I'm not Igbo, or Yoruba , or Hausa, and not in APC, or PDP, or LP.

My interest in the whole Ikwerre-Igbo thing started in the late 1990's after reading Elechi Amadi's 'Sunset in Biafra' (which gives one the bare bones of the whole argument' )and augumented by reading a lot of material online.(There are a lot of articles debating the matter.)

Also, it is kind of a common phenonenom all over Nigeria. There are a lot of tribes who like the Ikwerres are culutrally like the big tribe but not the same people eg The Ekiti people (who have a distinct language), numerous groups in the far North, the Ogori people , the Ika Igbos (Nzeogwu's people) and so forth.

Tis a fascinating topic.

Wike himself has denied being Igbo. There are some Ikwerre who think otherwise and identify as Igbo.
