Please,I have a question about this new policy that will take effect by January,2024. Does it apply only to ppl that want to apply and bring in their dependants by January, or does it also affect people that are in UK already but yet to bring in their dependants? I want to be clear on this.

Good day everyone.

I would like to ask for a friend about TB test;

He did his TB test January at IOM to apply for his student's Visa. Results showed he had an abnormal chest x-ray as something was discovered in his lungs. He was asked to do sputum test which would take weeks for results to be out, but he refused saying he has no TB and that doing the test would cause delay in submitting his visa application and could cause him to loose the school's sponsorship. To cut the story short, he was given his certificate after serious plea but was advised to carry out further examination on his own to check what could be causing the abnormalty in the X-ray. Unfortunately his Visa was denied.

On carrying out further checks, my guy did another x-ray which came out as abnormal again but his doctor said it was nothing to worry about that all lungs can not be thesame and that he should go and carry out blood test as he said he (my friend) said he couldn't produce sputum. The blood test result came out negative.

He's now preparing to reapply for his visa as he was able to defer his admission till September.

Bosses, any suggestion on how he can get his TB certificate without being asked to do sputum test since his personal checks revealed that he has no TB? Also, is the blood test result tenable or presentable? Is it acceptable in TB test centres to proove he doesn't have TB?

Sorry to bore you with the long stories. I'd appreciate your suggestions so that I can advise him accordingly. Thank you.

MA is the priority, not the dependent. So long she did not get any NSF mail from UKVI, then there is nothing to worry about. All is well!

Good morning
Is there anyone that did biometrics on 31st March(Friday),and has gotten decision. I did a paid call but my dependant application is still awaiting decision,I told her to remain calm but she is worried, simply because some people that did biometrics on April 3rd(Monday)has been decided.

I was told to send more proof of relationship 21st of March 2023 and i did immediately
I got a mail from TlS center ikeja to come and pick up my passport yesterday 30/3/2023

Oh initially , I submitted wedding certificate, wedding pictures then suddenly last week tuesday they sent me these their message saying they need more proof as i have only submited wedding certificate , i was confused cus i actually submitted wedding certificate, change of name , newspaper, wedding pictures

Same as me , i did my biometric for a dependant visa on the 15th of March , i keep checking and tracking ( its still at (Application received by DMC) , i received a mail last week tuesday to send additional proof of relationship to my husband , i did immediately , but i keep checking and tracking , its still at ( Application received by DMC)

Even if the new passport was not accepted during the biometric she can still get the visa issued on the old passport but she has to carry the two passports when traveling

Passport will expire June 13,that's about 3months. PoF matured today.

Good morning,justwise and other gurus, Is it possible for my wife to use her about-to-expire passport to apply for visa online, and go for biometrics with a new passport. Her passport is not yet ready, but am hopeful that it will be ready before she go for biometrics.Hope the different passport numbers will not be an issue.Can she submit the new passport for biometrics? You can travel with that passport and renew it in the UK

I am in a similar dilemma, am travelling this morning(14th March 2023) to the UK with a passport that will be expiring in 2 months and 28 days, fingers crossed, what was your traveling experience like?

I was not the one involved, it happened to a friend of mine,so I thought of sharing here so I can give her feedback because she is really down. She submitted necessary documents,am sure her PoF will be between 4&5m

The ECO has requested for the evidence of maintenance for herself and her spouse for those dates to ensure the funds were not recycled and that the POF were not fake arrangements made these days


We will keep seeing more of these request to tackle POF fake arrangements, borrowed funds or as people call it "run POF"

She should provide the documents requested or sit back and wait for a refusal
