Romance / Taking A Relationship To A whole New Level. by email1(m): 7:41am On Oct 07, 2011
Hey Nairalanders, I have been quite passive but an active NL reader.
It goes to the ladies, and experience guys out there; what are those questions a girl likes being asked especially when you want to take your relationship to the next level? Questions she would not see as boring or bugging. Do well to drop some hints as you pass by.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Chelsea Revival Service. Prayers Needed! by email1(m): 1:00pm On Jan 06, 2011
It is coming as a big suprise that the Chelsea we all know and love is serious crisis and has lost all sense of winning. There's no winning mentality, no team spirit, no fighting spirit and the coach has lost managerial skill. I watched helplessly yesterday as we were brutally bashed.

I dont know what's wrong but i think it's time to pray so Chelsea fans and friends of Chelsea, Christians, Muslims, Pagans and all please send your prayers cos it has started.

Venue's Nairaland, on this thread. Let the prayers begin cos it is really needed.

Politics / Re: Breaking News! Protest In National Assembly by email1(m): 4:57pm On Dec 14, 2010
Kabikala:

I hope it's not the governors sponsoring this particular protest.
When the  National Assembly killed the Freedom of Infomation Bill to the annoyance of Nigerians, there was no protest.
When the legislators approved fat allowances for themselves, there was no protest.
When the National Assembly prevented the amendment of the Assets Declaration clause to allow the public access the forms submitted by our elected officials, there was no protest.
And now, the National Assembly decided to pull the rug from under the governors' feet, all hell broke loose.
Remember the governors met only yesterday. I don't believe in coincidences.
Aje ke lana, omo ku leni,

This thought have given this thread a new direction but either way they should not truncate democracy.

Thore in bank OLE's constitutency think right before casting your vote come next election.

I am not amused at all. More than 90% of the members have no surname to protect. It is only in Nigeria that people do things without minding others feeling. Thank God for the increasing awareness, for very soon, criminals will no longer make laws for us.
That's true. No name to protect at all. Do their children enjoy what their fathers do?

I thought they said that even God cannot make them change their view. So they are afraid of Nigerians.
Politics / Re: Breaking News! Protest In National Assembly by email1(m): 12:59pm On Dec 14, 2010
it took Nigerians exactly 50 years to understand that they have a voice and can speak up, that there is no reason to be afraid of those in authority. for God sake these are the people's representatives. they are still behaving like they have the power to get back to the house but they are in for a shocker.

Sometimes I feel we came into this world to play and have fun. Some people milking us dry and we can't say nothing. God love us so much, upon all the milking we are still triving.
Politics / Breaking News! Protest In National Assembly by email1(m): 10:42am On Dec 14, 2010
it is all coming down on them as Nigerians are visually angry and protesting their disgust against the anti-human members of the house of reps. anyone with more story? House, its your turn.

Culture / Languages, Tribes And Marriage by email1(m): 2:44pm On Nov 20, 2010
some folks may not agree. i stand to be corrected but Nigerian languages are going extinct. English language has taking over the whole process and nation. the era of slave trade has come and gone but its effect remains.

envy
self centered
greed
corruption and likes

now language.

if you cant speak English fluently, you are regarded as an illiterate. i kind of wonder why. if English is for communication, why must people sweat to pass waec when they can speak and communicate? why would there be questions like clause, adjective, verb and most of all oral English?

i dont know how to speak my language because my dad thinks we all must learn English and become an expect. it worked only that i am afraid about the language my kids will speak; and being that i am far away from my state, it might be difficult for me to marry from my tribe.

1. house, do you think language is not important in marriage? (especially if you cant speak like me )

2. i am thinking of going into politics in the nearest future, what would i use to convince my people? English?

3. am i tribe less?

4. what language will my kids speak? my wife's? (this is most important)

GEJ chose the best means of communication and because he is not seen to act lyk a (Nigerian) politician, this gives him a edge. I just love him.
