Count Dr. Jonathan Out of Malabu Bribe The allegations that former President Goodluck Jonathan received $200 million as proceeds from the Malabu Oil deal which were published on a gossip news site, Buzzfeed, and republished by a few other newspapers, is false in its entirety, and is one more in the series of fake news sponsored by those threatened by Dr. Jonathan's continuously rising profile in the international community. Common sense should have shown the purveyors of this slander that the Malabu oil deal far predated the Jonathan regime and it would only make sense for him to be bribed if he had a time machine to go back in time to when the deal was struck. The report relied on hearsay evidence from a man of questionable character who provided no substance to back up his false claim. The man quoted by the report said he 'assumed' that Dr. Jonathan would be bribed. Since when has the assumption of a crook been enough to smear the reputation of a patriot and international statesman like Dr. Goodluck Jonathan? The report also wrongly claimed that “Jonathan and Etete had known each other for years", according to Shell staff, when Jonathan served as a tutor to Etete’s children while he was a minister.” This claim is clearly ridiculous and nothing can be further from the truth. In the first place, the former President couldn’t have been a ‘tutor’ to Etete’s children without first establishing contact with the family. This is because Dr. Jonathan met Etete who served as the Petroleum Minister in Gen. Abacha’s military regime for the first time under the succeeding civilian administration, when he was already the deputy Governor of Bayelsa State. Even then, the fact remains that ex-President Jonathan has never met any of Etete’s children. Besides, Jonathan couldn’t have been anybody’s private tutor during that period, because he was already in the directorate cadre in Oil Mineral Producing Areas Development Commission, OMPADEC (now NDDC), having already left the academia, at the time Etete was a serving minister. This story, coming so soon after the fake news that Dr. Goodluck Jonathan refused British help in rescuing the Chibok Girls (a story that the British Government debunked) and that he plans to contest the 2019 elections (another lie), proves that these fallacious stories are deliberately contrived for reasons that are yet to be publicly disclosed. It is instructive that this same old fable apparently intended to rubbish Jonathan’s name locally and internationally, is being recycled with more lies added to garnish the narrative, at a time the ex-President is making efforts to resolve the issues in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). Again, let us point out for clarity and for the umpteenth time that while he was in office and now that he is out of office, former President Jonathan did not open and does not own any bank account, aircraft or real estate outside Nigeria. Anyone with contrary information is challenged to publicly publish same. Finally, Dr. Jonathan appeals to the media to report facts rather than innuendo and gossip. He asks that the media ought to remember that he signed the Freedom of Information Act into law and it is only fair to use it to investigate allegations and establish the truth. Dr. Jonathan cannot stop criminals from 'assuming', but he can and he will stop them from getting away with blatant lies. Google is Merging its Chrome OS and Android to launch a new Single Operating System Google is planning to merge its Chrome OS with Android operating system and roll out a single operating system by 2017. New Android OS Optimized for Laptops: Yes, a Single Operating system for Mobile devices, desktops, laptops and notebooks, just what Microsoft is offering to its users with Windows 10. Chrome OS is a lightweight operating system based on the Linux kernel and designed by Google to power its Chromebook Laptops and Desktops. Here's the deal: According to a recent report published by the Wall Street Journal, Google has been working for two years to merge Chrome OS and Android, and you can expect to see an early version of the 'single OS for all' as soon as next year at Google I/O event. Is Google Killing Chrome OS? NO, Google isn't Killing Chrome OS. Some have reported that Google might "kill" Chrome operating system, but it's not what the company has planned about. Also Read: Google OnHub Router actually Runs on Chrome OS Google seems to still have some dual-strategy in mind, as Hiroshi Lockheimer, the Senior VP of Chrome OS, Chromecast and Android, confirmed on twitter... Chrome OS will remain as an open source operating system that other companies can use to integrate in their desktops and laptops, and Google engineers will continue maintaining the operating system. "There's a ton of momentum for Chromebooks and we are very committed to Chrome OS. I just bought two for my kids for schoolwork!" — Hiroshi Lockheimer (@lockheimer) tweeted. The Integration of Chrome OS into Android is not unexpected… speculation has existed for years. Ever since current Google CEO Sundar Pichai became the incharge of both Android and Chrome OS in March, 2013, there has been a lot of speculation about the merging of the two operating systems. Just last year, Google also demonstrated a technology that allowed Android applications to run on Chrome OS. This move to merge both the operating system marks an effort at Google to reduce the number of independent platforms the company has to maintain. So YES, Chrome OS and Android are merging – and YES, Chrome OS will still work independently of Android. Stay tuned to our Facebook Page for latest information. /q4vuUg

A media group associated with the Nigerian militant group Boko Haram has published two images which reveal a military training camp for children in northeastern Nigeria. The organisation, al-Urwa al-Wuthaqa, shows the children dressed in dark clothing with their heads covered by garments. In one photo, the children are aiming their guns while in another they are posing with the weapons. The Long War Journal claims that both young girls and boys are present in the photos, while some are holding AK47 assault rifles, others are holding cutouts of weapons. According to Max Abrahms, professor of political science at Northwestern University and member at the Council of Foreign Relations, Boko Haram uses child soldiers in order to boost its membership numbers. “Terrorist organisations have power in numbers. The more members in the group, the greater its capability. There is a correlation between the membership size of a terrorist group and its ability to inflict bloodshed,” he said. Boko Haram refugees “Terrorist groups will often try to amass the most members as possible even if they’re young boys or girls.” Andrew Noakes, coordinator of the Nigeria Security Network, says the group are struggling to recruit fighters, having “started alienating local people across northeast Nigeria with their brutal tactics”. “To fill the gap they've turned to recruiting children and recruiting in neighbouring countries,” he says. “Boko Haram often uses its child soldiers and other forced recruits to form the first wave of an attack, before sending in the more experienced fighters to finish off operations.” Abrahms also believes that because the group has ambitions of creating an eternal caliphate, in the same vein as ISIS, it indoctrinates children in the hope that its message will be continued by the young soldiers. “[ISIS] has ambitions in building up a caliphate for eternity. I think Boko Haram shares this aspiration certainly in Nigeria and the indoctrination of youth is important not just for fielding an army against the Nigerian military, but also breeding a future generation of like-minded sympathisers.” A number of other terrorist organisations have resorted to using child soldiers to boost their numbers. ISIS has previously released videos of children training at a combat camp, where they are seen being beaten by their instructor and taught how to use a gun. Uganda’s Lord’s Resistance Army and al-Qaeda have been known to use child soldiers also. As the Nigerian presidential election on 14 February inches closer, Boko Haram have continued to wage their insurgency against Nigerian authorities in the regions that remain under a state of emergency - Yobe, Borno and Adamawa - in the country’s northeast. Hundreds of its fighters are battling government forces in Borno state’s capital, Maiduguri, while they have captured the town of Monguno, located approximately 85 miles (135km) from the embattled city. The attacks took place just a day after Nigerian President and leader of the People’s Democratic Party, Jonathan Goodluck, paid a visit to the city as he continues his campaign against leader of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) party, Muhammadu Buhari. According to the Council on Foreign Relations, the terror group killed over 10,000 people in 2014 and they have already reportedly killed over 2,000 people in the first month of 2015 following a series of mass killings in the town of Baga, in the state of Borno. http:///SzikR4

South African Government To Pay All Virgins R200 Every Month In Bid To Fight HIV Teenage Swazi girls will be paid R200 a month by King Mswati’s government if they abstain from sex. World Bank money will finance the programme that is intended to reduce HIV transmission in an impoverished country with the world’s highest HIV prevalence rate. “The government will pay girls the allowances so they will have money to purchase necessities and can turn down money offered to them for sex,” said Thabsile Dlamini, a health care worker in Manzini. The deputy prime minister’s office will administer the payouts. A pilot programme will be conducted to test the effectiveness of weaning teen girls from older “sugar daddies” who offer money in exchange for sexual favours. Details have to be worked out such as how the girls will be monitored to ensure they are not having sex. A source with the royal family denied that the financial payouts to girls to avoid sex were designed to ensure an HIV-free population of Swazi virgins who could be King Mswati’s future wives. The polygamous king has 15 wives and selects teenage girls as his new brides, often at the annual Reed Dance at which up to 70 000 girls dance semi-naked before the royal viewing box. Studies have found that among the general Swazi population girls and young women aged 18 to 24 are most at risk of becoming infected with HIV. Poverty and lack of female empowerment in the traditional society are cited as reasons for girls’ vulnerability to the sexually-transmitted diseases. The National Emergency Response Council on HIV and Aids, a government department tasked with co-ordinating Swaziland’s Aids response, has issued statements in the local media citing the need for initiatives to discourage girls from having sex because of economic need. Seventy percent of Swazis live in absolute poverty. Pubescent Swazi girls often turn to benefactors to purchase basic items like sanitary pads. The National Emergency Response Council on HIV and Aids said World Bank money had been used to adjust the behaviour of teenage girls in other African countries, although those programmes focused on the girls’ school attendance. One teenager in Manzini, Zodwa Fakudze, 16, said R200 was not sufficient to discourage girls from accepting gifts from older men to have sex. “Today’s girls need things, like airtime for our cellphones. R200 is not enough. That is how much government gives my gogo (grandmother) each month and she will never get Aids because no one over (the age of) 40 has to have sex,” she said. Another girl, Thandi Tfwala, 17, a Manzini high school pupil, noted, “A girl could get R200 for just one sex act. Government must pay more.” When told the allowance was not intended to put a price on sexual activity but to help make girls independent of the need to take gifts and thus be better able to safeguard their health, she said: “You don’t know Swazi girls. If they don’t get more money they will keep on doing what they do now, even the Christian girls. Our king will have to go to Cape Town for his brides.” Source: http://aitonline.tv/post-south_african_government_to_pay_all_virgins_r200_every_month_in_bid_to_fight_hiv
