Here is the draft of the Letter of REVIEW: 7th March, 2011 The Consular Officer British Deputy High Commission Walter Carrington Crescent Victoria Island Lagos Dear Sir RE: , ABV/, : LETTER OF ADMINISTRATIVE REVIEW OF VISA APPLICATION We are the representative of , , a Nigeria National, and it is with his consent we are making this application for a proper review of his Visa application. Our client had applied for UK Visit Visa but his application was refused by your commission. Our client is a Chartered Accountant, and a Banker with good work experience. Our client works for , Bank Plc, one of the 24 commercial banks in Nigeria. He has applied for an entry clearance at the British High Commission in Lagos and the application was refused. In refusing the visa application, the Entry Clearance Officer (ECO) had cited Act paragraph 41(vi) and (vii) of HC395. He, the ECO, adduced that the application of our client could not be approved because the money he would spend during the holiday would be as twice as his monthly salary. And because he had got family to cater for, his reason for the trip might not be genuine after all. In submitting his visa application, our client has submitted his personal statement of account, letter of introduction from his employee stating his annual salary and his position in , Bank Plc, letter of promotion (issued and showing his remuneration), evidence of landed property, marriage certificate, family photographs, hotel booking among other things. In defense of our client's visa application, we make the following submission: Our client is a Banking Executive and by virtue of his position earns N296,553 every month excluding other monetary benefits that accrue to him as shown by his letter of promotion. As an employee of a major commercial bank in Nigeria, he earns an upfront payment of N787,500 from his annual emolument and this payment is made on quarterly basis. Our client had provided necessary documents for the perusal of the High Commission. He has submitted a statement of account where it was clearly stated that N375,000 and N575,000 (being Leave Allowance and Ticket Allowance respectively) have been deposited into his account by his employer. (Please see the attached) We are of the firm belief that the ECO did not put this money into consideration before reaching his/her decision concerning our client. This money, surely, was paid by our client's employer (, Bank Plc) and it was meant to take care/augment his trip to the UK. Having regard the money our client claimed that he earned monthly and the Leave & Ticket Allowances, we are of the position that our client had the financial muscle to undertake the trip and without his recourse to public fund when he would get to the United Kingdom. The ECO, we opine, did not put our client's peculiar case into consideration. He is a brilliant officer in a commercial bank with close to more than a decade banking experience and with high job security, having regard to the fact that he just got a new promotion. He has social and family ties here in Nigeria. He has properties and he is an established man with brilliant career plan and good intention to visit the UK. We are of the view that he had met all the requirements under the paragraph 41 of the immigration Acts as promulgated by the House of Commons of the UK (the ECO had left out important documents for consideration and relied heavily on his personal thought), therefore our client merited the visa in the first place and the British Commission was supposed to issue him the same. In view of this, we are appealing to you to use your good office to review his application so that justice and fairness upon which the UK is run can be seen and said to be in practice. While we are looking forward to hearing from you in the shortest possible time, please do accept the assurances of our highest regards. You may wish to note that the decision to refuse your client's application for visa was carefully reviewed and subsequently endorsed by an Entry Clearance Manager. However I have further reviewed the case papers in light of your correspondence and I am pleased to tell you that I have recommended that your client's previous refusal decision be overturned. Your client will be contacted shortly and may be asked to come into our Visa Office. Your client may also be asked to bring in up to date evidence to support your application. Please note that although I have recommended that this visa be issued, if your client's circumstances have significantly changed since his/her application, or should other evidence or facts come to light, this recommendation is no absolute guarantee that he/she will be issued with a visa. Yours sincerely, Visa Correspondence Unit Visa Services | International Group | UK Borders Agency |
So sorry about your case. However,I will suggest you do a review of the case before you file another visa application. Please do not be desperate to go to the UK.Even If it takes many months to prosecute your case at the BRITISH High Commission(and your case is found worthy),you will still be granted an entry clearance to enter the UK.Your case is similar to my brother's.He made a visa application without my knowledge, but when he was refused,he got in touch with me.After perusing his visa application form and supporting documents,I found out that there was certain lacuna in his application. Some vital information was not well noted in the visa application form.I told him that, from experience, the Entry Clearance Officer will first of all pay attention to the visa application form before looking at the supporting documents. He only looks at the supporting documents to crosscheck the information provided in the visa application form.In some cases,he would arrive at his decision by looking at the form alone. I drafted a Letter of Review on his behalf and I brought out all the salient information in the supporting documents but he had hitherto failed to enter in the visa application form. After some months of following up the case,he got a positive response from the British High Commission. Please note that the ECO is not a magician. He only puts into consideration the information you want him to consider. And this information,I repeat, must be noted in the visa application form.Even if you submit loads of documents, you may still not get the result. My brother,a Banker and Chattered Accountant of many years experience, failed to provide necessary information in his visa application form and thus was rejected. If you would not mind,I will try post the letter of review I wrote for him so that you can use it as a guide. best of luck. |
To submit a REVIEW,you will not undergo biometric process again and you do not pay any fee. However, you will need subject yourself to biometric exercise each time you make a fresh application. |
I doubt if flight reservation is part of requirements for UK visa application.I am of the firm opinion that the ECO left out important documents for consideration and relied heavily on inconsequential detail.Having regard that you also submitted a flight reservation, you stand a very good chance of upturning this decision.I will suggest you submit a letter of review for a fairer assessment of your case. Please do address it to the Entry Clearance Manager.Ensure you send it directly to the post where the application was treated(i.e abuja ABJ,Lagos).Of recent, applications for visit visa submitted at the Vfs Lagos are treated in Abuja.Just check the reference;if it starts with LAG/, this indicates that your application was treated in Lagos. However,if the reference on the Notice of Immigration Decision starts with ABJ/, ,it shows it was treated in ABUJA.If you send the letter of review to the appropriate post, you can get a decision in a shortest possible time(most of the time within 20 days). If you are in Lagos and you are sending your REVIEW to Abuja, you can use Fedex/Red Express. It costs about #2,645.It will get to the High Commission the following day.Submit the Review with copies of the Checklist and flight itinerary.Emphasise that the document under discourse was actually submitted in your visa application but the ECO was not diligent by not putting consideration before arriving at his decision. You may send a soft copy of the REVIEW to the embassy email.Exhaust the process of Review first before filing a new application. From experience,I have understood that the ECOs are always quick to look for a lacuna to refuse fresh applications. |
A Nigerian passport holder is expected to have an entry clearance before he can enter Dubai. The entry clearance(visa)is sent to you by a dubai based sponsor. It is sent through fax, At the point of entry, the number on the entry clearance is imputed into a system and check if it is correct, then a stamp is placed on the passport. Some hotels are accredited to sponsor their client. So in some cases,a hotel can get the entry clearance for you on a fee, after you must have reserved and confirmed a room .Note:Without an entry clearance from a sponsor in Dubai, you can't enter Dubai. |
Hi.I got your post, but how much is it?I am an agent too and I have a number of people interested. You may send the details to studyabroadmanual@gmail.com |
Atiku |
Atiku has diplomas in Hygiene and Law.With these,he can not be said to be uneducated. Some people were very brilliant when they were growing UP,but never had an opportunity to go to the universities(may be because of financial constraint or lack of exposure to financial aid/scholarship. With Atiku diplomas,he joined the Customs and became an Assistant Director(now assistant comptroller of customs),attending many in-service trainings and courses to brush up himself. If you know the dynamics of Nigerian public service, you will agree with me that for someone to have risen to the position Atiku reached in the customs,he must have been exposed to a series of management/executive courses that would have put him in good stead to carry out his duties effectively. My dad was never awarded a university degree, but he was the brain behind most of the government building projects in the Old western Region, later Oyo state, then Osun state. He passed the Ministry of Labour /productivity trade test 1,2,3 and City and Guilds exams at once sitting. He has an excellent understanding of all aspects of building technology(including Architecture).Records show that he attended management courses in the Uk,UI and Russia(sponsored by Nigerian government). In 1993,he retired from the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources as an Assistant Director, after serving for 37 years.if you meet him ,you will know that he is very intelligent and skilled in his profession. For Ebele,he spent 10 years to finish his doctoral thesis. Why?He could not withstand the expected mental and academic stamina the programme of such level entails. By their fruits we shall know them. All the Phd HOLDERS I have met in my life are very organised and cerebral.Ebele is an isolation. For this reason,I doubt the quality of his PhD.Gbam |

Ikem, I sympathise with you.The best option is to return to Nigeria and do proper planning. However,to answer your post,SA passport is well recognised.Bon chance. |

'Dr wilson',you again! |
@karedex.Please be cautious about this.A very close friend of mine did it when I was an undergraduate in UNILAG,but he was not successful, despite his connections.HE ended up using almost 4 years chasing nothing. My advice for you you is this.If you have the resources, you may put in for Cambridge A'levels and If you have very good grade, you will be admitted into year two in UNILAG. or You do one year foundation programme that will give you opportunity to start from year two. or You write another JAMB. But if you are relying on change of institution,I will advise you to drop the idea.I know the system very well and I know it is not possible again. If anyone is ready to assist you as regards this,I would suggest you drop my phone number for the person as your uncle, brother or cousin, then I will know how to handle the person.Beware of scammers, please.Goodluck |
I wore my wedding ring for close to 3 years before it was taken at gun point. At present , I do not see myself spending fortune to obtain another one. For some months my wife complained about my not wearing the ring and I would tell her to choose between the wedding ring and the money for house keep. With time she has learnt to adapt. What is in a ring when I have many bills to pay.Even when I was wearing the ring,I knew some girls that would not give any hoot about the ring. They were ready to have a taste of you.To them you are responsible and mature ,and you are likely to take good care of them. |
You would need to get back to your school, informing them of your appeal status.I hope the school license has not been withdrawn,or the course is still being offered or you have not pressed for refunds from the school.Should the license of the school be withdrawn, please do not panic, you can look for another school and get a new CAS from them.In this situation,do not rush to the embassy.Just take your time and ensure you have everything in place before you go for the interview. As you have requested,I have forwarded my email to you.Good luck |
Thank Heaven,my lil sister has got the visa afterall.During the interview in early May,she and her husband(derivative) were screwed with questions, particularly questions on their relationship. But the couple were at their best to the admiration of the embassy staff.Going by the way the interview went that day,it showed clearly that KCC had initially marked them for refusal. However, the embassy staff, considering the fact that the couple were genuine, decided to schedule another interview for them to hold July. But as God would have it,the couple were called last week monday to come for an interview in any day last week. And they eventually went on wednesday. My regards to all the forum members that gave their pieces of advice. |
winning an appeal is the first stage.the second stage is that you would be called by the embassy to come for an interview. To attend the interview, you would be expected to go along with the documents you submitted during your visa application.NOTE:Please do ensure you go with current/updated documents. For example, the money in your account should still be there. So it means you will still need to print a new bank statement. Most especially get another CAS from your school, showing that you will be resuming in a latter date. Please and please do not go there with the one you submitted during the visa application.I know the resumption date on that one must have elapsed. In most cases the interview would just be formality. They may ask you 2 or 3 questions and you would then be asked to drop your documents and passport and be given an appointment to pick your passport. The interview will be conducted at the embassy ,and not the application centre where you first submitted your visa application.Ensure you study your visa application form very well (I hope you still have a photocopy of the one you submitted).Good luck. |
There is an existing thread on this.Try check it and you would be shocked with the useful information you would get.good luck |
Admission into tuition free universities in Finland,Sweden is still on.You only need to pay for your accommodation, student union fee and books. With student union card, you get most of the stuffs you need discounted. And another thing is that there is no visa red-tapism like that of UK,USA etc.You even get your work permit stress-free.And to become citizens, you do not need to leave there till eternity.Within four to five years you are already one. You can get all the information to apply on www.studera.com and www.studyinfinland.fi .If you like, you may call:Olamide 08036399578 or Sola 08036399578 .Or visit Suite U45,GATEWAY HOTEL ARCHADE,SANGO-OTA,OGUN STATE. |
yes it is .Less than average. But the score can still get a space in a community college. If the student, however, wants to retake the exam,he/she stands a better chance of getting scholarship score-With better preparation, this is possible. |
