I'll like to know....does it cost to appeal a visa decision
TravelRe: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by Emmanuel360(m): 1:22pm On Dec 09, 2019
Use UPS tracking. At least you know exactly where your package(document) is currently at.

Emma sorry for whatever issue it was...

Does it take this long to get a reply from school? -----> Not sure about that!!!

If U still want 2go ahead & defer, try and send a reminder mail to your School International Office and copy your Programme Coordinator (s) as well (with reasons why you are deferrig) for them to begin the process.

Normally, you should be given a deferment form to fill and submit back to them. Schools may differ - ethically, acceptance fee shd be credited to your student account for the next school year. But others will require you to pay deferral charge to lock-down your place. Whether you pay or not pay deferral charge will depend on your school policies and conditions as regards deferral and/or withdrawal from a programme.

For fees refund, you shd be fully refunded but again like the above, schools have different conditions guiding their refund policy. But I know from the few Irish schools' policies I've gone thru, fee implications kicks in and affects the amount you are refunded once it is Seven Weeks past the start of an academic session.

Your School International Office and your Programme Coordinator are well versed in this matter. Contact them again. If you can, try calling them as well.

Best of success bro
Tanx a bunch...really appreciate this. I'm using ukaes by the way but the agent is just not saying anything at all.

Please i have a few issue i'll like someone to clear me on.

I deferred my admission early in august because I didn't forsee resolving the issue I had before September but till now I haven't gotten any reply from the school. Does it take this long to get a reply for deferment?.

I paid about 99% of my fee before I deferred the admission so I'll like to ask if it is necessary for me to seek a refund and repay or not

Normally those transactions are captured (when account is debited for the treasury bills investment). I cant speak for all banks BUT for Ecobank, the interest + amount invested for the bills is credited back to the account on maturity date.

In the Ecobank scenario, it means the balance in the account will be less by the invested amount as at the time your sponsor request for a printout - assuming you want to apply for a visa with the bank statement at that particular time (b4 bills maturity date).

It might not be a problem if you ask your sponsor to attach with his/her bank statement the Certificate of Tresury Bills Investment wch details things like - yield, maturity date, etc. In your sponsor letter of consent that can be explained with the certificate as supporting evidence.

It could also be a problem since there's a portion of visa guidelines that says - ".....funds in sponsors account should be easily accessible ....."

In my opinion (others can add their experiences), it might be safer to get a co-sponsor just in case the visa officer thinks such funds might not be readily accessible.

Just my Lil one kobo
I really appreciate this. Thank you

Guys I need your input on this.

After paying my fee from my sponsors account about 99% of it, the rest of the money in his account was put an treasury bill amounting to 4m with maturity date 12th December. So I'll like to ask, can I still use him as a sponsor or do I have to find a cosponsor.
Please note the money in treasury bill will be available to me when the the bill matures. And please note my sponsor is a pensioner with monthly pension of about 170000(sometimes more).

Input please. Let me know my next step

My certificate was requested for when I did mine. But according to him he was told to go and certify his statement of result
Dreamchaserz:
I don't understand what your "friend's" statement of result has got to do with this. I paid mine too using Form A through Firstbank and what I submitted was my admission letter, photocopy of my international passport data page and print out of a mail from my school advising bank account details.

Maybe you need to verify from your 'friend' what really transpired or tell him to join Nairaland and tell his story.

Please guyz, a friend's payment was not approved by first bank because he was using his statement of result which was what he used in getting his admission. Please which bank accept statement of result for form A

Can I use a savings account for the form A? Someone told me I'll need to open a current or domiciliary account to use the form A. I want to use gtb and I already have a saving account with them

Please for those of us headed to dbs, what platform do you suggest I use in making my acceptance payment of 500 euro

So I got admitted to dbs for MSC programme. I have my fee and I'm ready to make payment but I want to know if I should separate the fee into acceptance fee and tuition fee or just make a single payment. According to the offer letter I received the acceptance fee is part of the tuition fee and will be a deduction from the tuition fee. Those headed to dbs tell me how to proceed
