Romance / Microcheating, What Is It And Are You Guilty? by emmatuxz(m): 12:18pm On Mar 13, 2018
Microcheating is the term for small things you do that could have whispers of infidelity, without even being physically unfaithful but just as dangerous.

Signs of micro-cheating  (Bustle)
Microcheating is the term for small things you do that could have whispers of infidelity, without even being physically unfaithful, and can take you into territories you might regret. Think of it as the little sister to emotional cheating. We explain exactly what micro cheating is and whether or not you are guilty.
“Microcheating happens when you create small opportunities for affectionate behaviours that fall outside your relationship,” explains sex and relationship therapist Tammy Nelson, PhD, author of The New Monogamy: Redefining Your Relationship After Infidelity. You may be doing it when your partner is not around or even in front of them and with or without their knowledge. But given that such a habit can build up to something more, it can spell trouble.

What are common signs of micro-cheating?
Although physical cheating is quite easy to define, microcheating tends to be more of a grey area. However, common examples of this type of infidelity can include:

Lying about your relationship status
Obsessively checking another person's social media feed
Texting or contacting someone without your partner's knowledge . . . and trying to mask the evidence
Listing a so-called "friend" under a code name in your phone
Engaging with a past lover, whether it be in person or on social media
Sharing secrets with someone you're attracted to outside your relationship

Microcheating whilst in a relationship.  (The Independent)
How to be sure that you're microcheating
If you're not sure whether your own behaviour counts as micro-cheating, certified coach Jillian Turecki suggests asking yourself this: Would you be acting the same way if your partner was sitting right next to you? "Anything that’s done on the sly or is not congruent with who you are in front of your person is a problem," explains Turecki.

No matter how small the act of microcheating feels, Turecki suggests thinking about what you value. "Instead of thinking, 'I can’t micro cheat,' it’s more useful to think of what you value. If you value integrity, respect, and loyalty, then commit to acting in accordance with that. I believe that is an important standard everyone must have for themselves, coupled or not. It leads to greater happiness as well. We like acting in alignment with what we value. It feels good."

Does this mean the end?
But should this behaviour really be a deal-breaker in a relationship? If it makes you feel uncomfortable or insecure in your relationship, then perhaps.

However, it's important to talk to your partner about the issue in a diplomatic and rational way, taking are to explain the observations you have made, and how they have affected you.

If you think "there may be more to the story'' it may be wise to talk to your partner about the situation and ask calmly "Is there something I need to know about your feelings for this person?"

Another effective approach would be to ask: "How would you feel if I did something like this?". Sometimes people do not understand the magnitude of their actions until they are the ones on the receiving end of such behaviour. A little empathy can go a long way.

Microcheating is largely forgivable but the danger is that it can lead to cheating in the more traditional sense. Sometimes, little actions have subconscious effects on us and before we know it, a small fancy can spell big trouble for your relationship. Always bear in mind what you have and remind yourself about why it's not worth it to put what you and your partner have built at risk.

Politics / Fulani Herdsmen Attacks: Senator Shehu Sani Attacks Buhari by emmatuxz(m): 12:49pm On Jan 08, 2018
The Senator representing Kaduna Central in the National Assembly, Shehu Sani, has pointed out that every drop of blood of Nigerians following herdsmen continued attacks, erodes the credibility and integrity of the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.
Sani noted that the mass murder in Southern Kaduna, Taraba, Benue, Numan and other affected places are “unpardonable and despicable crime.”
He also noted that enough blood had been spilled by the blood thirsty herdsmen.
He said this in a statement he made available to newsmen in Abuja yesterday.
According to the lawmaker, “The mass murder in southern Kaduna, Taraba, Benue, Numan and other affected places are unpardonable and despicable.
“These killings and bloodletting threatens the peace, stability and unity of our country.
“Helmsmen must confront Herdsmen. One minute silence and repeated words of condolences and sympathy cannot address the problem or end the bloodshed.
“Every attack erodes the credibility and integrity of the present administration and every drop of blood stains the conscience of all men in the position of power.
“Enough blood has been spilled by herdsmen to stain the Rivers of Niger and Benue.
“Mr President, there are vultures flying over the heads, the villages and communities of our people. No policy or programme or agenda of government is more important than human lives.
“No policy or programme or agenda of the government is more important than human lives. These five Ps must stop; protecting, pampering, paying, politicising and prevaricating on the herdsmen must stop.”

“I was born in Kaduna, I live in Kaduna, I represent Kaduna. There was never any modern rail project in Kaduna or from Kaduna except the one started ‘to near completion’ under Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and now completed by the President Muhammadu Buhari Government. If there was any under any other Government perhaps it was invisible.”

Romance / 12 Ways Men Show That They Are Truly In Love With A Woman by emmatuxz(m): 4:14pm On Jan 02, 2018
In some conversations that I have with women regarding a man they are just starting to date, or even one they have been with for awhile, I often hear how he is not as verbal as they would like when it comes to showing their affection. Many things I suggest in my article suggest open and free communication between men and women in terms of showing how they value each other, but the truth is, it takes a certain kind of man to frequently put his feelings into words for you.
It is not better or worse, it does not mean more or mean less, it just shows that men all express their affection in their own ways (as do women, of course).
So, even if your guy isn’t telling you how he feels, here are some ways he might show you.
1. He brings you around his friends.
Or family. Or whoever is closest to him. When a man starts to make you part of the important things in his life, it is a good sign that he is serious about you. He wants others to experience the happiness that you bring to his life (and maybe show you off a little bit — in a good way because he is proud to be with you).
2. He stays close to you physically.
It could be keeping his arm around you, hugging you randomly, or cuddling up on the couch — a man who truly cares and enjoys your company will always want to be in close proximity to you. Physical contact, even when ‘innocent,’ sends non-verbal messages that are worth paying attention to.
3. He really listens to you.
One of the major things that men often get accused of is being terrible listeners. Whether we don’t remember that it was your friend’s birthday this weekend, or which scented candle was your favorite one at the store — the small details matter most. A man who really cares for you will listen intently and do his best to absorb all of the details that he can. It is his way of showing you that he values you and what you have to say.
4. He is all smiles after you kiss.
You know, that feeling…
5. He stays in touch with you just because.
Two people who genuinely enjoy each other’s company don’t need a reason to talk to each other. If he texts or calls you just to say hello, to see how your day is going, or to say good morning and goodnight, it is a clear sign that he thinks about you often and wants you to know it.
6. He doesn’t care what you do, as long as you’re together.
Oh, you have to go grocery shopping today or go out and get things for your party this weekend? Count him in. For the man who wants to spend as much time with you as he can, it’s not just going to be on date night or when you are intimate together. A meaningful relationship is just as much about sharing in everyday things together, as it is about the exciting things.
7. He mirrors your behavior and body language.
While some of us recognize this as an effective form of communication as well as a method to make someone more comfortable around us, many people will just become so in-tune with the person they are with that they subconsciously start duplicating gestures, positions, or postures. If you find him touching your arm after you touch his, uncrossing his legs after you uncross yours, or leaning in to you during conversation after you lean in to him — it shows he is paying close attention to you, whether he realizes it or not.
8. He puts thought into the gifts he gives you.
While, obviously, special occasions are not the only time that a man (or woman) should do something special for you, they are more traditional in the sense that it is an opportunity to slow our lives down and show somebody how much we appreciate them. Whether it is a gift you have wanted or an experience you have desired to partake in — a man who really cares about you will not just pick up a stuffed animal and some flowers at the store. He will do something special that is clearly specifically for you.
9. He compromises.
No great relationship was ever built on the foundation of “what’s in it for me?” A man who is just playing the field will have no reason to sacrifice his own self-interest for somebody… unless he feels something deeper for them. When we begin to develop love for someone, we want to see them happy, even if that means putting our own self-interests aside for the sake of theirs. Her happiness becomes our happiness.
This is not to say he will become a doormat — there is a big difference between compromise and sacrifice. It goes both ways.
10. He will go pick up your dry-cleaning.
Or whatever it is that you don’t have time to do yourself. He will put in the effort to help you out in order to make your life easier, just because. A man who is not serious about you will not be around often enough, nor willing enough, to do these things.
11. He asks for your advice.
If a man asks you for your advice on a decision he is trying to make or a situation that he is in, it means he values your opinion enough to take you seriously and actually use it as a guiding light in his own life. If a man values your thoughts, it means he values you.
12. He will always make you feel safe.
Men are naturally protective. Millions of years of biological evolution has brought us to the point where we naturally want to protect those we love, whether they need it or not. It could mean protecting you from getting hurt emotionally or physically, but protecting nonetheless.
A man who loves and cares for you will make you feel safe. He will never make you question whether or not he will be there for you in a time of need. He will stand by your side when he must, in front of you when he must, and behind you when he must. He will be your teammate through life.
A man who loves you will make you feel it in his own ways. When he really cares, you will know it — if he doesn’t, you will be wondering all the time if he does.

Romance / 8 Ways Of Making Your Older Crush Fall For You by emmatuxz(m): 1:09pm On Dec 24, 2017
At a younger age, chances are you’d have had a crush on an older woman and there are some good reasons why this match could be a good one.
Between the ages of 18 and 21, sexual and physiological factors are at its peak for men and same goes for women when they are in their mid to late thirties which may be one of the reasons for the younger man, older woman match.
However, women that are free and willing to go into a relationship with a younger man are fewer than those who wouldn’t. The question now is how can you compete against the vast number of women not willing to go into a relationship with a younger man?
Here are a few tips that can help you seduce and secure the attention of the older woman you’ve been eyeing.
Stick Your Head Out
The simple fact that you’re young is a source of attraction for older women. Older people love the youthfulness and freshness of the younger ones.
Irrespective of your age, women have certain traits they long to see in their male companions. Being confident and having a set of opinions is one thing older women are on the lookout for.
Being indecisive is something she doesn’t want to see. Be assertive and show her that inspite of your youthful age, you have a mind of your own.
Know When To Keep Shut
This is not to say you shouldn’t voice your opinions as she would enjoy that, but the essence of this point is to remind you to allow free flowing discussions.
A lot of young men tend to want to dominate conversations but acting in such manner would most likely make her feel unimpressed as she’s used to being independent and opinionated.
The best way for you to go about this is to avoid saying anything on conversation subjects you know little about. Listen more and you’d have her liking you.
Avoid The Age Talk
It’s obvious that there’s an age gap between you and her but you shouldn’t bring it to the fore in discussions.
Avoid making references to anything that will make her remember she’s older as that will be less than impressive. Instead of talking about age, comment about how smart and intelligent she is.
Give Her Space
She has her own life to live and you must respect that fact. You don’t expect her to save all her time to hang out with you. Wanting to spend too much time with her will only make her feel choked and stifled. This might make her crave for someone that is more of her age.
Compliment Her
She’s smarter than the average girl you’ve rolled with and knows how to appreciate any odd compliment. As a matter of fact, she’s more likely to want you complimenting her than ever before. Pick your words carefully and watch her glow in appreciation as she slowly falls for you.
Dress To Kill
Every older woman out there has probably seen and experienced much more than you have of emotional situations and every other thing. This means she has a good grasp of what and how to dress for every occasion.
For you to have a shot at her, you must get your dress code right whenever you meet up with her. For instance, you don’t expect to have her falling for you if you’d wear a T-shirt to a corporate event.
The situation is even made worse if you have been able to establish some form of romantic connection with her as this may lead to her feeling embarrassed in front of her mates. This situation will likely lead to the end of whatever you dreamt of having with her. Do your research and live up to her expectations.
Stay Clean And Trim
One of the reasons she wants to consider you is because of your youthful vigour and trim physique. Keep your beards well trimmed and don’t allow yourself get heavy or lacking in fitness. Pay good attention to personal hygiene. Smell good and keep your body trim.
That’s what would keep her attracted. If not these things, she’d have stayed with someone that’s more in her age range.
Select Good Locations
You’d definitely have to take her out on dated and that can be a lot tasking given the fact that she has quite a lot of experience in that area.
What you should have at the back of your mind while selecting a place is that she’s a strong confident woman who has an idea of what she wants. Choose a location that’s matured and cool. A place a woman of her age deserves.

Meanwhile the fresh N30 billion naira suit has just gone to the High Court to start its legal journey.
....
In all , Innoson has won two High Court cases and two Appeal Court cases all against GTBank .
Innoson as at today has Judgement debt over about N10billion based on 22% interest rate against GTBank .
Questions for EFCC :
(i) Now where is the EFCC coming from in all these ?
(ii) Does EFCC actually understand their duties here ?
(iii) Is EFCC by their action not sabotaging Nigerian economy ?
(iv) If EFCC should to arrest any of the parties , shouldn't GTBank who dubiously deducted Innoson money from his account and have debt of about N8billion to pay Innoson that they should arrest ?

Slay Queen has been making calls since she joined this Bus.

Slay Queen is talking loud; so loud everyone can hear her phone conversation.
Slay Queen is using an iPhone 7. I didn’t know it was an iPhone 7. Aunty kept telling her caller that her iPhone 7 battery is low and she wasn’t with her Samsung galaxy 8.
Slay Queen said she missed her flight to the U.S but she’s not bothered because she didn’t want to go there in the first place, that her Father forced her to go on a vacation she didn’t want.

Slay Queen said she was on her way to her ‘5 star’ hotel to cool off from pressure from office and her Rich we even have any 5 star hotel in Nigeria?

Slay Queen said she just made a payment of 500k for shoes and bags she bought from an online store in Dubai.
Slay Queen said it’s either a Diamond Jewelry or nothing.

Slay Queen ends the call.

If she was that rich why didn’t she simply Uber her Movement? Anyways maybe she was so humble and wanted to have a feel of life on the other side.

I’m here thinking of my life. Life has been Unfair. The only thing I can boast of is a tecno phone and a monthly subscription. Calling me broke will mean that there’s light at the end of the tunnel because my situation is far worse and someone paid 500k for just shoes and bags.

No Problem.

Victor 0 Village People 1

‘Madam that Rice small for #100 oh, add small rice for me na. Okay put beans #50, plantain 50, spaghetti 50 and 2 meat. Madam double the nylon for me abeg. Thank You’

That Voice sounded familiar.

I left my space on the queue and took a quick peep on the last person that bought food in Mama ‘Do Me Well’ shop.
It was our own Slay Queen.

This time the sun had separated the brown powder from the Red powder on her face like it was some fractional distillation.

Don’t they have food in the hotel or is t they have food in the hotel or is the Chief Chef in the Hotel on maternity Leave? Abi the 5 Star Hotel don catch fire?

Again I said to myself, Maybe she was so Humble and wanted to have a feel of life on the other side.

May God bless that Slay Queen. So down to Earth.

Sports / No Red Card Betting Tips (the New Goldmine) by emmatuxz(m): 7:22am On Nov 03, 2017
NO RED CARD TIPS:

The key to successful sports betting is in gaining a regular edge over the bookmakers which will culminate in consistent profits. If you can have a little bit of fun along the way then that’s a huge
bonus . Certain types of alternative markets, such as the ‘cards market’ in football, fall squarely into both categories and are therefore worthy of serious consideration.
The football cards market isn’t, as the name might suggest, a massive trading post where people meet up to swap their stickers or play Top Trumps. It’s actually a type of bet where using
skill, judgement and ability to correctly extrapolate the relevant information, you can make financial gain by predicting how many cards will be shown in any given game, which player or players are most likely to end up in the referee’s little black book or which side will amass the most bookings.
There are five fundamental factors to take into consideration before placing any cards market bet.

Five Factors of Betting on Football Bookings (Card Bookings)

#1 - The Referee
#2 - The Diver
#3 - The Local Derby
#4 - The Niggler
#5 - The Strong Centre Half

#1 - The Referee

While it’s ever-more fashionable to berate referees and bang on about how much technological help they need, be it in the form of vanishing spray, goal-line technology or indeed a brand new pair of spectacles, knowledge is power when it comes to assessing how strict or how lenient each ref is.
There are several useful resources for ascertaining a ref’s harshness, such as soccerbase.com, statbunker.com, guardian.touch-line.com and so on. These and others are handy to assess referees’ form in terms of their previous ‘card history’ which are vital tools in predicting the frequency of yellow and red cards .

#2 - The Diver

The cliché ‘make the ref make a decision’ is applied to that master of the theatrical fall, the diver. The more divers picked for a match, the higher the number of cards dealt out will be. Put it this way, if the diver is successful, he will get his opponent booked. If unsuccessful, it is almost equally as likely that he will be on the receiving end of a card.
Obviously, the English Premier League’s most persistent diver, a certain Mr Luis Suarez, no longer plies his trade in the UK, but there are plenty more players who fit the bill. Arguably (and sadly) there is at least one diver in every Premier League first eleven these days as divers are an essential part of all clubs in the age of ‘the best con artist wins’.

#3 - The Local Derby

Derby matches turn even the most mild-mannered players – and fans – into total lunatics for the days leading up to the game and the 90 minutes plus stoppages (for pitch invasions) on match day. Inevitably, cards are rife in derby matches and although the odds often shorten as a result, there is nothing wrong in backing what virtually amounts to a sure thing. Can you really imagine a Celtic/Rangers match, for example, without any bookings?
Factor in which ref has been assigned to preside over the fighting in the event a football match might break out at some point. Some refs, although they are admittedly a dying breed, enjoy the thud and blunder of a derby match and will go to great lengths not to get their book out until someone is virtually decapitated.
Examples of ‘heated’ Premier League derby matches: Newcastle v Sunderland, Aston Villa v West Brom, Arsenal v Tottenham, Manchester City v Manchester United, Everton v Liverpool.

#4 - The Niggler

Like the diver, all top professional football clubs have at least one niggler. You know the one. He’s the player who always pulls shirts, trips opponents up, argues with the ref and generally does everything in his power to get booked, despite his coach claiming that he’s a reformed character and is showing a ‘new found maturity’.
Identify the nigglers before you make your cards market selection and consider yourself to be first in line at the payout queue if both sides happen to have three or four nigglers in their ranks.

#5 - The Strong Centre Half

Inevitably, the strong centre half will have to ‘take one for the team’ from time to time in order to stop the opposition striker having a clear run on goal. There are several strong centre halves plying their trade in the Premier League at present and if there happens to be four of them on the pitch at any given time you might want to turn away as the carnage unfolds.
Politics / President Proud Of His Administration's Achievements In 2 Years by emmatuxz(m): 6:14pm On Oct 31, 2017
President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed his admiration for the significant achievements of his administretion since he assumed power two years ago.
Pointing at issues such as the 'technical defeat' of Boko Haram, the Niger Delta, improved power, the Treasury Single Account (TSA) policy, and agriculture, the president said the country's prestige has gone up due to the great works of his administration.

He made these remarks at the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the All Progressives' Congress (APC) at the National Secretariat in Abuja on Tuesday, October 31.

The president expressed his appreciation for the support of his party's leadership in helping his government run smoothly even when he was on medical leave in London for months.

He also thanked the principal officers in the National Assembly especially Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Speaker Mr. Yakubu Dogara for helping his administration achieve great success by putting Nigeria above their own personal interests.

The president said, "We can be proud of our achievements in the last two years, Boko Haram, Niger Delta, Regular Fuel, Improved Power, TSA, Agriculture and Fertilizer, above all, the knowledge that corruption will not be tolerated in this Government. We all know there is CHANGE.

Nigeria’s prestige has gone up, Nigeria is now credit-worthy, a clear testimony of which was the over-subscription of the Euro-Bond by 4 times.

"Nevertheless, we are not resting on our achievements. I am quite aware of the challenges before us.

"Let me thank you all again for the commitment and dedicated service to our Party and to remind you that much more will be required of you in the coming months. I hope we can continue to depend on you.

"If we keep united and rise above petty or personal quarrels we will surely achieve the desired CHANGE in the country."
Politics / New SGF Is Babachir Lawal’s Cousin’ by emmatuxz(m): 6:05pm On Oct 31, 2017
Following the sack of Babachir Lawal as Secretary General of the Federation and the appointment of Boss Mustapha as Secretary to the Government of the Federation, a member of the House of Representatives during the Second Republic, Dr Junaid Muhammed, has revealed that Boss Mustapha is Babachir Lawal’s cousin.

Juniad told Punch’s correspondent;

“Before you begin to celebrate the appointment of Boss Mustapha as the new SGF, do you know that he is in fact, Babachir Lawal’s first cousin? This is a continuation of the cronyism and nepotism the Buhari-led administration has become infamous for”.
However APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, has risen to defend Buhari after Nigerians dragged him for failing to direct further actions on the sacked officials.

“Few days ago, when the President directed the dismissal of Abdulrasheed Maina, some people said that was right but what about the suspended SGF, BD Lawal? But we as a party said look, the President is the only person who has all the information. All of us can only have one side of the story or the other.
“But the President by the virtue of the position he occupies is the only one who has all the information and he would do what is necessary at the right time, now we have been vindicated and it shows that the President has not in any way waived his commitment not to tolerate corruption at any level no matter who is involved.”
Similarly, the Arewa Consultative Forum applauded President Muhammadu Buhari for sacking Lawal and Oke. In its reaction to the development, the ACF through the National Publicity Secretary, Muhammad Ibrahim Biu, said, “The action taken by President Buhari on the report submitted by the Osinbajo Committee that investigated the suspended SGF and the DG NIA is appropriate and timely” Bolaji said.
Politics / Buhari Aware Of Maina’s Reinstatement, I Warned Him —hos In Leaked Memo by emmatuxz(m): 5:59pm On Oct 31, 2017
The Head of Service of the Federation, Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita,  has said  President Muhammadu Buhari is aware of the reinstatement of a former Chairman  of the Pension Reforms Commission, Mallam Abdulrasheed Maina, into the civil service.

She however said she warned the President against it.

Oyo-Ita said that her warning was based on the implications such reinstatement would have on the anti-corruption war of the Federal Government.

The HoS stated this in her memo to the Chief of Staff to the President, Mr. Abba Kyari.

The memo, with reference number HSCSF/HCSF/LU/COR/FCSC/750/T, was dated October 23, 2017.

The memo, titled, “Re: Abdulrasheed Abdullahi Maina,” was received in the office of the Chief of Staff to the President on October 23.

A copy of the memo was sighted by our correspondent in Abuja on Monday.

The President had directed the HoS to investigate the circumstances that surrounded the return of Maina to the civil service.

He gave the directive following the public outcry that trailed Maina’s reinstatement.

Maina, whose whereabouts is still unknown,  has been accused of embezzling pensioners’ funds running into billions of naira and is currently under investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

Explaining further, the HoS said she met the President after the Federal Executive Council meeting of Wednesday,  October 11, where she verbally warned Buhari against bringing Maina back to the service.

She, however, did not say what the response of the President was after briefing him.

Oyo-Ita said, “Please, note that the OHCSF was never in agreement with the reinstatement and consequently never conveyed the approval of the FCPC to Mr. A. A. Maina, nor approved his posting to the Ministry of Interior or any other MDA

“Rather, I sought audience with His Excellency, Mr. President on Wednesday, 11th October, 2017 after the FEC meeting where I briefed His Excellency verbally on the wide-ranging implications of the reinstatement of Mr. A. A. Maina, especially the damaging impact on the anti-corruption stance of this administration.”

The letter partly read, “Further to your letter Ref. SH/COS/100/A/1570 dated 23rd October, 2017 on the above subject matter, I write to inform you of the circumstances leading to the irregular recall of Mr. Abdulrasheed Abdullahi Maina.

“I wrote to place on record the following facts as it permits to Mr. A. A. Maina who was dismissed from service on 21st February, 2013.

“The move to recall Mr. A. A. Maina was at the instance of a series of letters from the Attorney General of the Federation to the Federal Civil Service Commission requesting the commission to give consequential effect to the judgement that voided the warrant of arrest issued against Mr. A. A. Maina which formed the basis for the query and his eventual dismissal.

“The letters herewith attached as Annexes I-III are:

(a)  Ref. HAGF/FFCSC/2017/VOL.1/1 dated 19th January 2017,

(b) Ref. HAGF/FFCSC/2017/VOL.1/ 2 dated 21st February 2017; and

(c)Ref. HAGF/FFCSC/2017/VOL.1/1 dated 27th April 2017.

“The FCSC thereafter requested that the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation should advise the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior to consider the AGF’s letter and make appropriate recommendations to the commission and this was so communicated to the Ministry of Interior.

“The Ministry of Interior took the matter to the Senior Staff Committee of the ministry and recommended the reinstatement of Mr. A. A. Maina into the service as Deputy Director.

“The OHCSF forwarded the recommendation to the FCSC which has the constitutional responsibility for appointments, promotion and discipline for further action.

“The FCSC in consideration of the letter from the AGF and the recommendations of the SSC of the Ministry of Interior consequently approved and conveyed the reinstatement of Mr. A. A. Maina with effect from 21st February, 2013 vide letter herewith attached as Annex IV.

“(vi) The letter of reinstatement, as communicated to HCSF Ref. FC. 4029.82/Vol. III/179 dated  18th September, 2017 attached herewith as Annex IV, ostensibly also copied the Ministry of Interior which is the one erroneously used to document Mr. A. A. Maina on a claim that he has resumed work since 28th September, 2017. The Ministry of Interior informed the OHCSF of this development vide letter Ref. MI/1436/II/24 dated 16th October, 2017 from Ministry of Interior stating that Mr. A. A. Maina has resumed with effect from 28th September, 2017 is attached as Annex V.

“Please note that the OHCSF was never in agreement with the reinstatement and consequently never conveyed the approval of the FCSC to Mr. A. A. Maina nor approved his posting to the Ministry of Interior or any other MDA. Rather, I sought audience with His Excellency, Mr. President on Wednesday, 11th October, 2017 after the FEC meeting where I briefed His Excellency verbally on the wide-ranging implications of the reinstatement of Mr. A. A. Maina, especially the damaging impact on the anti-corruption stance of this administration.

“However, I have requested the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, to provide any documentary evidence to support the claim of reinstatement and posting of Mr. A. A. Maina by OHCSF, since after his dismissal.

“The letter to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior is attached as Annex VI. The foregoing is accordingly submitted for your information and further consideration.

Health / These Are The Five Most Addictive Substances On Earth by emmatuxz(m): 7:41am On Oct 17, 2017
Those scientists are it again. A panel of addiction experts (made up of specialists from the Royal College of Psychology as well as chemists, pharmacologists, forensic scientists and what have you) have bashed their heads together and come up with a list of the five most addictive substances on this awful rock, and their results are… well they’re not shocking, but they will make you feel a bit tense at the pub later.

They’ve based it on three factors: pleasure, psychological dependence and physical dependence. Probably worth pointing out that ‘pleasure’ isn’t the same as ‘good and fun to do’, it’s about receptors and euphoria and that. This list isn’t meant to be a tacit recommendation.

Here’s the official top five, which they’ve handily rated out of three; a system even more controversial than Roger Ebert’s ‘four out of four’ shenanigans.

1.
Heroin (3/3)

Probably not a big shock this one. Very Not Good Stuff. That full three out of three might come back to bite them when someone invents Super Heroin, mind you. The study points out that your brain “converts heroin into morphine, which binds to molecules on cells that affect how we perceive pain and reward” - which is why doctors are big fans. It does, however, also sometimes cause your breathing to slow down so much that it stops, so… yeah, give this one a wide berth.

2.
Cocaine (2.4/3)

Again, not a massive shock. Cocaine fills your brain with lots of lovely dopamine, which is nice, but also makes you talk A LOT about how much you’re enjoying being on cocaine, which will stop your friends from wanting to talk to you. Horrifying fact: some lab animals loved cocaine so much that they chose it over food until they starved to death. Cocaine and animal testing: both very bad.

3.
Nicotine (2.2/3)

According to this study, 85% of people who try to give up smoking on their own relapse. 85%! They attribute this to the fact that nicotine’s effects peak within 10 seconds but disappear almost immediately which is, frankly, sneaky.

4.
Barbiturates (2/3)

Bit of a wild card, this one. On the one had, it’s prescribed for things like anxiety and insomnia. On the other, it’s what they use to euthanize people. We’ll trust the doctors on that one, but it feels like the general air of euthanasia would probably exacerbate anxiety and insomnia.

5.
Alcohol (1.9/3)

Sorry. You secretly knew this was coming, though. You may have been telling yourself “bet it’s weed or acid or MDMA or whatever lean is” but it is very much booze, the fifth most addictive substance on this, the worst planet. In the study’s own words, alcohol “interferes with messengers in the brain called ‘excitatory’ messengers, slowing our thinking, breathing and heart rate,” which is probably the most terrifying way that anyone has ever put it. Way to scare us down to a swift half after work, science

Health / Drug Abuse: Ten Drugs Nigerian Youths Get ‘high’ On by emmatuxz(m): 2:26pm On Oct 16, 2017
The alarming rate at which young Nigerians abuse drugs must be a source of worry for stake holders. Only last week, the Senate revealed that over 3 million bottles of codeine are consumed everyday in northern Nigerian alone.

Although majority of the users are teenagers and young adults, older people too take these substances. Senator Oluremi Tinubu once revealed why more women are turning to drugs and becoming drug addicts; she said they change because their husbands maltreat them.

Here are ten of the most commonly abused drugs in Nigeria.

Codeine:

Fatal side effects can occur if you use codeine with alcohol, or with other drugs that cause drowsiness or slow your breathing.

It is arguably one of the most abused drug in Nigeria today

Oxycontin:

Side effect of oxycontin Include chills, cold sweats, confusion, difficult or labored breathing, dizziness, fairness, lightheadedness, fever, tightness in chest, rapid weight gain, sunken eyes

Percocets:

Percocet is not to be used than is recommended. An overdose of percocets can cause nausea, pain in the upper stomach, itching, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, or jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes).

Valium:

This is an old drug that have spanned many years as a means of getting high for drug addicts. When over used it can cause confusion, hallucinations, unusual thoughts or behavior;unusual risk-taking behavior, decreased inhibitions, no fear of danger; depressed mood, thoughts of suicide or of one hurting oneself;hyperactivity, agitation, aggression, hostility;new or worsening seizures;weak or shallow breathing, a feeling like you might pass out;muscle twitching, tremor;loss of bladder control; or little or no urinating.

Tylenol:

The best thing to do is to call a doctor if there are signs of skin redness or a rash that spreads and causes blistering and peeling;they are side effects of tylenol

Clonazepam:

It is not advisable to use clonazepam if you have narrow-angle glaucoma or severe liver disease, or if you are allergic to Valium or a similar medicine.

Tramadol:

Fatal side effects can occur if you use tramadol with alcohol, or with other drugs that cause drowsiness or slow your breathing.Seizures (convulsions) have occurred in some people taking this medicine. Tramadol may be more likely to cause a seizure if you have a history of seizures or head injury, a metabolic disorder, or if you are taking certain medicines such as antidepressants, muscle relaxers, narcotic, or medicine for nausea and vomiting.

Acetaminophen:

An overdose of acetaminophen can damage one’s liver or cause death. Call your doctor at once if you have nausea, pain in your upper stomach, itching, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, or jaundice (yellowing of your skin or eyes).

Paracetamol:

It is not advisable to use more of this medication than is recommended. An overdose of paracetamol can cause serious harm. The maximum amount of paracetamol for adults is 1 gram (1000 mg) per dose and 4 grams (4000 mg) per day. Taking more paracetamol could cause damage to one’s liver. If one drinks more than three alcoholic beverages per day, more than 2 grams of paracetamol could be fatal.

Xanax:

Side effects include dizziness ,fever, tightness in chest, rapid weight gain, sunken eyes blurred vision.slurred speech.weakness and respiratory depression, coma.

Business / We Compared Nigerian Naira To Other African Currencies, The Result Is Shocking by emmatuxz(m): 5:19pm On Oct 12, 2017
I felt only a few African countries could have stronger currencies than the naira but I was shocked and ashamed with what I found out.

Different denominations of the naira  (Naij.)
I wanted to do an online transaction with an online fashion brand abroad. Of course, I always make sure I check the exchange rate before I place an order, to know how much I would be spending in naira.
As usual, after calculating the exchange rate, what I wanted to get was on the high side. I just became humble and cancelled the transaction.

I started thinking if the disparity between dollar and naira is so insane, what will be the exchange rate of the naira to the currencies of other African countries. I picked 25 random African countries and compared their currencies with the naira.

Before I started my findings, I felt only a few African countries could have stronger currencies than the naira but boy I was shocked and ashamed with what I came up with.

Check out the latest exchange rate of the Nigerian naira compared to some random African countries' currencies.

1. South Africa - 1 Rand = 26.28 Naira

2. Ethiopia - 1 Birr = 13.30 Naira

3. Ghana - 1 Cedi = 81.96 Naira

4. Gambia - 1 Dalasi = 7.60 Naira

5. Kenya - 1 Shilling = 3.48 Naira

6. Liberia - 1 Dinar = 3.05 Naira

7. Swaziland - 1 Lilangeni = 26.55 Naira

8. Tunisia - 1 Dinar = 145.90 Naira

9. Zambia - 1 kwacha = 36.7 Naira

10. Angola - 1 kwanza = 2.17 Naira

11. Lesotho - 1 Loti = 26.55 Naira

12. Libya - 1 Dinar = 262.77 Naira

13. Morrocco - 1 Dirham = 38.32 Naira

14. Madagascar - 1 Ariary = 0.12 Naira

15. Mauritius - 1 Rupee = 10.5 Naira

16. Malawi - 1 kwacha = 0.50 Naira

17. Mozambique - 1 Metical = 5.8 Naira

18. Namibia - 1 Dollar = 26.55 Naira

19. Seychelles - 1 Rupee = 26.38 Naira

20. Sudan - 1 pound = 53.89 Naira

21. Botswana - 1 Pula = 34.60 Naira

22. Cape Verde - 1 Escudo = 3.82 Naira

23. Algeria - 1 Dinar =  3.18 Naira

24. Egypt - 1 Pound =  20.45 Naira

25. Eritrea - 1 Nakata =  23.52 Naira

The currencies of some worse economies in Africa have better value than the naira.

So the question is - Do you think Nigeria's naira is the weakest currency in Africa and the world at large and what is the way forward to strengthen the naira.
