I agree with Oyedele on this. The demand for $$$ does not compensate for FX rate going over the moon(not at the pace at least). One thing of note is that the deposits from these transactions does not show the sender’s name (the banks would know where the money is from) If the government intends to block these currency speculators (FinTechs) from “further manipulating the FX rate” , the CBN should revert to Buhari’s tenure when they ensured that any funds going through the apps would only be received by the recipients in USD ( either in their domiciliary account or cash) . The sender pays a fee (was pegged at 1% of the transaction sum) and $$$ arrives in Nigeria. This way, the remittances can be properly tracked and I believe FX rate would be stable as pressure on Naira would be less. Who is ready to take the bill by the horn? |

One can imagine this cheap publicity! When has it become a big deal to respect elders? not even the saraki that calls someone like Bola Tinubu by name ...even Baraje (former Pdp chairman) his father's stooge. Idobale ki se Iwa! |

As soon as Dasuki names FFK as one of the beneficiaries of the arms deal, he will stop running his mouth. |
He didn't mention the prophecy about him being removed from office in 2016... maybe that's to come up during the next public address ![]() |
Fayose is just a joker and dreamer.. what happened to the rule of law? Did the electoral commission communicate this to all political parties at the appropriate time as d law stipulates? He's only looking for fellow ekpas to join him when his sinking ship finally sinks. |
Same way a police officer asked for tint permit of an unregistered vehicle.. U go fear some policemen |

brooklyn20:Pls what documents do a family of four (husband, wife and 2 children) need to apply for a family trip to SA? Is there a family visa fee or a visa fee applies to all. Wife hasn't changed her passport after marriage, does it matter since her maiden name is what appears. Pls advice. Thanks. |
I embarked on a trip after filling my tank up at a major filling station with presence everywhere in the country. I discovered that I couldn't exceed a maximum speed of 120km/hr and the rate at which the car burnt fuel was absurd. As soon as I got back to town I took the car to an auto garage where a comprehensive check was made and they recommend that I change my fuel pump and service the injector system. I embarked on another trip a few days after and experienced the same thing on my way, but when I was returning I had to refill my tank, which was almost empty and as soon as I embarked on this trip I was able to get to about 160km/hr(bad road couldn't make me do more ) without hitch and fuel consumption was quite reasonable. I learnt from credible sources that there is an additive that is being used to mix fuel by unscrupulous elements and they sell to unsuspecting citizens. Nowadays petrol and water have almost the same color..back in those days no be so!!! |
As much as I respect most of these celebs, I think they should just shut up and go chill with the cash they collected from GEJ. Money shouldn't be the driving force if indeed they knew what Nigeria needed at that critical time. For instance jn Osun, Omisore asked Lagbaja to come and perform at one of his campaigns for a huge sum, he declined that request all in d name of the love for that state. They are cowards! |
Heaven didn't fall when OBJ refused to debate with Olu Falae....yet he still won the elections. People should leave Buhari alone, u don't take a General for a fool...he spotted the insincerity and had since moved past that. Debate or no debate, CHANGE is what we want. Sai Baba... Sai Buhari |
Beautiful piece!!! |
fkaz:Take a close look at the chicken the governor is holding..cant be more than 4 weeks old. In sure he wants them to take care of it against next xmas...buahahahaha..... |
sauceny:You are a joker..Buhari can't win a LG election? |
It's so funny how people who have no **political know how** believe they can become governor just because they became ministers by chance. (same as olukolade in Ekiti to mention a few) Maku, no be by razor blade mouth ok. Stay in Nasarawa for the next 4years...stay with the people at the grassroot... contest again come 2019. U for jes dey chop ur money for abuja jeje.. |
Firefire:Have u been to Lagos before? If you haven't been there do you have a TV set at home? |
