I am not opposed to any change if it will be 4 d common good of all but whatever the CBN is proposing, it should also review issues on tackling ATM and other bank frauds across the length and breath of the country.A situation where people will loss their money, sometimes an entire life savings to bank fraud right under the nose o the banks is unacceptable. Banks as the custodian of the people's money should be held liable for any compromise of people's money under their watchful eye. The idea that we signed consent form under whatever disguise which immune the banks from being held accountable for any customer account compromised should be totally repelled. Now i have seen many pro -ATM Charges but nobody has said what should be if the ATM fails to dispense cash and a customer is debited (1) for the money not received and (2)for the ATM charge of the same money not received at the ATM. Many instances abound where such cash not dispensed are not returned yet you still be debited for such transaction.
