I am just managing a garden of 1 acre with about 200 grams seed averaging 5k seedlings above in first pilot. though things are happening very fast but I am really trying my best with a team of 2 staff at the moment. the last seeds planted is now 5 days abt 2500 seeds. while the first is 2 weeks. staking preparation has started today for the first set. fertilizer has been applied on the first set. weeds are growing very fast. just noticed deers foot prints. have eaten abt 30 cukes. doing a deer spray to repel them. my biggest issue. hope am on track sir. have also applied insecticide and fungicide on the first set. will apply on the later set after the rain today.

2.2 Liter of Light
In 2002, someone thought deeply and came up with a way of getting approximately 60watts bulb without electricity. I was so impressed with his work the day I first read about it, and I have got many tasks solved with this simple idea. He is Alfredo Moser , a Brazilian mechanic and inventor. He is known for his Moser lamp.

The lamp is made of 1.5 liters of plastic soda bottles filled with water, and a bottle cap quantity of bleach is added to prevent algea developing in it. The bottle is mounted on roofs and sealed. You "gat" 60watts bulb. This technology is being used in Phillipines, Brazil, Bangladesh,Kenya, etc. Watch the video attached.

Hmmm .. the milk coated seeds were used as a trial without the use of seeds being dipped additionally in imidachloropid .IF the seeds had been treated with imidachloropid the germination would have been near perfect . The reason for treating seeds with milk was to avoid soil borne fungi .. not foliar borne fungi .. We also did try a few other organic methods like introducing viral cultures and bacterial cultures for pest and virus management . I hope you get the point .. fungal infection is different from pest or insect eating up the seeds . For basal fertiliser application you can apply before you plant the seed or if you compost manure and fertilisers then you can apply after 15 days of composting . When the seeds germinate the seedlings do not need much of fertilisers and it is perfectly right to apply fertilisers after 15 days also if the manure has composted .

hi stocklot, pls how do I get boron , potassium and calcium supplement within Lagos. can't seem to get it at ikorodu sabo market. I need it very urgent. any one in the house can also suggest. my cucumbers are two weeks old and doing great thanks to how you itemized the steps. I soaked the seeds in imidachloropid and got about 95% germination and sustained rate at two weeks. about to apply npk 15:15:15 as I type. thanks for your advice.
fluentinfor has also done great. i can understand his strong tone. only a passionate farmer can use such cos he will not like others to tread the path of failure. he is one to be followed step by step no matter his tone. as he said, no drip no farming except during the rain. tried hand wetting when I just planted the cukes as rain didn't fall then, it was messy. seeds were in the ground but did not germinate for about five days. I was afraid cos they might get cooked up in the soil due to excess heat.

hi Thomas , am happy you want to come back to the business. we need farmers to help in food production at cheaper rate. if we are all farmers it guarantees low cost of feeding for everyone. but my fear for you is the motive. u have to crave for the passion first before looking at the business side. you need to b properly trained to go into this new venture.

the Lagos and Ogun farmers meeting has been postponed. this is as a result of inadequate representation of farmers to come for the meeting as scheduled. another date will be chosen by the farmers in the house to enable proper representation.

good day. your pond size and stocking density doesn't correlate at all though don't know your fish size. and how often do you feed daily and change their water weekly. also how often do u sort your fish cos you are talking of cannibalism.
I concur with what ttalk have advised.
I don't know him but he has given you an advise consultants will charge you dearly for.
pls ttalk conclude with the dosage as i am more used to herbs.
pls update the house after three days.

how do you know that they have gathered excess fat and what is the implications of that??

you will notice excess fat when they start gasping for oxygen after little stress may be due to water change or short grading. also the freshly dead among them will decompose quickly with their belly swollen and bursting almost within a couple of hours.

my juvenile catfish are eating the hell out of my pocket...it's their second month going to these third and they are 2k in number...can you imagine 15kg bag of aqualis only last for 5days...pls is this normal or am I over feeding them??

keep feeding. but it's normal.
as temperature gets warmer fishes will easily consume and convert faster.
just try not to overfeed to avoid gathering of excess fat
