DOUBLE STANDARD IN KANO AND BLASPHEMY LAW NOT BACK-UP WITH QUR'AN

Is taken bribes and corruption not an insult to the personality of the Holy prophet of Islam (sa)? A government who so love the sharia law that is ever ready to sign a death sentence for blasphemy against the honours of prophet Muhammad (sa), but was allegedly cut on camera taken bribes. Yet his hands weren't cut off according to sharia law. Please, what do you called such system?

Oh! where is your faith? I guess this is double standard. Well, its not surprising why all laws seems to always favoured the rich as against the poor. My pains here is the religious coloration that was added to the blasphemous law controversy. Meanwhile, death sentence for blasphemy is not backed by the Qur'an nor the sayings and practice of the Holy prophet of Islam. I just wonder why some people in the northern Nigeria want to be more Islamical than the companions of the Holy prophet (peace be upon them all).

The holy Qur'an and the sayings and practice of the Holy prophet is the primary source and cornerstone of sharia law. Others sources are secondary to the aforementioned two sources, surprisingly, there is no single verse of the glorious Qur'an that prescribes death penalty for blasphemy. Therefore, death sentence for blasphemy is anti Qur'an, anti Islam and treat to peace.

Also, the sayings and practice of the Holy prophet (sa) shows that, the prophet was repeatedly insulted, mocked, abused, stoned, demeaned and chased away from his home town. Yet, the prophet repeated responses to all these blasphemy offences were met with forgiveness. So why are the Muslims from Kano not following the foot steps of their prophet? Abi prophet Muhammad (sa) not supposed to be an example to all Muslims?

I challenge any rightful thinking Muslims to back up their death penalty for blasphemy by a single verse of the Holy Qur'an. If this can't be found, then the blasphemous propagandist in the Kano city is anti Qur'an, anti Islam, unfounded and uncalled for. Why do people like to emphasize punishment than forgiveness unbehalf of the merciful God, are you assistant God? Remember, "Is not Allah the most just of judges?" Qur'an 95:8.

I want say without any fear or favour that, the definition of islam is not the way of life of the northern Nigerian Muslims nor the way of the Arab people. Rather the definition of Islam is contained in the light of Qur'an and the saying and practice of the Holy prophet of Islam (sa) know as Ahadeeth. All other definitions are secondary. If the way anyone or any Muslims for that matter practiced Islam contradicts the Qur'an and the prophet of Islam, then you know that is not Islam.

To be frank, there are great difference between Muslim and Islam, glory be to God I have know Islam before I know some Muslims. Kindly avail yourself the stress to read the Qur'an yourself first hand, don't allow anyone to scared you nor bamboozled you away from the truth. Luckily, everything is ready available on Google play store for you pleasure. Thank God for the era of digitalization for that simplicity and accessibility of both the meaning and commentaries of the noble Qur'an on play store for you consumption.

PDP Changed 14 National Chairmen In 17 Years

For the first time in the history of Nigeria since 1998, chairman of a political party has served his full time. With the imperfection of APC, yet Chief Oyegun has made the history of serving his full tenure without interruption or forceful ousting by the Executive or political jobbers.

I must comment the tolerant of President Buhari & APC national executives for this milestone achievements compared to the travels of party Chairmen in hands of the opposition & the president predecessors.

In the past 17 years, PDP have changed 14 national party Chairmen. In ratio to the frequent changes of the chairmen to the years of our returned to democracy, it can be conveniently say no single national chairman of PDP serve his full tenure. Obasanjo alone changed 5 national PDP chairmen in his tenure. Let me take you to the history lane.

1. First PDP chairman was: Late Dr. Alex Ekwueme served briefly 1998-1999;
2. Late Chief Solomon Lar also briefly from 1998-1999;
3. Chief Barnabas Gemede 1999-2001;
4. Chief Audu Ogbe 2001-2005, ousted at gun point:
5. Col. Ahmadu Ali 2005-2008;
6. Prince Vincent Ogbulafor 2008-2010:
7. Dr. Okwesilezi Nwodo 2010-2010;
8. Dr. Halliru Mohammed 2010-2011;
9. Kawu Baraje 2011-2014;
10. Bamanga Tukur,
11. Adamu Mu'azu,
12. Ali Modu Sharif,
13. Ahmed Makarfi,
14. And currently Uche Secondus.

Well you can see for yourself. Stability and organization is the back of success in every achievements. After Obasanjo was corrupted with power, he usurped the powers of the party's chairman by calling himself the party leader. He changed them at will & sometimes at gun point or through blackmail. He handed over same structure to his predecessors. Today look at the position of the once most powerful party in Africa. Least to say marauding.

At a point, state governors used their powers of foyer or through intimidation to influence the president to change the party chairmen or executive members as it happened between former Super Governor of Akwa Ibom Godswill Akpabio & Barrister Ahmed Gulag, that the governor influenced Jonathan to removed Gulag as PDP executive member. Alhaji Bamanga Tukur suffered same open rejection in the hands of PDP governors that forced Jonathan to changed him without options. It was rumoured too that Ahmed Mu'azu survived the mishap of Dame Patience Jonathan by Miracles.

So when principles & rules are put aside to satisfied the desire of whips & caprices, the resultant effects of such open disregard to laid rules & procedures are unimaginable catastrophe.

This is our politics in Africa, but gradually, we're maturing. South Africa is a bit above the board & Nigeria has began to follow closely. We hope this would continue. Congratulations Nigeria! Congratulations APC Nigeria & MUST thank the president for his disciplines & tolerance and APC national executive for giving Nigerians this first experience.

life2017:
Why Buhari Government Is South West Government

by life2017: 9:06pm On Jun 06

I have always maintained this Buhari Govt is south west government. South west as a region is a major Beneficiary of this Buhari government.

In terms of Appointment, south west is well represented both in numbers and relevance. Actually south west control the economic policy of this govt with Osibanjo as the head of the economic team. Minister of finance South west. The economic engine room in terms of expenditure which is works, power and housing is under South west control through Fashola. The second major source of revenue after oil which is FIRS headed by Tinubu's boy Babatunde Fowler.

In terms of infrastructure, south west got a huge share in the infrastructural expenditure on rail, road, airport etc. Lagos- Ibadan expressway , Lagos - ibadan rail huge capital cost comes to mind.

In terms of party politics, South west is well respected and relevant in APC. Tinubu wanted the chairman gone, and he is as good as gone.

In terms of federal govt specific state targeted policy/ decision, south west has benefitted through Lagos. This govt has given support to Lagos state by giving national stadium to Lagos state, by giving or allowing oshodi airport road to be managed by Lagos state. And through support for Dangote refinery and epe seaport.

Declaring June 12 democracy day is a masterstroke. And honouring Gani with the award of GCON is also a sign Buhari give high regards to south west. And also with this action, he has destroyed his most powerful critic in south west which is Obasanjo. He just silenced OBJ among the south westerners.

Even under Obasanjo, south west didn't get this level of regards and respect. Under GEJ, South west was taken for granted whether deliberately or not.

It also mean Tinubu movement from AD to AC to ACN to APC has achieved something significant.Tinubu and other ACN members have been fighting for June 12 to be named democracy day. Tinubu just achieved that. Democracy day he started in Lagos and other south west state has become National. What a great achievement!!! Tinubu will be very proud as the current face of south west politics.

And if the south east(igbo) don't play smart and matured politics, if Buhari wins 2019 which as at today is the most likely case, South west has a very high chance of taking over from him in 2023. At the end they will start shouting marginalization/betrayal all over again forgetting that politics is a game of number. You only win when u play the right game that will give u the number.
You just earn my respect for life.
