MaziOmenuko: You mean colleagues that were far away waiting for PMB for a meeting he never scheduled in the first place? By the time the old men would have dragged their feet back, election would have ended.
Exactly! Even an attempt to impeach will cause so much rancor that APC will be seen as not being capable of internal democracy; isn't that waht the PDP wants to achieve all these while?
My assertion is that the PDP let a golden opportunity slide them by. Nothing would have stopped them from hijacking the process and installing one of their own. As in ehn it would have bin a historic day...I guess they weren't just thinking in that direction sha |

BLOTRS: haba this aint baby politics nau...you need to think!....PDP knows that doing so will make Saraki return back to the APC camp and work out ways to impeach any senate president from pdp..the best shot is bargaining for the post of the deputy senate president...congrats to the east. though the chips were down, they still managed to clinch something. Saraki going back 2 APC should b d last thing on their minds. 59(assuming they win Zanna's seat) APC senators can never impeach a Senate President in a house of 108 members. |

cooljude: It would be stupid for PDP to follow your strategy. The game is not about being totally incharge but they want to have a say by proxy and they want this happenings to scatter APC the more. The target is 2019 and if they had followed your strategy Dogara (pdp ordained candidate) would have surely lost because those rebelled APC member would no longer trust the new alliance. For the first time, i am honestly enjoying this game and i hope it would result to the betterment of Nigeria because my normal view is that they are after their own interest. They are after their interest. My argument is that don't u think they are on course for a nice 2019 election if they had d senate president in their instead of thinking Saraki will help them have a say in d Senate. The Saraki I know can never b trusted . This is someone that betrayed his father&sister and forced them out of PDP in 2011 |

meforyou1: No, we are not selfish people. Give it to APC, they won majority. PDP earlier said they won't present a candidate for senate president or house speaker. They stood by their words This isn't about being selfish. Saraki betrayed PDP in the past, as one of the main mover of the Baraje led PDP which ultimately led to their loss of federal power. I don't think PDP should embrace d guy as they had d greatest chance to finish him today. |
Politics › Re: Tension As APC Senators Moving To National Assembly To Elect Another President by ElDeeVee(m): 3:38pm On Jun 09, 2015 |
9jatriot: Exactly, but it also begs the question what APC meant to achieve by been away from the venue of a scheduled meeting at a time they should have been there. The whole thing does not make sense at all to me. If PMB was not around, did they call his mobile to confirm if he was still coming or not or if he even scheduled the meeting in the first place.
This drama is too sensational, I can't get my head round it. Its a serious issue mehn I don't think this APC can handle the national politics |
Politics › RE: Political mistake by ElDeeVee(op): 3:36pm On Jun 09, 2015*. Modified: 10:33am On Aug 16, 2016 |
With the drama at the National Assembly today, I feel the PDP should have showed Saraki the real meaning of betrayal by nominating and electing a PDP senator as the senate President.
What do you think guys?? |
Politics › Re: Tension As APC Senators Moving To National Assembly To Elect Another President by ElDeeVee(m): 3:24pm On Jun 09, 2015 |
I think pdp made a big mistake today...since there were 57 members present earlier today, it means 49 PDP and a mere 8 APC members were there. It means a PDP member would have emerged president if he was nominated by his party man. That worked for Ekweremadu for DSP
That would have been interesting and would have showed Saraki d real meaning of Betrayal |

fasbat: like ur analysis ,however Hon Dogara can never get block vote from PDP being dt Hon Gbajabiamila is well grounded and been around enough to convince PDP members on his suitability. You can hear Hon Gbaja saying dt he is not Tinubu's candidate and stooge and dt he had to meet with Emir of Kano,Gov Aregbesola and Alhaji Atiku to convince Jagaban on his new adventure,it will be interesting how d power play will unfold on d floor on Tuesday. Regrettably, why is all d fuss about leading NASS? Money? 2019? Power? Don't just grab it! D desperation of Nig's politician is well documented! Imagine some lawmakers threatening to 'move' back to where they came from just because of power tussle in ur party? Very disheartening...... Politics › Re: Amaechi Counters Wike’s Looting Claim, Releases Government House Photos by ElDeeVee(m): 4:10pm On Jun 06, 2015 |
hush15: And why won't i trust Wike!
Ameachi was the outgoing governor who is not distant from such tendencies based on anger, grudge and pure immaturity displayed in earlier behaviours. Wike is the incoming, why would he destroy where he is moving into when he has four years to mop as much wealth as he can, that is following Ameachi excuses. Doesn't make any logical sense.
Ameachi may not steal it literally but he allowed it by his cronies just to spite Wike like an insult which is more believable than ameachi claiming Wike is did it to extort state government.
When he refused to hand over, and it happens, Ameachi is to blame cos it is his duty to ensure that a proper handover took place.
So I have Ameachi to blame for it, which ever way. Ok bro, your point is duly noted My point remains, ANY (Wike or Amaechi) could be lying |
