In cases of Man and Ape, not only do we have the supposed intermediates around(Ape), we also have the evolved species(Man)

So, we normally should not have Apes around anymore, as all of them should have evolved to Man, but also, the unevolved ones should have gone extinct

So just like that we have a gigantic factory of nuclear energy, sitting in the most perfect location in space and keeping us all alive? What are the odds of that? Your guess is as good as mine.
