A 400 level student of the University of Ghana has allegedly committed suicide by jumping from her balcony in the early hours of Wednesday, March 8th.

According to reports by local media, the deceased identified as one Jennifer Nyarko, who was believed to be suffering from hay fever, reportedly jumped from the balcony of the Akuaffo Hall annex, Room 407 after missing lectures for several days.

Her roommate claims that she was on the phone throughout the night talking to some guy until they slept. She was spotted on the floor by a passerby, who alerted students and school authority.

She was rushed to the Legon Hospital, where she was confirmed dead.

I have seen people from other tribes buried here when they died, but when an Igbo die here they must gather and take the body home in solidarity.

Things Igbo people do together I have never seen in other tribes in Nigeria. An Hausa or Yoruba rich man would never do anything to help you, they rather be giving you 20 Naira every time they see you that is after you must greeted them tire.

A report by Sahara Reporters indicates that President Muhammadu Buhari’s return to Nigeria was put off at the last minute on Sunday, March 5 late at night.

According to the report, the president’s doctors did not certify him healthy enough to return home despite strong pressure from members of his inner circle.

The report cited unnamed presidency sources saying the desperation to bring the president back was so much that his close associates sent to London on Friday, March 3 the biggest jet in the presidential fleet, a Boeing Business Jet 737, known as “Airforce 001.”

Their plan was to ferry him into Abuja before the closure of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on Wednesday, March 9.

In that connection, the smaller presidential jet which initially flew President Buhari to the United Kingdom was returned to Abuja the same day while the bigger jet was sent to London with a fresh crew.

The return to Abuja last week of the president’s nephew, Mammam Daura, as well as one of his daughters, all heightened the political anxiety that President Buhari would return on Sunday evening.

But President Buhari’s doctors refused to give him the clean bill of health that would enable him to return.

Meanwhile, President Buhari has been making phone calls to local and world leaders while receiving treatment in London.

According to the report, this strategy is aimed at keeping politicians and the public believing that the president is fully recovered from his numerous ailments, but sources involved in Buhari’s treatment say he is far from recovered, and his return date, and therefore his return to work, remains unclear.

In an earlier report, SaharaReporters had revealed that President Buhari has prostate flares in addition to intestinal maladies that have seen him lose weight progressively and unable to eat well. Those issues are yet to be resolved.

President Buhari has been in London since January 19. The presidency had first announced that he was there for a 10-day leave. But he has since extended the leave on medical grounds.

Emerging facts from Apostle Johnson Suleman’s Omega Fire Ministry have revealed that the said Canada based singer, Stephanie Otobo, has a five-man-gang that demanded for the N500million from the famous preacher and President of the ministry.

A statement from the church media director, Emmanuel Sule, alleged that the lady who claimed that Apostle Suleman was her lover and that he promised her marriage was found to belong to a cartel comprising four male members who were identified as serial blackmailers by the police.

Stephanie, according to the church, was said to have been arrested about two weeks ago by the Inspector General of Police Intelligence and Monitoring Unit alongside one Wisdom who is said to be the gang leader.

The culprits are said to be talking to detectives at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, on their involvement in the alleged racketeering.

Lagos lawyer, Festus Keyamo, according to the church statement, backed Stephanie and her gang claiming that the lady was his client while he allegedly insisted that the Apostle pay her the said sum.

On investigation, the statement read further, it was discovered that the lawyer was sympathetic to the gang’s cause given his desperation and open aggression to force their illegal demand. In 2015, Apostle Johnson Suleman went to Canada to preach the gospel. After the event, a lady called Papa and introduced herself as Stephanie Otobo. Asked what did she want, she said she attended the Apostle’s crusade in Canada, it transformed her and she wanted to give her life to Christ.
