Yes. I used a lot of sources tho like musictheory.net (website), "music theory for dummies"(book), painoforall (video), There is one other website I used that was very helpful. I can't find it now.
You'll learn faster if you have an instrument.

No. I'm planning to get a new one with better spec. The screen of my old one broke and after repairing it, it refused to come on.

Before then I was teaching myself fl studio but I didn't like the beats I was making so I had to learn music theory and how to play the keyboard. In the process I wrote some really cool songs.
