Bringing out one useless article to generalize that Rooney was often sacrificed to accommodate other players is a lie cooked from hell. I have information of how many games Rooney played as a centre forward. In actuality, he played most of his games as a centre forward contrary to what you RooneyBots have been made to believe over the years.

No matter how you shake it, Rooney is about 2 tiers below Aguero. Stats(facts) don’t care about your feelings. The statistics show Rooney played 238 games as the main striker, 165 games as supporting(2nd) striker, 75 games as attacking midfielder, 21 games as left winger, 17 as right winger and 13 games as a central midfielder.

After extracting these facts from the web, I filtered the games played as a main striker and compared to Sergio Aguero. The result was even grimmer than the total stats showed. Rooney was found wanting again and again. I know this would come as a shock to you but that’s what my expertise is. The whole point is to rehabilitate all you media sheep that believe Rooney scored fewer goals because of his versatility.

The stats comparing Rooney and Aguero from the same position(main striker) are below.

Aguero(striker) - 207 goals, 52 assists in 296 games.

Aguero isn't Rooney mate as long as football is concerned. Rooney is 200 times high and shoulder above aguero as football is concern.
