that the decision is is left in the hands of the referee in the EPL after VAR made a costly mistake in women's world cup.
.........
Video assistant referees in the Premier League this season will not rule on a goalkeeper’s position on penalties.

VAR will be used in the league for the first time from August, but referees chiefs have made the call that the technology will be not be used in decisions on a goalkeeper’s position for penalties, and will instead be left to the on-field officials to decide.

The law started with VAR and it was enforced with VAR. Pre-VAR, referee had no opportunity to get a second look if the keeper had cheated unless the keeper made it way too obvious.

A law isn’t a law until it’s enforced. Abortion is illegal in Nigeria but an estimated 60,000 abortions are committed every month in Lagos. What you read on paper has no relevance if people are getting away with it.

Go and rest.
The law has been used since 1905. Everyone knew about this law. You are not qualified to analyse football. It is FIFA rule 14. All FIFA rules are in use. Sometimes, for whatever reason, one tournament can see ref ignoring an issue

I am not sure you understand English. Don't twist anything. Just humbly admit that you were ignorant that the law did not start with VAR.

I told you I saw this law from time immemorial. We also used it in our school games in the 1990s. You will hear, their keeper move o, na replay.

Lastly, I told you that google says it was introduced in 1905. Any laxity in any particular tournament did not represent the law. You are looking for exceptions instead of the general law through ages.

“The keeper moved forward. It was not spotted by the referee’s team. It was a mistake. Unfortunately it happens but it was a mistake within a match that was refereed well,” Collina said.

He said the tournament’s remaining 12 refereeing teams had been debriefed on Friday before the knockout phases and among the topics discussed was goalkeepers moving off their line.

These were referee errors. Read the 2nd paragraph of this screenahot from article of 1994

GKs we’re still doing it until VAR was introduced. The introduction of VAR introduced the law that at least one foot must be on the white line until the ball is kicked.

This was Dudek against Pirlo in 2005.

It is quite new.

Long before this season, GK’s were able to game the system because there was no VAR to check if the keeper came out of his line or not.

Until last season where every pen gets reviewed to see whether GK gained an advantage via cheating. Liverpool couldn’t have won the 2005 CL final with the nonsense Dudek was doing in Istanbul.

He cheated over and over and got away with it.
It's not new. The linesman watches it. Before VAR, keepers were penalised for such. As far back as 2007, it was used. Much before, it was used. Now I see it was introduced in 1905 from google search

It would be a totally different game if Henderson was in goal.

Little details like speeding to start attacks after catching a ball and giving the ball away can create chances for opponents.

You are putting the blame on the wrong person. Your world class manager took out Greenwood to bring on Fred while searching for a goal - De Gea’s fault.

Your world class manager made no changes in normal time to try and win the game. Emery made his first change in the 60th minute - De Gea’s fault.

Villarreal have the budget of Crystal Palace and yet Ole couldn’t find a solution to break down their low block - De Gea’s fault.

While watching the game, I imagined it was against some top club in the Champions League, they would have had us for dinner.

Match only got to penalties because Villarreal were sh!t as well.
Legends like Roy Kean should leave us alone. Their criticism of McTominay and Fred made Ole to drop one of them, so that he won't be blamed if it went wrong. I strongly believe if we started them and having Mason as a super sub, we would have won easily.

Mason for Rashford would have been a direct sub and bring more freshness and threat
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 9:45am On May 27, 2021
Ole said he had a load of goalscorers and match winners starting that should have won the match.

But he lost balance by not selecting Fred. Yesterday, build up from back was mechanical. Then we needed small players to utilise close spaces, it was not there. Pogba and Rashford were too long in stature to do damage. This was why Greenwood was more successful in zigzagging into dangerous areas. Even Bissaka and McTominay looked like trailers.
