Policing, the Nigerian Police & Corruption

In 2013 our Engineering company got a job with the then Delta state government to fix the Solar Street Lightning of the state capital, Asaba. A huge contract was initially awarded to a company but they did a sub-standard work. We did a quality job on the Solar Street Lightning that the supervising Engineers in the state Ministry of Works always mocked us that "Hausa people no like money!". I spent 3 months in Asaba, Delta state.

While there an Engineer shared a true life story with me about a senior Police officer who is an indigene of Delta state. I will share this story with Friends.

This senior Police officer who is now retired has 8 children all grown up and University graduates but he warned them that none of his children will join the Nigerian police. Two of his children insisted that they want to follow his footstep but their father was adamant.

Then one day his wife pointedly asked him why is he preventing his children from joining the Nigerian police? The man called a Family meeting. When everybody was seated the man cleared his voice and said "I am now born again Christian and as long as I live none of my children with join the Nigerian police".

The man said he did terrible things for money while in the Nigerian police. He told the children that he will tell them just one instant. He said there was an armed robbery in the house of one of the elites of the state. They received an emergency call and he quickly dispatched a police team to the area. Three of the armed robbers were arrested. He said after a week the leader of the armed robbery gang contacted him for the release of the three armed robbers in exchange for 10 million Naira. They accepted the money and released the robbers.

After a month that Delta elite went to Abuja and met the Inspector General of police who was his classmate at the University. The police IG ordered that those 3 captured robbers should be sent to him. The retired police officer said they abducted 3 innocent people, tortured them and sent them to Abuja as "armed robbers". He said usually the police don't take such armed robbers to court, they will take them to Bush, ask them to run and shoot them. That was how those 3 innocent people were killed.

When he finished this story everybody in that house was crying. He looked at his children and told them this is just on case. There are many. None of his children ever disturb him with joining the Nigerian police again.

I am not asking Nigerians not to join the Nigerian police. No, police job is among the most honorable and God rewarding jobs if one is honest and corruption free. Everything about policing is service and help to humanity. And conversely, the easiest ticket to Hell Fire is dishonesty as a police officer.

Dear Friends, the Nigerian police is undoubtedly the most corrupt police force in the world. The most decorated Police officer in Nigeria, DSP Abba Kyari, was recently unmasked by the FBI as an international fraudster that is in bed with the infamous scammer Hushpuppi. It is not an exaggeration to say that 99% of the Nigerian police are extremely corrupt. Please note: Not corrupt but extremely corrupt.

Arbaeen Walk (2021)

This #Photo is for Arbaeen Walk to #Karbala in the year 1916. Today the Arbaeen Walk is the largest yearly pilgrimage in the world.

Many Tyrants of history have tried to stop the Arbaeen Walk over the years yet it continues and only gets greater. Imam Hussain’s (as) message will never be silenced by any barbarian!

What I foreseen in the future is Arbaeen Walk from Africa to Karbala, Iraq. This will happen one day InshaAllah!

The leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) yesterday (Sunday 19th September, 2021) met at his residence in Abuja with Families of Martyrs of the Saudi-sponsored #ShiaGenocide agenda in Nigeria.

Why do Democracies Fail in Africa?

"Democracy is the worst form of government for a poorly educated populace.

Asking uneducated people to choose the leader of a 21st century economy is just stupid.

That's why African "democracies" continue to fail.

It is not an understatement to conclude that democracies are failing in Africa. Most of what we have in Africa today are distorted and adulterated democracies to suit the wimps of the tyrannical rulers and their imperialist masters. Democracy has failed in Egypt with the overthrow of President Morsi. Democracy is failing in Nigeria with the oppressive and tyrannical actions of Tyrant Buhari. Democracy is a fraud in Uganda and Cameroon. Democracy equate corruption in South Africa and Kenya.

I totally agree with the above postulation. How do you expect uneducated and unenlightened populace to vote for credible leaders that will provide good governance?

When you have lots of idiots in a society, best example Northern Nigeria, how can you stop majority of them from voting for idiots like them? It is important to note that idiots are easily brainwashed, controlled, deceived and manipulated.

And with the excruciating extreme poverty in Northern Nigeria how can you prevent them from selling their votes to the highest bidder? The cheapest votes buying is in the North while the highest is in the South West, why? Due to standard of living.

The great Greek philosopher Socrates did not agree with the concept of "one man-one vote". He reasoned that poorly educated electorates can not vote for good leaders that will provide good governance. Socrates suggested the philosopher-kings concept. That's the central thesis of Socrates' analogy of a ship.

In his view, philosopher-kings should be identified and trained in governance from an early age. They then become leaders cos of their skills rather than charisma. Skills, not charisma.

This is what the Chinese are doing today and they are highly successful. There is no Western liberal democracy in China. China train leaders at a young age and groom them to have skills of governance. Today China is among the least corrupt countries in the world and the good governance in China is world class.

Not entirely correct. BokoHaram has a Wahhabi Takfiri ideology to murder the innocent. IPOB does not have such a murderous ideology. IPOB is a manifestation of Tribal extremism fueled by the genocidal massacres and extreme nepotism of the genocidal criminal #Buhari.

Five Nigerian Activists who Championed the Free Sheikh Zakzaky Campaign

As we celebrate the historic court victory of the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky, we should remember five (5) prominent Nigerian Activists that gave their everything for his freedom.

Their Names:

The Daily Sit-in protest that Activist Deji Adeyanju and his Concerned Nigeria group organized at the Unity Fountain in Abuja was a turning point in the struggle for Free Sheikh Zakzaky campaign. Members of the Movement, Sheikh Abdulrahman Yola, Dr. Shuaibu Musa and Hajj Gamawa were constantly and consistently present at the Unity Fountain.

Sister Ndi, Deji and Danfulani were regularly present in peaceful #FreeZakzaky, Ashura procession and Arbaeen Walk. In some of these programs and activities, heavily-armed soldiers and police came out shooting with live ammunition.

It is important to note that these 5 Activists are Christians but they stood with Truth and Justice despite the fact that they received death threats on multiple occasions. President Buhari's Elite presidential guard commander bluntly told Deji Adeyanju that "Shiites are infidels (so they should be slaughtered)".

On all their multiple social media platforms they were daily active for the freedom of Sheikh Zakzaky and justice for victims of the #ZariaGenocide. They used their money to fund all their activism for this Just cause.

In the African tradition, I kneel and say 'Thank You"!. God will reward you abundantly.
