RomanceRe: Do Other African Men Complain About Their Ladies? by emofine(f): 12:21pm On Nov 15, 2011
I completely agree with Londoner and Nj girl. I just don't understand why some do not understand that publicly disrespecting their women actually causes them to be a subject of shame - and it appears some even gain pleasure from such derision. I can never be with a man that disrespects the women that enabled his nurturing even for mere sport because he clearly does not respect himself and thus cannot respect me. After all if events turn serious I may carry his child and would such abuse follow his female child? his lineage? (smh).
If a Nigerian woman marries outside her child will not bear those taunts unlike the men in whom the lineage is continued, they are indirectly abusing their descendants.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Do People Reject God? by emofine(f): 12:07pm On Nov 15, 2011
It might not be the sole case of people rejecting "God" . . .it could just be that some people are rejecting your/his/her idea of God. For some people God = money etc because the main object that is a source of worship/priority in a person's life becomes their God,

Unless you privately meant why do People reject the Christian God. If that's the case, then as for me I would say that I am weary of this God (because I can't reject a concept that I do not understand in it's entirety) but I'm more weary of his followers besides I don't want to play second best to His "chosen people" - the Jews undecided
LiteratureHer Male Alternate by emofine(op): 11:45am On Nov 15, 2011
. . .where was I before I was born I deeply ponder again . . .

I had recounted the events in my head time and time again and I'm sure an error must have occured somewhere along that timely process . . .for I was the 5th daughter and as any weary African parents with four girls in the basket already it was their ultimate wish for a boy to appear to neutralize the female company and carry on their lineage.

If my parents had prayed fervently and sought suppliction from the Good Lord then maybe the mishap lay at my feminine feet and not with the God that answereth by prayer . . .

Somewhere in the universal abyss before my earthly debut I had debated long with my male doppelganger, my alternate self. Unfortunately only one of us could pass through the entry that leads to the other world. He (me) was almost as stubborn as she (me).
He professionally laid out his defense as to why he should be the one to depart - for it was a male child that our earthly folks had always longed for and with another girl it would only serve to heighten their anxiousness and perhaps make them lose hope in begetting a boy. . . .perhaps this is their last hope, he stressed.
However she refused to be swayed and claimed she could provide in equal measure whatever their earthly parents hoped for in a boy.

And so they continued to exchange words right up until the 9th month.  The deadline was closing and so what they (we) could not settle with mere words finally evolved into a conflict. They wrestled one another for the right to be released and although he was the stronger half she refused to surrender. In frustration she slyly bit him and he impulsively pushed her . . . she fell quite a long way down, she fell  . . . suddenly they both realized what was occurring. His nudge was so sharp he had inadvertently threw her into the corridor of labour, and so it was she who would finally be given birth to.

20 years had passed and she was still haunted by the event. She had made her introduction but it was still him they privately desired despite all she had achieved in her short life span to compensate for their short coming. How I wish I was a boy she ironically sighed.

Maybe in the afterlife I'll allow him to wrestle me again for the chance to reincarnate, she laughed hollowly.

In a confused abyss wrestling with my male foresight, I knew it would have been more beneficial to arrive as a boy . . . I don't how my male alternate lost to a female - I feel so emasculated.

BlackLibya:
I guess you didnt notice that I didnt make that quote huh? That's another AA in the forum.
I was laughing at post no.66 (DRapture's post) whilst I was simultaneously responding to post no.64 (your post).

I know how to multitask.

BlackLibya:
Once again this is quite to the contrary, I have met several Ethiopians that associated themselves with me. BTW, Ethiopians are not the only people in East Africa did you know? East African people in general are proud, that is why on the whole East African countries and South African countries make up almost all of the countries in Africa with their indigenous languages as official languages.
There you go again with your pathetic patronizing and your "I have" experiences that translates to the undeniable truth for you. I don't like going round in circles so I'm going to say this once more, if you choose not to listen yet again then that problem lays with you.

Furthermore I did not say Ethiopians are the only people in East Africa *rolls eyes* I was responding to a fellow poster above me so I made a relating comment.

You are naive and painfully ignorant. Whether recorded as official or not, West Africans adhere to their languages. Go to Senegal and they are more likely to communicate in Wolof rather than French, Northern Nigeria/Niger communicate mainly in Hausa, Western Nigeria, then it is Yoruba, Ghana Twi and so forth and so on. You see fit to still peddle your askew generalizations in the very midst of West Africans believing you know us very well (even more than us) even when corrected time and time again. So I have decided I won't bother wasting any more bytes on you. Just join an East African or Southern African forum and preach your nonsense there. . .hopefully they'll accept you because you sound lost looking for a black role model.

And by the way, is it only via languages that people express pride in themselves? what of traditional attire that us West Africans adorn? . . .still just because I haven't seen much East Africans put on traditional attire will not cause me to conclude and summarize that they are not proud people, you know why? because we are different and different people have different means of displaying Pride.

The same cannot be said for West, Central, and most of North Africa except Morocco.
You see how ignorant you are?

Majority of North Africans speak Arab (I'm surprised you've even introduced NA into the conversation), Central Africa i.e. Congo communicates frequently in Lingala - most of their songs is sang in Lingala.

You are not at all wise but foolishly you continue speaking and I fear if I carry on speaking to you I might lose my mind. Carry on talking and expressing your warped findings. There's no cure for willful ignorance.

P.S. Stop pitting one group of Africans against another in your crass contrasting and gross generalizations. You are a Non-African trying to sew seeds of discord amongst us.

Crayola1:
Even though it has been commented by other Africans and Ethiopians themselves that colorism and dislike of certain features "wider nose, kinkier hair, etc" is a problem in Ethiopia and is held against other Ethiopians with these features?

But they are definitely prouder lmao man this guy is clueless,

I guess Asians are not proud because they have been on the "light is right craze" longer than most with the invention of the umbrella being born out of this mindset.  cool
Please tell him o. They are "proud" not to look and be associated with his type.
