I'll be honest, I don't fancy Obi, I don't see him how his fans see him, but omo, he has my vote, I just have to vote against those two persons apc and pdp presented.
obainojazz: He said some innocent comment and the journalist turned it into something else… Then she started looking for women to come forward and say Morgan assaulted them.
A001: Tell me where I told you the method is for the whole Nigeria.
It seems you've serious comprehension problems. I said many times that I advocate teaching STEM in major indigenous languages.
Is Yoruba the only major language in Nigeria? You can't read and comprehend simple statements written in simple English?
Sadly, nothing said throughout the discussion so far has penetrated your brain. You are missing the point, replace yoruba with igbo or hausa and the message is the same, yoruba in this case is merely a reference point.
Why is it language that is the issue, not lack of adequate facilities, untrained instructors, and resources in general?? Do you think teaching stem in yoruba or igbo or hausa will make any difference with the current educational framework we have all over Nigeria?
BanyXchi: what are you even saying? What tribe are you from? Why are you so concerned about how a tribe wants to introduce their language in their curriculum?
If Lugard didn't come to this part of the world, my people won't be in thesame country with your people.
BanyXchi: why are you so concerned if Yorubas want to adopt their own language into STEM? And are you a one Nigerianist? He clearly said it will work better when we leave this barbaric British contraption called Nigeria
We are having a discussion and I am sharing my opinion. Yes, I am a one Nigerianist. On the very very slim chance that they leave the British contraption, lmao, I wonder what the ado is about, if it's success is dependent on a near impossible condition.
A001: The highlighted is wrong. I wish one of your listeners knew that.
The Yoruba language, just like the English language and many other languages in Europe and around the world, uses the Roman alphabets (also Latin alphabets).
The English alphabets were developed from Old Latin, the language of the Roman Empire that had colonized Britain in the past.
When the British were wise and strong enough to break free from the Roman colonial rule, they translated many of the scientific papers and concepts to English language.
You can't invent things using the current model (Western education) in Nigerian schools, where STEM is taught in English.
Is language the major barrier to this or just the general education standard, equipments and all? If you teach in yoruba using the same facilities in place, the result will be the same. Secondly, there's no adequate support for invention in Nigeria, you complain about brain drain, Nigerians are elsewhere all over the world making strides, the difference is facilities and resources not language.
If the Yoruba region would develop in the future, Yorubas would still need to domesticate science and teach it in the mother tongue, just like many advanced countries of the world today had done in the past.
It's a no-brainer really.
Wait until a minority tribe in yoruba region replace "English" in your writings with "Yoruba" and it will be a no brainer The truth remains that Nigeria is too diverse, you can't even achieve this state wide thoughtless of region wide or nation wide.
It's because most are still enslaved that's why people would even contest these points. Most Yorubas see English as the primary language and Yoruba as secondary.
But a good son of the soil shouldn't rate a foreign language, no matter its level of acceptance and popularity, above his own language.
The English don't do it; the French don't do it; the Chinese don't do it; the Arabs don't do it; and many peoples in advanced societies don't downgrade their indigenous culture for a foreign one.
But it's always the Africans: They despise their roots and cultures and celebrate foreign ones.
Right now, the Christians and the Muslims are making a noise in the churches and the mosques celebrating the culture of Israelites and Arabs respectively, but demonize their own culture.
It's no wonder the continent contributes next to nothing in world's development.
Lol, you are dumping a lot on the laps of language I understand the need of heritage and all, but to blame Africa's lack of development on adoption of English language is laughable
The way forward to develop science in Yorubaland is to incorporate the teaching of STEM in Yoruba, along with teaching it in English (not only Yoruba).
What any reasonable Yoruba should be advocating is restructuring (regional government) or breakup to form Yoruba nation if restructuring isn't given a chance.
Anyone sincere person who knows the history, Nigeria was set up by GB understands the fact that Nigeria can't work under the current faulty setup.
The various tribes, who don't love one another and have little in common, were forced together into an unholy union by the Britons.
Restructuring or Yorexit
At least, you end up admitting that it can't work Nationwide, for obvious reasons.
I just read this article of BAT describing how he ended up working at Deloitte, if Hundeyin was right about him not working there, omo That must be one of the most comprehensive lie
Ellexy: He didn't imply anything. He just said the guy mysteriously died after recent indepth revelations of Tinubu's drug-laden history were his name came up and contacts were made for him to speak up. If you guys think it's Tinubu, I don't have anything to add.
Abeg abeg, be intellectually honest nau Hundeyin is not a news caster, he has a clear purpose for his tweet and I believe everyone caught the drift, don't feign ignorance.
GloriousGbola: Have you realized that while obidients are constantly abusing and analyzing Tinubu, they have nothing whatsoever to say about Atiku who has a far longer and more verifiable record as a customs officer and and a VP?
This is actually deliberate. I am really inclined to suspect that Peter obi will drop out for Atiku.
And they are all in on the plan. Why else are they ONLY focused on one of their principals competitors?
I will have a good laugh when/if this happens sha
Though we can always expect premium shalaye from the lot of them on this
Obi can't drop out for anyone, especially not at this stage, that is totally out of it. BTW, it stands to reason that a lot of obidients also double as anti-bat, so it's not surprising. Most of them have Atiku as second choice. Atiku and his camp are chilling.
As his political enemies are using unknowns like hundeyin to level accusations against BAT, what is stopping BAT from using unknowns to counter it too. There should be a rebuttal to the accusations from any source be it low level or high level or it will hurt BAT more than he thinks.
BlueRayDick: His safety should be of more concern to him. Ordinary flagboi hoisting flag in Oshodi "collect", so how much more him turning the information we already know into visual form with all sorts of condiments and garnishing..... My hand no dey o
