It was obvious APC will try to win the case on technicalities. The response does not surprise me at all. Too early to say I told you so but we saw these things coming.

Technicalities is very important in court judgements, so many cases get decided by technicalities, I expect the lawyers to do whatever it takes to get the advantage.

If US courts found Tinubu guilty, he wouldn't have gotten away with just partial forfeiture.

It's simple really, there were charges against Tinubu, which is what the documents highlights, if Tinubu was found guilty of those charges he would have been indicted and convicted. Instead it led to forfeiture of 460k and the rest of the seized finds were returned to him. This is what Uber facts reported which is factual.
So while the question "why did Tinubu forfeit 460k?" is valid. The question "why did US return the rest?" is equally valid.
In the end, Tinubu wasn't convicted.

It's good to dream that our reality will change, but until it changes, it remains a reality.
It's an herculean task for minorities to win elections in Nigeria.
Nigeria is uniquely heterogeneous. As long as our primary source of identity remains tribe, we will be divided along those lines. Politicians will continue to take advantage of it, because it is potent, they just have to create an US vs THEM scenario and a tribal man will rise to defend his tribe from perceived threats or maintain superiority over others.
There's a saying "my brother against Me, I and my brother against an outsider", we mostly unite only when there's a common enemy.

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has denied working against the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, describing him as ungrateful.

Speaking during a media chat on Wednesday in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, the Governor stated that it is unfortunate that Peter Obi claimed he stood against him during last month’s presidential election.

While denying asking Rivers people to vote for the President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Wike denied rigging the election to favour his preferred candidates at the Presidential, National Assembly, governorship and House of Assembly elections.

He stressed that his goal was for the president to come from the South, adding that he never campaigned against Peter Obi.

Wike said: “I never told Rivers people to vote for Bola Ahmed Tinubu but for the Unity of Nigeria. As far as Rivers State is concerned, it was a power shift to the South. And there are two candidates from the South, Tinubu and Peter Obi of the Labour Party, so If the majority of Rivers People decided to vote for Tinubu and others for Peter Obi, that tells you the decision of the citizens.

“How can you talk about me rigging the election? I don’t work as ad-hoc staff for Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, so I am not in the place to rig elections for anybody. When you have INEC’s materials, you can talk about rigging.

“But I take exemption to Peter Obi’s comment that I came out against him, people are not being sincere and appreciative. In 2019, I was among the people who chose Peter Obi for Atiku Abubakar.

“I was faulted for the choice, people like Ike Ekweremadu and my friend, the Governor of Ebonyi State and Pius Ayim. Every blame was on me; that why would I be the one to choose for the South East?

“Did he come out to say I supported him?

“I told Nigerians I will support a South candidate in the Presidential Election.

“When Peter Obi says I was against him, it is unfortunate because nobody ever told me that I campaigned against him. It is incorrect to say I was against him.

“I told my people to support a southern candidate, which they did; the first position in Rivers State during the poll was a south candidate, same with the second position.”

They won't.
The Muslim Muslim ticket was a political decision, not a religious one, and giving senate presidency to a Christian is still a political decision.
Parties have the purview of making political decisions, the masses will then prove just how right or wrong those decisions were.

Africans built powerful, functional societies in the past before they were conquered and enslaved by the Europeans and Arabs.

In modern times, the continent is unable to replicate the same feat due to colonization and slavery and the tools of both — Christianity and Islam.

Hopefully, in the future, more and more Africans recognize the evils of these religions, which are political tools of Western and Arab subjugation, and Africans can build functional societies once more.

Should I understand your belief of the intellectual inferiority of our race to be based on religion alone?

is it preposterous to believe that we have such level of religiousity because of our economic situation and not the other way around? Religion is the opium of the masses after all.

Do you believe under ideal economic and social conditions people will be less inclined to be religious?
