I think phone reviews are subjective.
People's expectations differ so I wouldn't take someone's review/criticism hook, line and sinker.

You can turn off MIUI optimization...but I think if you do that, you may not get updates..

The buyers are not kids. Most if not all, have done their research. We have a lot of people who ask questions here before placing their orders.
Even if the person is not on this thread, if such person can come across Xiaomi and even go ahead to order it, then the person must have done some basic research.
