BlueRayDick: I think at this point one needs to agree that Obi's presidency won't do much compared to others. Yeah there's the corrupt and sick Tinubu on the ballot and the corrupt Atiku that sold as many national assets for knockdown prices to his friends under the privitization scheme as VP.
But then Obi being surrounded by people like Doyin Okupe and Co will certainly find it difficult to fight the corruption institution we have in Naija. Obi may have the reputation for not having any corruption charges against him in the past nor have any major scandal that hovers around misappropriation of public funds, but having people of questionable character campaign for him ( and most likely end up with a place in his government) will certainly affect his government. The fact that he's not going to import people from another country to run the show but make use of EX-PDP members (who may pay lip service to his desire for new Nigeria, but deep down they want to have access to keep eating our yam) just weak person.
https://www.nairaland.com/7380035/doyin-okupe-prosecuted-over-arms Just forget about corruption. Like you said, no one is importing anyone to form his government. For those saying new political class will solve corruption issues are both delusional and naive For instance, Sowore who is always making noise, was found to have misappropriated his party funds, imagine putting him in a government parastatal that sees in flow of money (that can be stolen with little threats of being found out). Your guess is as good as mine. Lack of opportunity should not be mistaken for virtue. New people in government will not solve corruption wahala, but they may very well solve other issues, who knows. |

patrickmuf: In 2027 the number of registered voters will increase again...It has been happening from time immemorial so, you can't possibly say it's because of Obi...
The votes APC had was due to the Buhari factor and his cult-like supporters up North...APC won't get as much votes because a certain Buhari is not on the ballot...Even before joining forces with Tinubu, Buhari was almost always sure of 8-10m votes from his strong base in the North... 2019 had more registered voters. |

Lagos has so much money and the development seen does not even tally with the funds but then, this can be said of all states. Some places in Oyo and Osun have not seen civilisation. You ran away from Oyo Larride ran Airmark ran Oasis ran from somewhere Y’all have used Lagos to hide the shame of the governors of other South West states Before you scream murder, go to Owerri, Enugu, and Anambra. You are either criticizing Obi or the Obidient movement in one way or the other, or you are defending Tinubu. It doesn't take a genius to see where you lean. Why you are voting Peter Obi is what I really can't understand. Or whether it's a cunning way of discrediting him when you finally announce here that you're no longer voting for him for one Inane reason or the other and you now support Tinubu. Hmmmm, I guess I have to be criticizing Atiku and Tinubu and praising PO at every turn to make don j happy. |

Donjazet2: Again, trying to rope Obi into a very contentious position and you claim you are voting for the man
I'm trying soo damn hard to understand this moniker. Oga, just use your own hand and have a look at your last 10 posts.
Everything is against Obi or the Obidient movement, absolutely nothing! against Tinubu, nothing against atiku.
You come here to consistently attack either Obi or the movement but you are blind to all the faults of the opposition, you were silent when an Obi supporter was attacked and almost lynched in Lagos.
So I ask once again, ARE YOU REALLY voting for Peter Obi??
BECAUSE I'VE NEVER SEEN A PERSON SOO ANGRY WITH HIS PREFERRED CANDIDATE. IT'S AN ANOMALY.
I can bet that before election, you will proclaim on this board that you are now voting for Tinubu. I'm staking my 10k on this. PO said what he said in a recent interview and I had a discussion about it with friends, so how am I roping him in a difficult situation by posting what he said?? I asked an important question, do you think IPOB is a terrorist organization as proscribed by the government? If you aren't answering the question, you can rest. Are you sending the 10k to me? |

Is the government's proscription ultimate or faulty? What sparked the discussion was this screenshot.

ribbit: as you can see, the video from 2021 didn't exist. And second screenshot from yourself to some weird Arabic twitter didn't exist either.
If a whole jagaban posts video of himself all kit up like that in any history or moment, it will trend and it will be shared by multiple verifiable and trusted sources apart from some weird dj and Arabic accounts.
Just like the guy that tried to post 2013 video of jagaban working out as 2022 was easily debunked.
Don't believe anything screenshot or anything you cannot independently verify in an election year.
If it didn't come from official source, it's likely a fake news. I clicked on the link and it took to me to Tinubu Shettima Media support Twitter page. The same one showing in the screenshot below, according to Hundeyin they deleted the old video. But maybe I agree with you that if the video was that old, it won't be only two accounts that will have it, cause it would have definitely been reposted and trended. And it's election period. I don already publicize say the video dey old sha but I can retract if I am convinced otherwise

2019 elections had 15 million new registered voters, 2023 is having 12 million. Every election sees increase in number of registered voters. And be rest assured that the newly registered voters will be shared by the major parties. The new voters is not for one person. The point is that the trend of this election is not that different from previous elections, aside from the fact that there are 3 major candidates/parties. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Emmynator(m): 1:53pm On Oct 04, 2022 |
Donjazet2: Projections here and there.
I'm still advising you guys to sheath these projections for now, the electorate is still being shaped, some parties are gaining momentum, some parties are losing momentum. Some are gaining votes, some are bleeding votes, many are switching sides.
There are still soo many neutrals and undecided.
For instance, it's logical to say Obi will win Anambra, but Anambra has 3 strong parties, APGA has the majority members in the state house of assembly, PDP has more representatives in the national assembly.
You go to Yorubaland, there are soo many christians in the mould of oyedepo and adeboye not moved by tribal sentiment and for whom the Muslim Muslim ticket is a big deal breaker for supporting Tinubu and who are leaning towards Obi. You also have the traditional PDP supporters, some who are now leaning towards Obi, defecting to tinubu or staying with PDPs atiku.
NB: The most important point I keep making right from time is that this election is shaping up to be as drastically different from what we've ever seen in our 20 years of our young democracy. Next year's election is not business as usual, and I keep telling people to stop using previous elections where just a fvcking TEN PERCENT of the population voted!
We might very well see an electorate of 40-50 percent participation because the nation is visibly charged for this election! People who used to be apathetic to voting are participating for the first time so ITS VERY FAIR TO SAY THAT THIS ELECTORATE IS VERY UNPREDICTABLE!
I REPEAT, THIS ELECTORATE IS VERY UNPREDICTABLE!
So chill with the projections, the election is still too far! 3 days in politics is sooo fvcking big. I may learn tomorrow that Peter Obi was a money launderer and a drug baron in Chicago and might also have murdered his political opponent Williams in Anambra and that will sure as hell make him lose my support instantly, my conscience can't be that dead. Projections makes this page interesting, No one is saying the projections are ultimate, so maybe you are the one that needs to chill. The bolded is a projection A projection that I disagree with. |

You hate him, so it's difficult to believe that others can love him for free. Where has rally ever been done without mobilization of some sort, APC already has a define structure, so their rallies will definitely be more organized than the "structureless" rallies, if they bought shirts and caps, did they also force people to not only collect and wear it, but also march with them? Winning elections is expensive, that's why LP is accepting donations. Apc is a bona-fide political party with 8 years plus of building political structure, they don't have to neglect using their structure to get things done, to prove a point to obidients, they built those structures for a reason. Na this kind mentality dey make me comment on Obidients matter, later Don j go dey ask me if I truly Wan vote Obi Last last, we will see if ballots will differentiate between organic and inorganic votes. |
