“I come from the Igbo tribe. I am a king’s son and I came here with lots of money to set up a clothing shop. Most of us are businessmen who have contributed to the economy by employing d in our hair salons and shops.

These are just greedy people who cannot stand our success… If these accusations are anything to go by, why not report those involved in crime to police? Not every foreigner is a drug dealer,” Okoro said.
Our people won't stop making mouth.

We (did) a lot for this country during apartheid. But now that everything is hunky dory we are being attacked… This smacks of hypocrisy,” he said.

Okoro is happily married to a Zulu wife and claims that if he had to go back to Nigeria, it would have a negative effect on his child. He disputed the accusation that the Nigerians living in the Point area were involved in crime.
Not necessarily.
How do you know the police are not working for the locals.

I will tell what backwardness is all about;

In a Capitalist State Like Ours, Wealthy Firms With Healthy Cash Flow Control The Economy Not Petty Traders.

"I have investigated all the 20 top Nigerian companies listed below as compiled by authoritative Forbes business magazine and none of them is based in Igbo land or controlled by the so called ‘Igbo business men’.

Impressively, 20 Nigerian companies made it to the list of Top 25 companies in West Africa. They include:

• Dangote Cement
• Zenith Bank PLC
• Ecobank Transnational Incorporated
• Nigerian Breweries Plc
• First Bank Plc
• Guaranty Trust Bank Plc
• United Bank for Africa
• Guinness Nigeria
• Nestlé Nigeria
• Access Bank
• Flour Mills Nigeria
• Union Bank of Nigeria
• Stanbic IBTC
• First City Monument Bank
• Lafarge Cement WAPCO
• Total Nigeria
• Unilever Nigeria
• PZ Cussions
• UACN
• Cadbury Nigeria Plc

According to Forbes, Nigeria has 20 of the best 25 companies in West Africa.

It is only a fool who will believe Igbo postulation that it is street trader’s and hawkers that controls an economy. If that hypothesis is valid, then the Indians and Pakistanis in Britain can also claim that they [are] in charge of British economy because over 70% of petty street trading in Britain is in the hand of the Asians. However, we all know that actual British economy is firmly in the hands of the Britons. The same is factual for Germany and France where Turkish and North African Algerians are their own local version of Igbo. The only difference is that these other 'gypsies’' are more knowledgeable of who they are in their host countriy's economy, unlike ignorant Igbo petty street traders in Yoruba land."

Jeolous my bombom. grin
They love living in fantasy.

Even in Ghana Yorubas big business are trumping Igbos petty trades .

PoliticsRe: Buruji Kashamu Responds To Ap's Report On His Alleged Indictment In The US by emmatok(m): 3:47pm On Apr 17, 2015
I saw this and found it interesting...Esho Jinadu Aka Prince Buruji Kashamu originally born in the late 50s to Alhaja Jinadu is a MAN who now claims his deceased older brother's identity, Buruji . According to reports, he originated from Ijebu Igbo, Ogun State, Nigeria. He has several baby mothers one of which is the popular Rosula and children. He is now fond of denying his old identity by ignoring people who know his roots.Meanwhile, he claims to be a Muslim but eextremely diabolical..
Esho started as a vehicle licensing Tout at the Lagos Mainland Local Government during the years 1978-1983 with the likes of Babs, Sir K, Kunle Enilolobo, Late Mohammed Oladapo, e.t.c.. The first proceeds earned him enough to be introduced to Illicit substances and Money Counterfeit, in which he used Jinsod Motors on Allen Avenue Ikeja to front for his illegitimate drug dealings. This went for a while until he was nabbed by the Nigerian Customs alongside his brother the Real ''Buruji''. His brother Buruji was locked up at the popular Alagbon while he was held at the Customs ware house Ilupeju.

He made a daring escape with the help of Dupe, The daughter of the Owner of Naira Pools (one of the pioneer betting companies in Nigeria) and fled to Republic of Benin. While on exile in Benin, he was able to expand his Illicit network with the help of Cali Cartel Drug Lords of Columbia where he amassed so much funds from the export of drugs to America mainly Chicago from which he was able to fund a Presidential aspirant who eventually won. With his access to the Presidency, he successfully defrauded the country where he is still wanted for his atrocities. At that time, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Corruption in West Africa and DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency USA) had linked and declared him wanted for enormous drug trafficking charges, Money Laundering and Murder. He was detained at the famous Wormwood scrubs prisons in UK for several years where he fought extradition to the USA extensively and lost. He eventually absconded to Nigeria while on bail and has since been unable to step out of the shores of Nigeria....

A high-wired plot to obstruct the actualisation of the Ibaka Deep Seaport project within the deep waters of Akwa Ibom State, by some highly placed persons working in tandem with some officials of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has been uncovered.

Daily Sun checks revealed that the plot is being hatched by some opposition (APC) governors and some highly placed Nigerians to obtain an ‘obnoxious letter’ from the NPA with a view to presenting the seaport project as not viable.

[b]The slow people have evaded this thread again. You all know those i am referring to. "Kashamu should Just travel to US crew". If you care to read his statement he said he has never been to the US before so for what god-forsaken reason should he just travel to the US?To show that he is a superman or what?We all know that American judicial system sucks and the more competent judicial system which is that of Britain found him not guilty therefore let the young man go about his business.America as a country always feel slighted whenever they are flawed in such judicial process will always want to seek other clandestine moves in order to massage their ego and get what they want.Let America use the legal means to verify if he is indeed the person.Infact they did as Prince Kashamu has stated but the apprehended suspect didn't say he is the person they are looking for.Unless this story Kashamu is telling is a lie i won't label him drug peddler. Aside I hate when many Nigerians always seek and desire the down fall of any wealthy person.Or is this part of why poverty is eating deep into the nation?Whenever the news is on Celebrities or a successful business person you will see them raising their Meduceric heads and putrid mouth insulting and pulling such person down without even given the person the opportunity to speak. This is fast becoming a trend with Nigerians especially the slows here in NL. HOW THE DRAMA WILL PLAY OUT ------ Senator-Elect and a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ogun State, Chief Buruji Kashamu, has described the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, as his role model. In addition, Chief Buruji also congratulated Obasanjo and Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun. He promised Amosun that he would ensure that the nine PDP senators in the Ogun State House of Assembly give him maximum cooperation. Obasanjo no dey forgive and forget. This is how this drama will play out. The praise singing is a prelude to Senator-Elect Kashamu Buruji, making the most of the open transfer window for politicians, crossing over from the PDP to APC. Obasanjo, will stylishly tell Buhari and Tinubu to accept him with pomp and fanfare. When the new Senate is inaugurated, because Senator Buruji is now with the governing party, they will let him head ,lets say, Foreign Affairs Committee of the Senate. Meanwhile, Buhari has pledged to quickly normalize the frosty relationship that currently exist between Nigeria and the United States. To this end, Senator Buruji, as the Head, Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, will have to travel to the USA with whoever Buhari will be nominating to man the Foreign Affairs Ministry. Before, making that trip, Buhari will have hinted Obasanjo on those making that trip, OBJ on his part will simply reachout to Washington that someone on FBI and DEA most wanted list will be visiting the USA the next day. Meaning the visiting party to USA, will be short one on their return trip to Nigeria. grin grin grin

We will agree to disagree. No argument for that one.
The last time Tom Ikimi who decamped to the PDP was also playing the SS game in Edo, but today Edo state politics is different.

You people forgot that there are both PDP and APC members in every state in Nigeria. And people with easily go with the political parties irrespective of the their tribes or region.

You should strive to form a strong political party rather than a regional agenda.
