DAramis:
Is there any website or book which happens to be a compendium of history that you know off and where I can download such?

When I was still in my school, there is this book(s) that looks like a compendium of classical works of 16th to 20th centuries ( I think). it is in volumes. I don't know the name, otherwise, I would have searched for it and download it or even buy the hard copy. It has some works like dantes hell, odessy etc.
I'm still looking for book called The men and the nation. Best world history book ever.
Education › Re: 8 Foods To Never Eat Before Bedtime by ElValiente(m): 9:52am On Oct 04, 2020
ghettokid1:
Hunger before bedtime is common esp. when you are used to staying up late. The craving to eat something before going to bed makes a person consume anything that is available. Bedtime hunger is not wrong, but there certainly are foods that shouldn't be consumed before going to sleep as they can create health issues.
.
Avoid these 8 foods before going to bed.
.
Thank God no swallow. My doctor ehn grin grin. If no be swallow no be food.

Education › Re: I Graduated With A 2.2, How Do I Become A University Lecturer? by ElValiente(m): 7:39pm On Oct 02, 2020
IamDavid:
Hi people, I just graduated with a 2.2 in one of the sciences. (CGPA 3.3). I admit that was due to my carelessness. Recently, I have this strong ambition to become a university lecturer and rise to the peak of my career.

Now, these are my concerns. What are the chances of getting a lecturing job (after I might have gotten my PhD) considering the 2.2 Bsc result? Or it
doesn't matter once there are higher qualifications?

Is it worthwhile to sit for JAMB again and start all afresh? I'm still in my mid twenties and the drive is high. I know I can do it, but is it necessary / worth it?

Business › Re: Man Gave A Groundnut Seller N50k For Telling Him To Taste His Groundnut by ElValiente(m): 12:47pm On Oct 02, 2020
Nelly4you:
Sometimes, those who sell things by the roadsides appear to be very rude, ill-mannered and uncultured. When a customer notices this, it annoys the customer and some might even stylishly leave the seller to buy from another customer. On the other hand, there are some other petty traders and hawkers who are extremely well-mannered, friendly, and rewardable.

Today, a man named Mr. Ijiomah Chinedu Marksman took to his social media page, Facebook precisely to share his experience with a groundnut seller. This man said he was driving across the streets while leaving for work when he came across a young boy who sells groundnut.

According to what Mr. Chinedu made public on Facebook, the young boy who sells groundnut told him to please purchase from his product. Mr. Chinedu said he immediately felt like testing how cultured or well trained the boy is. So, he told him he isn't interested in buying his groundnut. Instead of being angry over what Mr. Chinedu said like some other hawkers, the groundnut seller quickly replied by telling him to taste his groundnut so he'd buy when next he passes by. The boy's exact statement goes that:

"Oga, take this one as testing, next time you buy na."

For saying this, Mr. Ijiomah Chinedu felt really impressed about the boy and took to rewarding him for being a credible street boy. He however gave the boy a fifty thousand naira cash for being well-mannered.

Having seen this, what do you all feel about the man who rewarded the boy? If you were in his shoes, what would you have done for the young groundnut seller?

Also, have you ever had a good or bad encounter with any hawker which you can share here? If yes, share and let's learn.
