Kushites:
Dude, NUMEROUS investments are taking place all over Nigeria, including from Indians, Chinese, Brazilians, even Russians.

You will see them concentrated in Export Processing Zones (EPZs), without media fanfare.

Go to Ogun state and see what is happening.

Investors are POURING INTO Nigeria.

You better wake up.
Let him sit there and continue to cry "lamba"
Politics › Re: BREAKING: Nigeria’s Inflation Eases To 18.02% In September 2025 by ElSudani: 4:53pm On Oct 15, 2025
kettykin:
Let's be patient, let the companies release their 3rd quarter and full year results then and only then can we relax.

A double digit inflation rate is still a danger zone
This is a better take than the usual "audio reduction". We are getting somewhere. It will get to a point where the progress being made can no longer be denied.

I know you will prefer to have the government send ten thousand Naira to your account every month so you can have extra money to drink and smoke igbo. But that is not going to help the country.

The government can solve so many problems in Nigeria by simply making electricity constant for Nigerians.
The Ethiopians seems to have gotten the message by building the largest hydro electricity dam in Africa.
Heath, Education, security and unemployment will instantly begin to improve.

I think the government should do something unconventional by getting 3 highly reputable Nigerians to do what the first lady is doing for the national library.
This time the fund will be for electricity, every Nigerian rich or poor will be encouraged to donate. Financial institutions, religious institutions, everyone even foreigners who are interested.
We really need electricity to defeat poverty in Nigeria.

Blord is a typical example of Nigeria business man.

Buy something and sell it for X3 or more
That exactly is what a business is. You don't have to buy from him as you can always go somewhere else.

It must have been a lazy journalist at work , I am very sure they meant 300 million dollars ..Qatars GDP is a paltry 218 billion dollars , they would need that 300 billion dollars investment themselves 😂😂😂
218 billion dollars is paltry for a country of less than 3 million people?

Because you are not ready to be asked serious questions that are intellectually challenging. You prefer the usual "brown envelope" journalists that will be excessively deferntial to you and only ask questions designed to massage your ego.
It is one thing to ask serious and intellectually challenging questions it is another thing to act like a motor park tout. Asking intellectually challenging questions is not what Rufai is doing.
Arise is a business and like all businesses you have the category of people you cater to.
Rufai is not entirely useless, there's a section of Nigerians who are excited by freak shows and that is why they have him there.

You are sounding like those Pharisees that demanded for Jesus to be crucified. Guess their reason amd accusation?

"He called himself the king of the Jews"

Release the thief and crucify Jesus, how dare he call.himself a king
Very wrong comparison. What Kanu did was his own choice, I didn't lie against him in any way. Left to me I will set him free on humanitarian ground but who will get justice for the victims of his crimes like those killed on his orders?
Who will get justice for people like Joe Igbokwe whose house was burnt down in Anambra?
Let's face it, Kanu is a dangerous man, though unfortunately there are still many like him in Nigeria who are roaming free.

God is a merciful being - He will be fair to us all. BTW, President Trump promoting God in America and enforcing godly rules is more important than 1000 African churches screaming the name of Jesus every Sunday.
Can you please tell us what these Godly rules are?

On what exactly will he invite you for interview? constituting nuisance on nairaland?
Is that going to be the interview topic?

If they arrest this guy again now they go say Nigeria is finished

He is stroking ego of the ibos and they think he has their interest at heart
The government should not bother arresting him. They should go after the organizations sponsoring his madness. Today it's revolution now, tomorrow it's free Nnamdi Kanu. On the surface it looks like he is doing so for good of the society but in reality that is his job. It is not ultruism, he must do it to get paid.

All these are mere speculations and hear say , Mc oluomo once threatened to attack any igbo that doesn't vote APC in Lagos, the Obama pf Lagos vowed to drown igbos in Lagos and these people are still walking around free
Threatening is one thing, actually killing 30 people to bury a criminal terrorist is another level of savagery.
Don't try to insult us by Saying Nnamdi Kanu was not violent.
His audio messages during the End Sars pointing out people to be attacked and properties to be burnt down are still there. Non violent indeed.

Any body can do video and request for money to buy arms, thos doesn't make him an arms smuggler, a pastor in redeemed Christian church of God once vowed to invoke the gods of Lagos against the Igbo race, the government of Lagos never accused her of violence, the rccg church never accused her or Satanism or paganism or even violence, how on earth is holding a meeting and requesting for arms now The violence.
Except some people actually responded and gave him money to fund the activities of people like Ikonso. The 200 human heads Nnamdi Kanu requested to be buried with him should be considered as what?
The problem with many of you is that you think we all suffer from amnesia.
Non violent my foot.

Politics › Re: Hundreds Of Ekiti Residents Storm Abuja For Historic Protest Against Corruption by ElSudani: 2:37pm On Oct 13, 2025

Years ago,I accompanied my friend and his siblings to spend vacation in their town in Ekiti. It was one of the best holidays I had as a
kid.
We ate to our fill in foods and fruits, not a day goes by without eating pounded yam that sometimes got supported with fresh palm wine.
It was a different story nine years ago that I visited again.Though i saw more tarred roads than any other state that i had visited then, but I no longer see the widespread corn and yam barn, while the daily sound of pestle pounding that was part of my experience no longer exist. But I will forever cherish and hold on to the beautiful memories
Thanks for sharing your experiences in Ekiti. Ekiti folks are friendly, proud and hardworking.

The government is now tired of holding him, they have resorted to using government agents to stage protests. But what sane Government will sign peace pact with boko haram and fulani terrorists but decide to hold a non violent activist in custody.

I just feel Nigerian security agents and forces should under go a psychological check. It doesn't make sense . Even imbeciles will not release violent snakes and scorpions and hold on to a dog or parrot because it barks
How is he non violent? His videos in the US begging for money to buy arms are still probably there.

Ekiti should simply return to what they know how to do, agriculture. Forget airports and build massive mechanized farms. This will in turn encourage small, medium and large scale agro processing industries.

Lack of opportunities and hunger is the main problem.

Politics › Re: Senator Oluremi Tinubu Visits Qatar National Library by ElSudani: 8:40am On Oct 12, 2025
Richtaiwo:
Besides what we know as repository of knowledge and easy reference, is there any other thing about library? Why is our first lady obsessed with library?

I think madam should concentrate on women and children. Those categories of Nigerians need a lot of attention and assistance, especially the extremely poor and frail looking ones. Leave library matter for education and associated ministries.
Why do you have governors? There are people elected to look after women and children in your state. If she wants to help in building the National library good for her. But that is not her responsibility either.
Politics › Re: Umahi Fires Back At Makinde Over Lagos-calabar Highway Cos by ElSudani: 7:26am On Oct 12, 2025
shortgun:
Having a degree in mechanical engineering doesn’t automatically make one an authority on civil works or project management they’re completely different fields. Makinde was speaking from the standpoint of governance and transparency.
Yes, terrain differences affect cost, but that’s exactly why public officials must disclose the breakdown instead of hiding behind technicalities. Umahi might be experienced, but his refusal to provide detailed figures fuels suspicion, not professionalism. Transparency in public projects isn’t optional.
You can’t justify secrecy just because the engineering is complex.
The extension was announced about a week before Rufai was asking for the cost per kilometer. How is the minister even supposed to know when cost analysis hasn't been carried out on the new extension?

Omihanifa:
The matter is somehow complicated. If going by what I just read here is true, then the okoya family need to pay the 250k dolls and avoid all these drama.

On the flip side again it could be that razak okoya was not aware of the deal that transpired between his wife and the senator.
Not being aware is not going to help in court. They should pay what is owed or make a payment agreement and bring the case to a close.
