The Delta State police have arrested some members of a syndicate who specialised in the sales of babies in Delta State.
Hafiz Muhammed Inuwa, the state Commissioner disclosed that the suspects were shuttling between Akure, Ondo State and Onitsha, Anambra State.
The suspects had negotiated with one of their business partners in Onitsha, Mrs. Nkaneme Melife, 37, to sell one of the babies for N1.2m and the other for N800,000, before nemesis caught up with them.
Tolulope Bosede, 45, and Komolafe Abiola, 20, were intercepted while in transit and detectives suspected that Bosede tricked Abiola to Onitsha where she was delivered of one of the babies billed for sale. .
Abiola was made to understand that her baby boy died during child delivery and was buried immediately but the baby was sold by Nkaneme to another buyer, Mrs. Ekunno Ifeyinwa, 56, in Onitsha. .
The two buyers have been arrested with one Josephine Unnuoha, while the stolen child was recovered. Their arrest led to the recovery of another two weeks old baby boy, whose origin is unknown.
Abiola told journalists she lived at Ose, Ondo State. According to her: “We live in the same house. They invited me to Onitsha to come and deliver my baby. .
After delivery, they told me that the baby died but I did not know they hid him and sold him out. It was after the arrest that I came to my senses.”
A viral cult group by the name, Manphite has released a video showing their retaliation on another rival cult group by the name, Eiye who attacked some of the manphite gang members in Edo State.
HGS Media Plus learnt that one of the Manphite cult group member was attacked by their rival cult group, the Eiye confraternity.
The 2:59 minutes video was divided into two part, first part showed a Manphite member been brutalized by some Eiye members which prompted the retaliation as seen in the second part of the video.
While been brutalized by the Manphite cult group, one of the manphite member who was interrogating the Eiye member asked why him and his gang dared their cult group.
He also went on to tell him that if he avoids the Manphite cult group, he will survive, but if he does not, he will die and his parents will only cry and later forget about him.
"The beginning of Manphite is the beginning of wisdom, the beginning of Manphite is the beginning of not die. If u avoid Manphite, you no go die, but if you say Manphite na your mate, see, you go die, your parents, them go only just feel em for some time" the Manphite member said.

A Nigerian mother has abandoned her son to avoid getting arrested after she flouted the stay at home order in Benin city, Edo State.
The little boy who was abandoned by his mother while been interview by an ITV reporter revealed his name as Destiny and also his father's and mother's name as papa and mama Destiny.
He also told the ITV reporter he lives at Total, after he was asked where he stays, but he was unable to tell his age when he was asked.

Osagie Ehanire, minister of health, says he believes that coronavirus can be transmitted sexually.
Speaking at a media briefing in Abuja on Thursday, Ehanire said the country now has 51 cases of the COVID-19 disease.
“If a person is positive, the virus can be transmitted sexually,” he claimed, rather controversially.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) says a lot is still unknown about the virus but currently maintains that it is transmitted through droplets from an infected person.
The virus’ known routes of transmission are the mouth, nose and eyes.
Health experts have said there is no evidence to show that the virus can be transmitted via vaginal or anal intercourse but that it can be transmitted through kissing an infected person.
Ehanire said the ministry was grading the coronavirus cases that were presented before it to avoid its facilities being overcrowded.
He said the confirmed cases were in four categories and that about 80 percent who tested positive do not display the symptoms.
He said severe cases that require oxygen support and ventilators will be taken to the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada, Abuja, assuring that all cases would be well taken care of.
“We are grading our cases very carefully, that’s why we don’t have overcrowding yet, depending on the severity of the case; otherwise, one isolation centre will be filled up if we mix all the cases together,” he said.
“We have four categories as regards coronavirus response and treatment. It has been established that, in most cases, 80 percent of people who tested positive to the virus don’t display symptoms.
“However, the four categories are; no symptom category, mild symptoms category, moderate symptom category and severe symptoms category, which most times, require oxygen or ventilator for treatment of such patient. But so far, we have not had any such cases in Nigeria.
“It’s patients that are on severe symptoms category that are referred to isolation centre at University of Abuja Teaching Hospital (UATH), Gwagwalada, Abuja or elsewhere in the country.
“We have graded the cases and that was why UATH or other isolation centres are not crowded. Other categories are kept at facilities where they are given adequate treatment.”
On reports about the presidential aide that tested positive to the virus, he replied: “He is receiving treatment at a secured government facility somewhere in Nigeria. He is not in any of the known isolation centres because he is not in the fourth category.”
He also said the government may introduce more measures towards curbing the spread of the virus if the need arises.
He called on Nigerians to report cases of people who just got back to the country from high index countries and urged them to also practise social distancing.

Apparently, one of the men who is a motorist had crashed with the other man who is a bike rider. The incident as shown in the video resorted into a serious fight between the two men.
The two men could be seen in the video exchanging blow with each other with no one to separate them.
The man on black shirt stopped on hearing the voice of an onlooker telling them to stop fighting, but the other man on a native dress was just getting started.

What would have appeared to be a terrible tragedy was averted yesterday morning in Zabayo, Edo State, when fire from a burning dirt in a mechanic premises almost consumed an Orphanage home close by.
The mechanic premises that was occupied with cars for repairs and a huge hill of dirt at another end almost became the root of a disastrous event after an unknown mechanic struck fire on the dirt
A witness who spoke with HGS Media Plus said that the fire started from the burning dirt parked in the mechanic premises which they thought was just dirt until the fire expanded and began to burn the roof of a house at the back of the Orphanage home.
Nearby residents, both male and female rushed out to get buckets of water and soap to stop the fire. The Orphanage home was said to be occupied by children who were still inside the building.
The fire which lasted about 30 mins was later put off by the responsive residents who responded swiftly to stop the fire.
The said mechanic that started the fire was no were to be found as at when the accident took place.

A Nigerian girl was shamefully embarrassed at the Ikeja shopping mall by a woman whose husband is her lover.
According to the video making rounds online, the woman was seen screaming and lamenting at the girl, calling her all sort of names.
You are a husband snatcher, the woman said. The girl who couldn't said a word tried to move away from the angry woman, but she kept on moving towards her and calling her names.
This attracted a crowd in the mall as some people came in to control the situation. They held the woman and separated her from the girl.

A 26 year old electrician identified as David was caught red handed after stealing some cables from a transformer in Edo State.
The man who claimed to be an electrician said during a questioning that he had stole 3 times from 2 different location called Joromil and Ugbobi junction in Edo State.
He also confessed that he sold all the cables he stole to an alhaji named Blacky, who is located at Obakawaye at the back of a popular bank in Benin.
He said he sold the pervious cables he had stole before for the sum of N50, N40 and N30 thousand naira, and was planning fo selling this one for a lesser amount.
