PoliticsSpeaker Of Ekiti State House Of Assembly Impeached By Seven PDP Lawmakers by emperorlog(op): 11:38am On Nov 17, 2014
Reports reaching us from Ado Ekiti in Ekiti state says speaker of the House of Assembly Hon Omirin Adewale is to be impeached by the 7 PDP members of the house of assembly. It will be recalled that the 7 lawmakers decamped to PDP after the inauguration of Gov Ayodele Fayose leaving APC with 19 members. Heavy presence of security men at the assembly complex. More details later

barcanista: APC didn't zone it to the North. I have never heard that they barred Southerners from aspiring. However, APC is not like PDP that plays politics of region, tribe and religion. PDP don't even keep to their zoning arrangement(that is their business). In APC everyone can aspire for any position without restriction.
APC's presidential ticket is going to the North. That's not negotiable. The vice president comes from the south, either Rochas OKorocha, Rotimi Ameachi or another christian from the south west. That's the team.... BROOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMM

Dear Omisore or whatever you call yourself, be reminded that the election has vindicated Ogbeni Rauf and his policies. The people have chosen whom they feel is best. It's either you shut your mouth up or go to the tribunal, let's even hear what your prayers to the court will be. You can then explain to us how you gathered the votes from the 4LGs in IFE.

However, I Would like to advice you to start preparing for the next governorship election in four years' time. Please continue to distribute rice, Kerosene and money massively from now on till then. At least the people of Osun will see that you really care about them and you are capable of feeding them at least maybe you will get sympathy votes and get elected by then.

In the mean time, Rauf till 2018......Baba kabiru, go on sounnnnnn
PoliticsRe: PDP Rejects Osun Gov Election Result by emperorlog: 2:09pm On Aug 10, 2014
dontjealousme: dontjealousme: Why should the rascal Aregbesola announce himself winner in an on going election? Causing voters to either vote for him or give up and return home. APC is a sick party. The election will be settled in court.

pdp was leading then APC started announcing themselves as winner of the election still in process. Can u imagine.

That is fraud.
Mr don't jealous me, I have to remind you that we are in an age where technology assists us. Every party agent sent their polling unit results to aregbesola directly immediately they were counted... so b4 6 pm the winner knew. the votes from all the 4 LGs in IFE were stopped from going to Osogbo, hence the violence. I wont be surprised if it's later found that the results of those LGs were manipulated. get your facts right b4 opening ur mouth. Go back to all the results and Let's meet in court...

Mogidi or what is it u call urself, u r just an irrational being! Why politicise an incident of this magnitude? If ur brother or sister was one of those killed I bet you wouldn't post this *joke* of urs. It's quite unfortunate that animals like you are given the opportunity to express their stupidity on this platform. FYI, security under this present administration in osun scores well above 90%. Where r u from self?

Mogidi: Boko haram, the APC's armed wing has been doing this for years, anyway I just hope the APC hierarchy has not approved this one. It won't be out of place for the local APC members to resort to bank robbery to fund Osun election.

Mimiko does have quite substantial local support here, even though ACN are really striving hard to upturn that. . .campaigning has been very, very frighteningly intense I must say. I fear for how things might pan out come Saturday!

. . .the most ridiculous campaign line I heard was "we can build a refinery in Ondo state. . ." that *ish cracked me up! grin
Yes, a refinery will come to Ondo state, if not now then later in the future. Ondo state has the second largest deposit of bitumen in the world after Canada. so definitely the bitumen wont be left fallow till eternity...

bilms: At a time when Tinubu and other ACN governors were busy lying to the electorates,Governor Olusegun Mimiko's chance of victory on saturday got a boast as a faction of the Ondo pdp endorsed the Governor for a second term based on his performance.

PDP faction endorses Mimiko, expels Agagu, others

THE crisis in the Ondo state Peoples Democratic Party PDP yesterday became messier as a faction of the party announced the expulsion of the immediate past governor, Dr. Olusegun Agagu and five other leaders of the party over alleged anti party activities.

The factional leaders had themselves been expelled from the party on Sunday also announced their endorsment of Dr. Mimiko.

Addressing newsmen in Akure, the PDP factional leader, Prof Olu Agbi said that they decided to endorse Governor Mimiko for a second term because the PDP candidate, Chief Olusola Oke cannot fly in the coming election.

According to Agbi, “the candidacy of Oke is faulty from the foundation, the circumstances surrounding his emergence shows that he is not prepared and that he is still having “under corruption charges against him pending at the EFCC which was used against him in 2007.”

Agbi, who is a former Ambassador to Austria, said that the purported expulsion of his faction was void and of no consequence because the state executive of the party led by Alabi” is not only illegal and existing in contempt of a valid court order that has not been set aside. “The arbitrariness of this action that smacks of lack of respect for constituted authority which had been our complaints about how the party was being run has again manifested itself to the whole world.

Reacting, the state PDP described the factional leaders as “expired politicians whose economic woes have forced them to worship for a pittance at the altar of Governor Mimiko.

The Special Adviser Media and Publicity of the Olusola Oke Campaign organisation, Kunle Adebayo said “instead of attempting to stop the moving train of progress driven by the masses of Ondo state, for the very last time, we urge Governor Mimiko to tow the path of honour by throwing in the towel and joining the PDP before humiliation and disgrace drops its luggage at his doorstep on Saturday October 20th. PDP knows neither faction nor disagreement. It does not know or support Labour Party or anybody named Rahman Olusegun Mimiko.”

” It supports integrity, Honesty, Modesty and action which our candidate Chief Olusola Oke represents.”

The Akpata Community Development Association in Ese Odo local government area of Ondo State has thrown its weight behind the re-election of Dr Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State.

In a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Mr Legbe Oyerigha, the association it hinged its support for Dr Mimiko over “his giant strides in the riverine areas of the state. He has taken governance from a theoretical to a practical realm.”

It added that “the Labour Party-led administration has been able to demonstrate that it is possible for a viable synergy to be created between the government and the governed by putting in place projects that will make people see themselves as part of government”.

Besides, the forum explained that the initiative taken by Dr Mimiko, “has been able to take people off the streets and relocate them into better places. The new urban programmes has helped in transforming glorified villages to befitting cities.”

There are a bunch of greedy jerks in Ondo State chapter of PDP....Politicians that have only their selfish interests at heart, not those who have the mindset to deliver dividends of democracy to the suffering masses. This is why that party has always been in disarray. Who is Ademola Adegoroye? A confused man sorry to say. Tracing his Political history right from the days of AD... till date, he cannot even pull a crowd of 50 people, I wonder what his support for Mimiko meant: well, good enough to say that publicly because of the 5/10million naira Mimiko has possibly handed him. Prof Olu Agbi and the likes should just face the right direction, stand for what they believe in and if it is faith in the manifestos of the Party they used to believe in, then they should find a way to broker peace and ensure that all aggrieved members are brought back together in oneness and then a lasting solution will come forth. Why didnt he say that Olusola Oke cant fly in the elections a day or two after Oke was nominated as the flag bearer? why did he wait till few days before the elections? only a dumb fool will buy his excuse. How on earth will someone say they suspend a former governor who has been loyal to the party in all ways, talk of financing and every other areas? I bet they are all joking. I want to believe Mimiko has handed him and his fellow decampees their own package of N10m each, cos thats what he has been buying the big boys with. Its quite unfortunate for Olusola Oke cos most of these people are the people he believes will deliver their constituencies for him but now they have betrayed him at the eleventh hour. Now that PDP is divided and there are last hour cross carpeting, I hope that the only party that has been able to keep its loyal members together will take the day eventually... Car TalkRe: BMW Owners' Forum by emperorlog: 7:56am On Aug 02, 2012
Wallie: Fuel consumption compared to what? Compared to other SUVs in its class, it should rate very well. Six speed tranny with modern engine to limit fuel consumption.

The only problem that I see with driving cars like this in Nigeria is due to the lack of quality fuel. In Nigeria, you seem to only have one grade of fuel and it's probably the lowest one, 87 octane rating.

The engines in modern BMWs require a minimum of 91 octane rating (RON) and I don’t believe you can find it in Nigeria. This means that the car will run inefficiently and burn more fuel because the ECU (computer) will try to compensate for bad fuel by retarding timing.

Essentially, the higher the octane rating, the less likely the fuel will detonate under pressure. If the fuel detonates too early (knock), the ECU will minimize the compression of the engine to accommodate the bad/inadequate fuel.

Of course you can add octane boosters to the fuel to bring up the octane rating. Hopefully, I didn’t confuse you.

2008 is a good year to buy because the SUV was updated (LCI) in 2007.
Thanks so much. You didn't confuse me. I got all that right. I appreciate. Gracias

@Beaf or what did you call urself, make I ask which part of this country u dey first. I'm sure u r one of the Almajiris that will get admitted to the new school in Oyo state. Aregbesola promised road revolution and yes he hasn't failed, roads are being repaired massively in every part of the state( something PDP didn't achieve during the 7and a half yrs of Oyinlola) and youths got work under the empowerment scheme. In short, he hasn't failed us, things may not be as fast as we want but minding the fact that ur brothers in the PDP *finished* osun before they were disgraced out of office,we are patient and do believe that he will do more. Support the regional integration and see the good things that will come out of it! Don't be misguided ok. Maybe you should change your name to chicken tongue
