goldfish80: Kog45, everyone have their limits, even you. This is not the the first time I am having a debate with someone here. Have you seen me go personal or attack anyone's personality even in the face of provocation? I have always laughed and kept my cool. The personal attacks yesterday was something that would have looked foolish if I walked away from. Even while I was discussing football, that boy and his girlfriend took it personal. Can you imagine that brat asking my place on the food chain in comparison with my mates. A girl I can cloth and shelter asking a question she dare not ask if she met me face to face. She made that statement and not even a a single soul called her to order. It's all good anyway. Baba goldfish80..no talk say not a single soul caution oda erring monikers,no kog45 and oda monikers caution erring monikrrs into order but it seems, peeps don't heed to our call Do u expect us to carry CANE and flog dem including u b4 knowing d right thing to do ,dis is a faceless forum,so ppu act according to dier discretion, and our discretion varies anyway(we get sense pass each oda). realpoacher: You have been insulting Iheanacho many times here, and at this point I will say this is no longer funny. You might have to tone it down a bit. If you have any personal vendetta against him or his family please take it away from here.
He represents us as a country now and as such we can deservedly defend him.
At the bolded, the current cost of a Fiat Punto is Rs 7.8 Lakh which is an equivalent of $10,000
Whereas, the least cost of a Lamborghini is $200,000
Are you insuanating that the worth of Mpappe is 20x higher than Iheanacho?
Looking at their respective sign on fees this season
Mpappe from Monaco to PSG = €180M
Iheanacho from Man City to Leicester city = £25M

The criticism is just too my much, pls spare them and for saying they can't make Eagles in the future, nobody knows what future holds for him.
Did you know Nwakaeme is 28 years and just got a cap against Algeria playing in Isreali league.Mike Emenalo came from nowhere and gatecrashed into US 94 team at over 30 and funny enough he was playing non league club in Europe. Judging from d 3 matches so far,if dere would b Amy player to b considered for dis coming world cup asyde Ezenwa, is DT Guy Orji playing No5 position, DT guy is very good with his feet and so calm,DT oda EZE GUY most of us rate most in d defence department, it'd too shaky for my liking, though he has d sign of been a gud defender if his talent can b harnessed into a complete player,he has d height required for a defender |

TheSuperNerd: Kanu: Footballing Gandalf BY MUSA OKWONGA
https://www.tifofootball.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Kanu_01_040131_OFS-760x1240-c-center.jpg
There is a game of football so good that were its highlights not available on YouTube its existence would be thought implausible. At the 1996 Olympics, Brazil took an extraordinary team to the semi-finals, where they arrived having unleashed some of the most devastating attackers world football had ever seen. The only problem was that, in this semi-final, Brazil encountered Nigeria. More specifically, they encountered Nwankwo Kanu.
No, Nigeria were not a one-man team, any more than the Avengers expect Hulk to do all the work. But if Nigeria were the Avengers — with Jay-Jay Okocha as their Captain America, and Victor Ikpeba as Hawkeye – then it was definitely Kanu they called upon when they needed someone to Smash. Kanu was an unlikely Hulk, with about the only physical resemblance being that he was most dangerous when dressed in green. But that afternoon in Atlanta, he was just as devastating as an irate Bruce Banner. If you haven’t watched this match, I have to ask you what you’re still doing here. Nigeria went up against a squad containing Dida, Roberto Carlos, Aldair, Flavio Concecaio, Bebeto, Savio, Juninho, Rivaldo and Ronaldo (yes, that one), and – in a game as thrilling and gloriously bonkers as the ending of any Marvel blockbuster – they prevailed by four goals to three. They prevailed because of Kanu, who late in that game ascended to heights of heroism not seen since Samwise Gamgee clambered onto the rocks of Mount Doom. Kanu, with Nigeria trailing by three goals to two, scored twice. The first time, he rescued his country from defeat with an equaliser, flicking the ball up and volleying home on the turn in a crowded penalty area. The second time, he provided one of the most happily magical moments seen in major sport. (But enough about his celebration.)
First came the winning goal – a golden goal, and rarely has a strike been so appropriately named. Kanu chipped the ball forward, so that it would fall into Ikpeba’s path; but when it failed to reach his target and bounced back to him, Kanu chose to take matters into his own laces. Shaping one way and then swerving the other, he strode to the edge of the area before lashing a low strike across Dida and into the opposite corner. As he wheeled away, soon to be engulfed by his ecstatic team-mates, he stumbled in comical fashion, like a thirsty chicken who had just come across a bottle of vodka.
That match and its aftermath were pure Kanu – a footballer as theatrical as he was decisive. In that sense, he was similar to Ronaldinho, another player whose flair always had the most effective of end products. Kanu, like Ronaldinho, was irresistible at his peak. A single drop of the shoulder could send a goalkeeper as shrewd as Peter Schmeichel lurching the other way. On one occasion, in a UEFA Champions League match for Arsenal against Deportivo La Coruña, Kanu went through on goal and threw such a magnificent dummy that he didn’t even need to break stride or touch the ball for the poor ‘keeper to go flying past. It’s the type of nonchalance you’d expect to see from Leo Messi.
Like, say, Andres Iniesta, Kanu was an unlikely-looking football genius. Iniesta resembles a mid-career insurance salesman who took a wrong turn on the way home and wandered onto the turf at the Camp Nou. Kanu seemed thin to the point of fragility, his shirt billowing off his scarecrow frame as he ran. But that same frame hid a remarkable resilience. Kanu could have died from a heart defect, but ended up captaining his country for well over a decade and playing professional football into his late thirties. In a gloriously itinerant career, he was as much a part of legendary feats at Portsmouth as he was at Ajax.
There was always something of the wanderer about Kanu – something irrepressibly free-spirited. It wasn’t that he drifted aimlessly from club to club, rather that he sprinkled his brilliance upon each town that he touched before moving on. To borrow another Tolkien reference, he ended up as a kind of footballing Gandalf, an elderly wizard still bewildering mere mortals as he ambled through the shires. And, when his odyssey finally drew to a close, If were all the poorer to see Kanu hang up his hat.

Do you know when last this guy played in a green shirt?? Boss, d simple question is will u leave a player playing in Spain week in week out facing tough opposition, for a player in isreal,or turkey...u knw aw dis things work in Nigeria,boss.....one thing I can assure u is if he settles down well in his club, expect his name in d roster for d friendly matches in march. Dt move will automatically make him in a better position dan d likes of onyekuru(whos injured)Ahmed Musa(always not listed let Alone of been on d bench,) Anthony(Israeli league and also not yet convincing as such in gwg and to cap it all,he has d world cup exp.what he only need as stated earlier is for him to play regularly for malaga. |

komekn: Obafemi is fast strong and technically astute, what I find surprising is that it's taken this long for him to get into the team properly.
I have watched him for about 4 years and really felt by now he should have moved on. However, the politics of preference by Koeman and one other Director let's say restricted his chances.
It's sad that Ireland beat us too him, I don't know of he is still eligible for the SE but a good prospect he definitely is. Sad to who?Not us anyway Shey d guy na messi ni abi c.ronaldo |

safarigirl: exactly. The issue on ground is not really if Ezenwa or Uzoho will be in Russia, the issue is who is going as our #1.
I think that's one of the major reasons NFF has six friendlies lined up, because Rohr may have 95% of his 23-man team, but there are still questions as to who will make first team, he will need those six friendlies to test the most effective players in each position to know who to start in our opening game especially. That is why I am all for those six friendlies
PS: I would love for Alampasu to take that third goalie position, so we have
Uzoho Ezenwa Alampasu Alampasu hasn't done enuf to merit a world cup spot, from d reports I read here abt him,he hardly makes d bench let alone of playing so I feel an ajiboye or any oda good local gk can take d 3rd spot |
