Although the Post-jamb test is illegal(going by the act setting up JAMB),the failure of JAMB to curb exam malpractices in its exams might warrant test.In my view,the post-ume test should stay ,provided: 1.the higher institutions do not charge exorbitant fees 2.the exams are well or better organised(in the case of UNILAG where exams meant for 2pm were written around 10pm!or students who were supposed to write science based subjects ended up writing IRK,IGBO or FRENCH!)
Since the advent of the test,I have noticed that well -prepared applicants(if not disorganised by exam time or subject combination) have got it right.
If the higher institutions in Nigeria could adopt my suggestions,I think Post-UME may be in the overall interest of the brilliant ones.

If you have got the funds in your accounts,you must establish the the source or origin of the funds.(I.E government scholarship,relative or parent(s)/guardian(s),Will Bequeathed to you by your parents ).However,If you have got the money on your own,just show evidence of the work you do(i.e. Appointment Letter,Payslip if you are in a paid job or evidence of company ownership if you are the owner of your company.In this last case,do not forget to include your payslip)
As regards the accommodation,please do tell the school to arrange the accommodation for you outside the school.I know they would be willing to assist you.You do not need to pay for the accommodation before you file your visa application.Just ensure there is an evidence that an accommodation/hostel has been secured for you,whether campus based or outside.

you want to make heaven yet you do not want to die.If you think you need the result,you will need to work very hard.I am of the view that Toefl is lot easier than IELTS.During toefl,you may get assistance,but IELTS,forget it.I will advise that you put in for TOEFL.

Your sister may not go through the stress of prelime.She can obtain 'REGULARISATION" form and she will start from year one of the NCE programme.The form is not out yet.Post your email here and I would try contact you when the form is out.You should also check this thread from time to time.

@Harda4lag,pls do check Jamb office for details.But I know JAMB started selling the change of course form(card) before the release of the UTME result,but applicants did not have access to the website.

Post-jamb tests have come to stay.Get that right.I think it is time you started preparing for the test.Even with your low or high score in UTME,table can still change.May be for GOOD or otherwise.The best way to get guaranteed admission into university this year is when you study hard.More schools would go online during their tests this year.Post your questions as they relate to post-ume test here,and members would be willing to do justice to them.Good luck.

Do you really need authenticating the online result.Just include the result checker(card).I think the authority that wants you authenticate your WAEC result would find this acceptable.

According to the Tier 4 RULES,you will need to provide your sponsor's financial capability before you be granted the student visa to study in the UK.I f the sponsor(s) is/are your biological parent(s),he/she/they will need to support your visa application with his/her/their bank statement of a/c.But considering your situation,your sponsor must deposit the money in your bank a/c ,and the money must get to your a/c at least 28 days prior to the time you make your application.Be informed that the money must be in your a/c at the time you are making the application.Anything short of these are not acceptable ,

thanks very sincerely for your advice.They got married after my sister had played the DV(not after she had won),so he became a derivative after the first notification was sent.As regards playing pranks,I do not think he meant that.In fact his old international passport(one he used during his interview) bears DAYO,and not OLUWADAYO.I think he maintained that DAYO because he was aware that the embassy might still have that in its database.
Their interview date is around May,and they have done the medicals in the name OLUWADAYO because that is what he has on his E-PASSPORT.I think writing to KCC to update his record might alter their interview date,or what do you feel?

Hi forum.My lil sister  is a winner of DV 2010 and her husband is a derivative.Her derivative(spouse) bears ADEDAYO JONATHAN OLUWADAYO(not real name) on his birth certificate and some other documents.But in the first notification letter sent to them by KCC,the spouse shortened OLUWADAYO to DAYO (i.e. ADEDAYO JONATHAN DAYO).My sister is restive and she has sought my professional advice on this.As a professional in the field,I suggested  to them that the spouse should do 'to whom it may concern' in the national newspaper and back it up with an affidavit .However,they were of the opinion that he should do another e-passport. I prefer my advice to theirs because of the following reasons  1. For him to obtain a new e-passport,he will need to travel from Lagos to  Abuja to do it.Two,since all his academic documents bear OLUWADAYO JONATHAN ADEDAYO,obtaining a new passport may be an exercise in futility.3.The spouse has been a past winner of the DV programme,so the embassy will have his database.I hope I am in order.Or what do you feel?

LASU admission has always been based on post-ume test(75%) and O'level (25%).But prerequisite for you to sit for the post-ume test is the minimum of 200 in UME.So,there is nothing new about this.Did the VC say an applicant can write lasu post-ume test with any(or less than 200) score in jamb?

Half knowledge is dangerous.You should always adjudicate on what you are knowledgeable about.You claimed with less than 5k,one can get Malaysia student visa .Please I want you to answer this question.Would the Malaysian institution process your student pass free?or with 5k?

what i mean is that Cambridge does not offer English at the A level but you can get it at the AS(SUBSIDIARY LEVEL).However, you can get Communication Skills/Use of English in IJMB

which 'A' level are you talking about?Cambridge or IJMB?Subjects such as commerce or English are not offered.They have something like bus mgt,political studies and literature in English.If you want to study,for example,business admin,you can choose from combination such as bus mgt,econs,sociology,accounting.

I concur with the earlier posters that maintained that the parent's account could be used, Even if the fund is deposited in your a/c,you will still need to show evidence of the source of the fund, (i.e. your father's job,payslip,letter of appointment,letter of introduction from company,registration of incorporation,depending on your situation).In my view,the money being in your parent's a/c will not have a negative effect on your application.However,if the person is not your biological parent(may be a brother/sis in your area,a politician that you have shown loyalty to and wants to reward you by sponsoring your education, ),ensure that the money is placed in your personal a/c and the sponsor should write a supporting letter in addition.Note:company's(limited liability) account should be supported with a company's resolution allowing your parent/sponsor to have an access to the account.You know a limited liability company is a legal entity in view of the law(even if your parent/sponsor is the founder,MD or/and CHAIRMAN , )A number of visa applications have refused because of this reason.BON CHANCE

you may not need to wait until result is out.when did she make her application?if not a long time ago,you may try to check 'edit' and try to follow the instruction there.However if you are unable to edit,it means the grace days to edit have elapsed and then you will need to wait until the result is out.you may post your further question and i will be willing to assist you.

Were the embassies of the countries you once visited aware that you applied to the UK embassy with another passport before you were granted visas?Did you overstay during your previous visits abroad?Did you have any affidavit to support your current status?And did you swear to the affidavit before your first visit outside Nigeria or after , ?If you can do justice to these questions,I am of the opinion that forum members will be able to make meaningful contributions as regards your case.
