Mujtahida:
They are arguing it ooo. They say it can never happen. That once you are declared fit it means you are absolutely fit. One moniker even went as far as saying Rohr must be an idiot, a fool, a stupid man to play a possibly not fully fit Ebuehi.

Thank you for reminding me of the bandage on Zidane's knee. I vividly recall.

Even our own Keshi played matches with injury not to talk of fitness. Oliseh came from hospital to play in our Afcon match in 2000 against Senegal.

These things happen regularly.

In Ebuehi's case though Rohr should be blamed cos it was just a friendly and Aina was on the bench.
Boss to kill d argument off,d best striker player ever Ronaldo de Lima played thru pain barrier through out d competition in Korea/Japan 2002,despite playing with injury, he came out tops in d goal scoring chart with 9goals

He was even interviewed later DT he purposely had d hair cut to distract other opponents from d injury crisis he had so as not to b victimize cool

Mujtahida:
I tell them that players play matches even when they lack full fitness. They say it's impossible but Zidane and Beckham were not fully fit and they both played in the 2002 WC for their respective teams and underperformed.
Ehn na,Boss Mujtahida, are some monikers arguing it?there re several players who played with pains barrier(injections) na,so many set,but d d one we can remember vividly was zidane,he played the 3 matches in Korea/Japan 2002 with obvious bandage on his leg,

Agreed.

What I am saying is not automatic selection but testing and assessment and let the best players come in.

What could be more objective than that.

I remember certain Roger Miller a true old man over forty that became the toast of the 1990 World cup.

But players we are talking about are putting in consistent performances in top clubs not backwater clubs and leagues.

to be fair, the call for Dessers, did not come because of one match.

It has been on since the boy declared and it is justified as far as I'm concerned. It is not a pull a rabbit out of the hat call

Just one match!

The basis for call up is not sentiment.

But consistent top quality performances in your club the better the league and better the club the more valid your claim for invitation.

In all honesty the reason we still have KC and Musa in the team is we simply have very few quality strikers. Otherwise both of them by club form would simply be dropped.

Sir there is one thing we should get here regards eagles invitation, any Nigerian playing competitive football regardless of his age has every right to eagles if Rohr extend invitation to him.

If anyone is suggesting Austin Ejide,Aiyenugba or Enyeama, good cos they are still active but left for Rohr to decide as a coach.

If Rohr believe it's Uzoho good for the team and if he believe there is need to call Ejide and Aiyenugba even Enyeama all well and good, what matter most is our performance.

Sir are you saying we are going to WC to build for future cos am hearing this tone often on this thread, some are even saying our performance doesn't matter and Rohr should be given life contract.

I think this is our sixth WC attempts and i will not deceive you Nigerians are expecting clear cut performance from eagles, anything short of this is not acceptable, forget the team is for the future slogans.

Truly we have a very young squad that will give us a good platform for 2022 WC but not an excuse for poor performance at WC.

I remember Senegal went to 2002 WC with relatively young team and reached quarter final even defeated France the defending champion. So we can do it too cos the talents are abound.

I think the team is evolving and i know Rohr as a season coach will do thorough appraiser of the friendlies matches played so far to address the grey area for better performance.
I don't knw what we re building, we av been building since d days of chukwu-shuaibu-keshi-and u still want us to hide under d disguise of building, are we building a NIGERIAN UNIVERSITY grin grin,dt is always under construction?

Even d German,he used as an example got to d semi -final of 2006 edition. Fans re expecting much from dis team.we re tired of building, even d captain said it few months back during his interview dt,its high time dey gave a good account of demselves in dis world cup

Another thing that was obvious to me was that Rohr was testing out different strategies... Against Poland, we were pressing.. Against Serbia we were not. Double pivot vs single pivot...etc...
Boss tbaba1234.. We all knw u love super eagles, but at dis junction we don't av to sugarcoat d truth

We didn't press Poland at all,dey had d better ball movement, if not for vicmo penalty, we only had one shot on target, wc was Ighalo's header...d team was poor generally,no link up play BTW d midfield and attack,d only positive of dt match was ekong and balogun been able to keep lewandoski at bay, even though he had some clear cut chances to bury d game if not for d bar and uzoho save

Serbia exposed us big time, we were disorganized from d back to midfield to attack,we couldn't string up to three to five passes together, loosing possession at will,d midfielders come into suspect in dis aspect

D attack was blunt since it was spear headed by a MYOPIC,BEREFT MUSA,to make it worst,d midfield didn't supply him any pass.ighalo came in d second half, tried his best and just one shot on target against Serb and dats all

The truth is if d TECHNICAL CREW fails to correct d obvious lapses we av in d team judging from d two games,we re going to struggle at d world cup,to some extent we might not surpass d group stage.
