A retired soldier of the Nigerian Army, identified as Joseph Oloruntoju, slumped and died on Saturday after watching the Nation’s Cup qualifier between Nigeria and the Bafana Bafana of South Africa.

Oloruntoju, who was said to have retired from the army as a sergeant, reportedly left his residence at Ajipowo area of Akure and went to the Owena Army Barracks to watch the match along with his friends.

The deceased was described as an ardent lover of Nigerian football, adding that he slumped shortly after the Eagles conceded the second goal.

He was reportedly rushed to an undisclosed private hospital where he was confirmed dead.

Boko Haram have slit the throats of four Nigerian villagers in revenge for the arrest of a senior member of the jihadist group,

Ten gunmen on motorbikes stormed the northeastern Cameroonian border village of Hambagda near Gwoza, once the capital of Boko Haram’s self-announced “caliphate”, on Thursday before kidnapping six people and killing four others.

“They asked people to assemble but everyone started running towards the bush,” said local resident Usman Buba.

“They seized six people in the confusion and slaughtered four while two managed to escape.”

The attack came a day after soldiers arrested Boko Haram commander Adamu Rugurugu during a village raid.

Buba said the jihadists who attacked Hambagda on Thursday afternoon decided to slit their victims’ throats instead of shooting them to avoid attracting the attention of troops stationed in Gwoza, two kilometres (1.2 miles) away.

“The attack was evidently in reprisal for the arrest of a Boko Haram kingpin who has been terrorising the village,” Buba said.

Another resident, Dahiru Alkali, confirmed his account, adding that villagers had complained to soldiers of incessant attacks by Rugurugu and his men.

The Senator representing Kogi West in the National Assembly, Dino Melaye, has during the plenary session on Friday while questioning the Senate’s decision to keep the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission boss, Ibrahim Magu on as the acting chairman of the agency said that he may soon be arrested over his comments.

The senator who has been embroiled in series of controversies over the past months further told his colleagues during the plenary session that prisons are built for human beings and not animals.

While imploring other members of the house to be diligent and not allow favouritism or selective application of the country’s law to cloud their judgement, Dino Melaye pointed out the powers of the senate adding that the president, Muhammadu Buhari, recognizes it.

He said: “I may be arrested immediately after this programme… prison is built for people and not for animals.”


“Posterity will not forgive us when we keep silent in the face of lies and persecution.

“The persecution we went through in the first two years must not continue in the second half. Mr President in leading us in this second half you must put on your seat belt; it is dangerous to drive without a seat belt.

“Where we need to speak the truth as senators, we must speak the truth no matter whose ox is gored. We must begin to identify that there is a uniform law in the federal republic of Nigeria.

“No longer shall we allow the selective application of the law of the land. What is good for Abubakar is good for Nnamdi. Mr President, we have passed some people on the floor of this senate and those people that we have also disqualified by confirmation have been replaced by Mr President.

“That means that the president of the federal republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari recognises the powers of the senate to confirm.

“Why is Magu still in office? Mr President the truth is the truth, we should not have selective application of the rule of law; one law for everybody. We must as a senate we must preserve the integrity of this institution.”

It hurts me a lot whenever I see a good relationship tearing apart, but then it comes into my mind that most people don't know how to maintain a relationship. So I have to say this.

LADIES, you also have a great part to play in a relationship, if you love that guy then:

1. You respect him, guys love girls who respect them a lot, you don't try to bruise his ego by being disobedient and disrespectful.
2. Listen to him whenever he is talking, never talk back at a guy or walk away from him.
3. If you notice your guy is angry, don't be in a hurry to find out what his problem is, give it time, especially if he is hot tempered, allow his temper to cool before talking to him.
4. Try to get close to his family members. A guy would love you more, if he sees you are in good terms with his family.
5. Do not nag at him, guys hate it when girls nags at them.
6. Girls you just can't wake up one morning and say you want to change your guy, that's impossible. If you want him to change, then give him time and reasons to change.
7. Try to show him how much you love and care about him, by being faithful. If you love your guy so much, I see no reason why your eyes should be on other guys.
8. Be independent, don't just sit around there and wait for him to do all things. Try to help out, guys value girls who can contribute positively to their lives.
9. Be neat, a guy would love his girl to be neat and presentable, don't be a talkative, guys hate that a lot. Try to give yourself some pride and dignity, as a girl you deserve to have that. Don't make the mistake of throwing yourself at a guy, that's really bad.
10. You don't fight a guy, just because you're having a misunderstanding doesn't give you the right to fight with him. If you are arguing with him and can't seem to sort it out, then do your fightings in prayers. It's not your job to fight and argue with your guy, it is your job to pray for him, pray for his heart and every aspect of his life. Above all put God in the center of your relationship, and there is no way you can lose.

Dammy Krane has apologized to his Family, Fans and Friends over his Miami Arrest.

Recall the singer was arrested few days over grand theft & credit card fraud. He was released on bail yesterday, and he has finally had the chance to do a video to address the whole theft saga.

In a video that is less than a minute, the singer denies that he was involved in fraud. He blames the mix-up on the agent he used fraudulent credit cards to book his flight.

“First of all I want to thank God and I want to use this medium to apologise to my family, my team and my fans,” said Dammy Krane at the beginning of the clip.

Speaking further he said “You know I was arrested by the Miami PD for fraud. I do not do fraud and I do not partake in such activities its just happens to be that the agent just booked my flight with fraudulent cards. My life is all about my music and that is all I’m about.”

The singer once again apologised to his fans and thanked his parents for their “undying love.”

“I am sorry I got caught up in this mess. I assure all my fans it will never happen again.

” I want to thank everyone who stood by me in this period. May God continue to bless you and protect you all. Amin.

38-year-old man, identified as Ajibade Rasheed, who was found with fresh human parts in Osogbo, Osun State have been arrested by the police.

A fresh head of a woman, vagina, liver, lungs and a bottle containing blood were recovered in the suspect’s car with registration number, LSD 987 DJ.

While parading the suspect, the osun state commissioner of Police, Mr. Fimihan Adeoye said the suspect was caught at Olu-Ode area and confirmed that investigations has commenced to identify the victim.
