Yes, FIFA notified NFF ahead not to play Shehu. Nigeria excuse was that the person in charge of the federation email was in the hospital at that time and could'nt check the email.
Oga d three points is gone …it’s a matter of time b4 it becomes official,SA self are already working with d “10points”(reality)

Na ordinary Russia some people dey fear ?
To me dis friendly is even unnecessary…we re playing against Rwanda 🇷🇼 and South Africa 🇿🇦 in sept …what lessons are we going to learn from playing against Russia 🇷🇺 instead of playing an African side dt plays similar style like d countries we would face in sept … and play it in uyo ,so dt our boiz can break dt jinx of not winning at home ..we av played 3 matches in uyo (wcq) ,all na draw

Nice interview comes across as very passionate man.

Four matches in I love the fact that under him we're creating loads of chances. Infact if we had been a bit better in our conversion rate maybe we won't work have been lamenting about the Zimbabwe draw.

The conundrum of integrating some of that AFCON JP defensive frugality into our current expansive play is the issue now but I'm optimistic we will get there.

Mark my words this team will cook in AFCON God willing.
That’s one thing I like about chelles team,we create enuf chances to bury a match unlike before when it’s only osimhen or lookman dt will labour so hard to grind out dt result..what chelle needs to do now is to work very well on d defence, and we re good to go

Liking the optimism oozing from this forum. Truth be told Nigeria should start thinking about Afcon and subsequent World Cup in 2030. This era of players don’t have the mental fortitude to pull off a miracle. When was the last time this squad came from a goal down and won the game?
We are going to the World Cup 2026 …either by topping d group or thru playoffs..we sha Dey go

Going into September WC when everyone is by God's grace fit and injury free this should be our probable line up

Nwabali

Aina Ekong/Igoh Bassey Agu

Onyeka Chrisantus

Lookman Iwobi M.Simon

Osimhen

What do you guys think?
Any line up wout ndidi is dead on arrival..by now u shld av studied some coaches when newly appointed and Dey execute deir first three matches ,u shld knw Dey av some favorites …ndidi is one of dem ..if fit he will play ,even Moses Simon,he likes d guy too ,

good formation but replace ndidi with onyedika
I feel Deres something missing about dis onyedika guy in eagles jersey…he’s not giving us dt 100 percent club performance ,more like he’s afraid to let it out ,I don’t really knw aw to explain it,but I knw he can give us more Dan what we re cin presently in eagles jersey…by now,he ought to be benching ndidi permanently but Deres something off about his performance whenever he’s introduced

Remove Ndidi and replace him with Onyeka as a dm or Onyedika. There is nothing Ndidi brings to the team right now that Onyeka or Onyedika wouldn't.
Then also, replace Onyeamachi with Agu. Agu seem more refined
Ndidi has a better passing range and can also assist Dan onyeka …onyeka with d ball on his feet is minus ➖ 1 ….hes good wout d ball

Chai, we have suffered, so this is the excuse that Chelle came up with it.
God help us.

Let us be very clear, a high pressure game is not new to the foreign pros.
We watch these guys, week in and out.

Even at that, he has up to five substitutions to make for outfield players, so what is he saying.
He can manage his team well for any high intensity game, if he is moxie enough.

This one gave him out big time.
I think I have been patient enough to gain proper discernment.

Eric Chelle should please do serious work on his knowledge of the game.

This man is trying to cook a beastly squad, I see what he's doing, and I like that he believes that he can pull it off, but the players wey I dey see... Omo.

Na against Jamaica we go see something, those guys are speedsters and only Chelle's kind of philosophy will work against a team like that, what if we play Japan, South Korea, Spain? Still this same kind of football will work, speed, running, speed, running...

But make them tell am say no be Iheanacho, Musa and Sadiq Umar go "run" am for am.
These players wey u mention so no fit play for chelles system…even the ones wey we feel say dem sabi run 🏃,gas out for second half eg onyeka

I will advise him dt if he’s doesn’t find d right personal for his style he wants the team to play ,he shld adjust and adopt a style dt will suit our players profile we have b4 its too late(Goke7 advice) cos I am still in d offing eying d job 😎

But if he can pull it off,we will be a big menace to any team in d world cos dis style of play will always create loads of problems and chance to score the ppponents. We could av killed off st yday game by 4-nil in first half if we had converted our chances

I have noticed that the few times Chelle has coached our team against Rwanda, Zimbabwe and today Ghana, our second half's have been poor. Our defense and midfield none existent. Players get tired during second half. Why?
Because our players are not yet fit for his system

His style of play is you must run with or without the ball for 90minutes aside d keeper

A team dt just had 2trainings together,u Dey expect dem make dem Dey play like Barca 🙃

I dare u to say a Nigerian senior team coached from rohr era till eguavoen era dt plays possessive football (at least string 5 / 6 passes together wout losing d ball?)
