If you want to go by the structure and the financial gain, you might end up frustrated, but then if your source of happiness /motivation in the carrier is beyond the money/fine selfies with white light and stuffs, and let say probably on how many lives you've touched, you will not only enjoy the profession but also find it attractive.Oyinbo professors dey leave Harvard with all the gadgets to do operation in a local Clinic and are always very happy to do so.You see what you wanna see.Goodluck.

Politics / Re: Buhari Goes On 10Day Vacation To London To Rest, Get Treatment For Ear Infection by elpatch(m): 6:37am On Jun 06, 2016
The worst of General Hospital in Nigeria will conveniently handle Recurrent Ear Infection except if the presidency doesn't have an understanding of the President's diagnosis. Meniere's Disease is not an infectious process, just accumulation of fluid in the middle ear which can cause Deafness, noisy sound in the ear and giddiness, this again can be managed by our ENT surgeons very well
Let's just say PMB has no faith in our Health Sector and there is no miracle that will be done by the London surgeon cos it has no cure tho manageable.

Thanks so much for this information bro. You don't know how helpful it is. Someone is trying to scam me into giving money for the person's treatment in this hospital, saying they've given the bill already there and has received the first part of the treatment around the first week of May there.
you're welcome.I hope say I never burst person bubbles....

Please brother I need some answers. Are you saying the Lautech teaching hospital Oshogbo has been strike since and haven't resumed at any time for the past eight months?Heard from someone they resumed around late April to early May. Also, please have the doctors there been working and attending to patients all this while, or they've been on full strike since for the past eight months too? I'll be very glad if you can provide me this information. Thanks.
......The Resident Doctors have been on strike since last year September, the consultants later joined around November thereabout.just last week the consultants called of their strike but the Resident Doctors are still on strike till now with no salaries ever since and no hope in sight....

Welcome to the world of "deaf and dumb" governance....Mine institution has been on strike for upward of eight months, a teaching hospital for that matter and my Gov,Aregbesola is not perturbed about the exponential increase in death rate in the state.BTW,my institution is Lautech Teaching Hospital Osogbo.

Plus who will train the Graduate Nurses during the internship period? The RNs who perhaps not so cool about the "come-back" rise of the GNs? Plus how many hospital can boast of enough senior GNs that will train the junior ones during their internship? All these must be sorted out.

Then when u don't know @G1 Gbolahan you ask questions like someone who want to know.why would you say that docs see themselves above other workforce when you ve allowed undue sentiment to cloud you sight.....Now that is idiocy.
Health / Re: Osun Doctors Protesting Over Unpaid Salaries..pictures...16/02/2016 by elpatch(m): 9:15pm On Feb 16, 2016
Freedom of speech and opinion is a fundamental right of all,and in situations like what is obtainable in the state of Osun, there will always be two sides to the coin. But what I found irritating and repugnant is when Youths who are supposed/expected to be the custodian of information atleast giving the flexibility of internet, come to an open forum to expose their crass idiocy and ignorance to be modest like what @G1Gbolahan is doing either because he feeds from the crumbs off the politicians table or completely low or just tuning base on the piper's fee.
I don't dignify idiocy with a reply but for NLders who are genuinely in search of info and for fair opinion to be made,I will like to make this to be known and to further satisfy the appetite of the Govt apologist:
1)NMA is an umbrella body for all the medical and dental practitioners regardless of their affliate.
2)NMA is not a member of NLC and as such whatever agreement the Govt claimed he had with NLC is not binding on NMA.
3)NMA is aware of the economic crunch in the nation coupled with financial indiscretion of the Aregbesola 's administration and willing to help provided the Govt keeps her end of the deal.
4)On no account did the Govt shift any ground on the ongoing strike.
5)For the other workers in the state already on fractionized salaries, the Govt assumed that the whole salaries as being paid and not ready to pay the shortfall based on the purported agreement which NMA was never part of.
6) That for NMA to collect part payment, A concrete agreement with the Govt sealed will be made stating when the arrears will be paid which the Government refused to assent to.
7)That the state Govt imposed 100% tax on already fractionized salaries.
cool That at the moment,a doc earns less than 100k in a month.
9)That at the moment a doc in Osun earns one quartre of what his contemporaries elsewhere are earning and he is paying two times their tax.
So for Crumb-hustlers like @G1Gbolahan to come to an open forum like this to show his ignorance just shows how non-reassuring the future is for some youth. And next time you want to eat those crumbs always make sure you have some antidotes for ORAL DIARRHOEA.

This just doesn't make any sense, how on earth will you owe those that the community entrust their health with for months and still want the best from them/threatened them with SACK.
How can you not pay salaries and insist on building airport in a state where people can hardly afford Transport fare to Lagos....It is just silly and the house of assembly guys are nothing but puppets.
Abeg make dem move this to the front page.

Please ask Aregbesola what he did with the first bailout that was specifically meant for paying outstanding salaries?as we speak he has rendered civil service useless by paying the junior staffs full salaries and level 8 and above half salaries thereby making some of the junior staff to earn more than the senior staff.as we speak doctors have been on strike for more than 4months because they refused to b paid half-salary.And by my knowledge of simple arithmetic, the bailout provided for him which was about 35billion would have conveniently pay the workers for a year but what do we get? Nothing. Like someone has previously said, even if they are bailed out 20times some of them will still be irresponsible, example is Aregbesola followed by Rochas and others.....Awon oloshi gbogbo.

Which Stupid Rauf is paying, the good for nothing butchered the workers salary, paying far less than 50% of their salaries without any hope of getting the shortfall. The said October stipends is yet to be paid to some civil servant. The state is so down that he is planning on sacking all the doctors in the state if they didn't call off their ongoing industrial action they embarked upon to protest abysmal tax, half salaries and no salaries regime of the illiterate in power. And may I say a word of prayer to the idiot supporting Aregbesola:That at the point of their need may they meet somebody like Aregbesola and may they continue to have a boss like Aregbesola.

@Aresa,I am from Osun State, you've posted a lot of pictures to back Mr Governor but I will like to tell you that despite all(with most being uncompleted),he missed perhaps the most important area which is Human capital, the workforce has been rendered psychosocially traumatised and if you measure the disability adjusted life year(DALY) of the Osun workers, you will realise that some of them have expended more than 50years of their lives in the past 3years.You can treat your workers like this and expect them to see any good in you.
