Start your own business. If you can survive 4-5 months without getting paid, you can as well start working for your self doing the same business that boss employed you to do and do it better.
RomanceRe: He Approached Me And Asked For My 2go User Name by elderly: 8:23am On Jan 16, 2015
skywalker888:
Yesterday evening when I was returning from a church service a tall fair guy approached me, he looked confident and relaxed, he was a smooth talker and didn't stammer to say any word he said the usually things and after telling me his name he inquired mine I told him he said I had a beautiful name and all that I was starting to like him until he asked for my no. I gave him he didn't stop there he asked if I was on 2go, I was like who tha hell uses 2go this days(in my mind) then he brought out an s5 from his pocket logged in his 2go and inquire my user name,
I smiled and told him that all his mate are using bbm and he's still on 2go? After then he felt embarrassed and speechless. I had to excuse my self and left him.
The funniest thing is that he never called grin
"The funniest thing is that he never called "
Were you expecting his call after the embarrassment or display of superiority / arrogance?
Nairaland GeneralRe: Concerning Our Catastrophic Loss Of Your Valuable Data (comment Version) by elderly:
Seun never saw this coming. He didnt even have a clear understanding of how his backup was being managed.

Again, this shows lack of Business Continuity plans ( BCP). Web Security should be taken seriously and many companies are going to experience this in the near future especially, websites that have a lot of traffic considering that Nigerian webmaster do not have adequate knowledge about web security and best practices

My advise to Seun and other Webmaster is take security seriously not be overconfident. Review your BCP plans, schedule penetration test from time to time and be updated in the world of security.

You have a responsibility to secure people's data that have been entrusted to you.

TV/MoviesThe-netflix-of-nigeria - Iroko TV by elderly(op): 10:23pm On Apr 05, 2013
He was just a poor kid from London, but Jason Njoku has masterminded the African equivalent of Netflix.

Four years ago, Jason Njoku sat down with his old friend Bastian Gotter and told him about an investment opportunity in Nigeria, a precious resource that was sitting there, just waiting to be exploited: movies. Despite their crude quality and cruder distribution system, Nigerian films are wildly popular in Africa, yet they are dirt cheap to acquire and distribute. Njoku proposed buying the rights and streaming the films online. He only needed some money to get started. "I was thinking, This sounds like one of those emails," Gotter says--the kind from a princeling who promises you easy riches as soon as you give him your bank account number.

CareerWhat Extremely Successful People Were Doing At Age 25 by elderly(op): 12:14am On Mar 28, 2013
Some people know what they want to do from an early age and focus on it relentlessly.
Others reinvent themselves, changing careers and industries until they find something that works.
Billionaire Mark Cuban struggled when he first started, writing in "How To Win At The Sport Of Business" that "when I got to Dallas, I was struggling — sleeping on the floor with six guys in a three-bedroom apartment."
As a reminder that the path to success is not always linear, we've highlighted what Richard Branson, Arianna Huffington, and 17 other fascinating and successful people were doing at age 25.

I have noticed that even when you try to correct the situation an event occurs that makes it repeat itself.

It does not mean that it is going to occur every day of that week but twices or three times that week.
Nairaland GeneralAnything Goes Wrong Monday Morning Every Goes Wrong Throughout The Week by elderly(op): 12:05pm On Aug 06, 2010
It is often believed that anything that happen monday morning is a reflection of how your week will look like. You are late on morning chances are you probably will be late through out the week. Someone said he tries as much as possible to avoid spend money early monday morning cos he noticed through out the week he finds himself sending.

@ elderly
let me explain to you what you need
1. you need a good internet connction
2. you need a p2p software(plenty online but to broadcast you use sopcast or tvu)
3. you need VGA to S-Video,HDMI and HDTV adapter(depends on your tv)
you connect the vga adapter to to your computer/laptop and your tv,
register with tvu or sopcast,
fllow the prompt on broadcasting and yopu are set
whats all these talk abot infrastructure.
get on tvu and i broadcast FOX SOCCER CHANNEL O on there
it only cost you about $100 and you are set
technology does not have to be big before it superb
do you knw how much money Nigrian local cannels will make having their programs here cateering to Nigerians?
have it on comcast even if you do not want to stream
I might just wait till when i come to naija and set it uup myself and have someone look over it
You aready have someone who provided you with all you needed. You dont have to worry about any thing. In nigeria the internet connnection is pretty slow. you need good upload speed isn't that supposed to be part of infrastructure that word is a "tech" term. Your kind of streaming is "home based " you dont worry about any thing.

That is why most pple started and they are out after some few years cos it is more that just hooking up vga and internet together especially when you want to make money from it.
TV/MoviesRe: Is It Possible To Watch Nigerian Tv Online? by elderly: 1:20am On Jul 16, 2010
I 've watched AIT and NTA online via www.watchnta.com and www.watchait.com. but they are no more. a couple of pple tried it and are no more. it is more than what pple anticipated. You got to have good infrastruture and technical expertise. Revenue generation should not be overlooked you want to remain online.

Some of these online stations refered to, have staffs who experts i.e those in charge of adverts, traffic, web developers, server administrators, and others. some even have accountants.

Who in nigeria is ready for internet streaming?
