PoliticsRe: Nigeria At Risk Over Dependence On Oil – LCCI by EmperorOlu:
obadiah777: OH YEAH SHE OK CHIEF. THANKS FOR INQUIRING. WELL THE BOTTOM-LINE HERE IS WE SHOULD ALL PRACTICE CONTENTMENT. THERE ARE MILLIONS OF PEOPLE IN NIGERIA WHO THINK THEY HAVE IT BAD BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT CONTENT. THE WAY I SEE IT, IF YOU HAVE A ROOF OVER YOUR HEAD, FOOD IN YOUR BELLY, CLOTHES ON YOUR BACK AND A NICE JOB-BUSINESS OR CAREER YOU ENJOY DOING ? THATS ALL THAT SHOULD MATTER. HOWEVER NIGERIANS ARE THE MOST COVETOUS DEMONS IN THE WORLD. THATS THE PROBLEM IN THAT SOCIETY. FROM THE TOP TO THE BOTTOM EVERYONE IS DREAMING OF HAMMERING AND OPPRESSING. OUT OF THIS CROP OF COVETOUS DEMONS IS WHERE THE LEADERS COME AND THAT WORSENS THE PROBLEM CUZ THE LEADER GOES IN AND STEALS ALL THE LOOT. AND THE COVETOUS PEONS ON THE BOTTOM HAVE TO ROB AND KIDNAP EACH OTHER TO GET THAT BENZ. OR SELL DRUGS. IT ALL COMES DOWN TO ONE THING ? COVETOUSNESS. I GOTTA TELL YOU SIRE, YOUR PROFILE SPEAKS OF EXTREME COVETOUSNESS. NOW MAYBE YOU ARE BEING MIS-REPRESENTED BY YOUR PROFILE IN WHICH CASE I WOULD CHANGE IT IF I WERE YOU, UNLESS OF COURSE YOU ARE REALLY ALL ABOUT THE MONEY. THATS ALL LIFE MEANS TO YOU >>> MONEY. wink
To be honest i posted that picture on my profile a long time ago,i have not checked my profile for years. When i put it,i just wanted to spice my profile up and use a "coy" signature.I am not all about the money and contrary to what you may think i love Nigeria. The reason why i am angry with Nigeria is because i know that it can be better than the way it is.Unfortunately Nigerians themselves are destroying the country by not changing and learning from the mistakes of yesteryear. Someone said i should i offer solutions, how can i offer solutions when the people i am trying to advise have not admitted that they have a problem? The truth my brother is Nigeria is heading for a big disaster.

The reason why i say this is that our oil is not longer in major demand. The big Oil companies are selling off their Oil blocks and moving elsewhere. The Lagos state Government seems to be the only one who can see this disaster and is preparing for it.What about the rest of Nigeria? Millions will suffer if we do not speak up and let people know what is going on and advise them to prepare for the future. When fracking goes full scale, major buyers will stop buying our oil because fracking oil will be of a higher quality at a cheaper rate. Our federal revenue will drop drastically and there will be no money except money from agriculture left.In a situation where we have not prepared for this oil demand collapse our economy which is heavily dependent on oil revenue will collapse leading to unbelievable suffering like what was experienced in Zimbabwe a few years ago. This is why i am angry and venting here.I can choose to forget Nigeria and live blissfully in South Africa but my conscience will not allow me to do so.That is why i am venting.

When i say these things that sounds mean, i am hoping that Nigerians will reflect on what i have said and wake up to the realities of the country. We can not keep quiet and pretend like all is well.Oil has been discovered all over the continent even South Africa has discovered oil through fracking in the karoo. That is a big problem because south Africa has a home grown oil company (Sasol)which is staffed with home grown experienced professionals. Sasol also has quality infrastructure and equipment. This means they will drill and refine the oil themselves without foreign help thereby making even more money than Nigeria ever made up till now. Foreign buyers will prefer to buy oil from SA,Angola and DRC because the oil will be refined and they won't have to deal with militants like in Nigeria.

obadiah777: I DID NOT RUN AWAY DUDE. HAD TO CALL MY MAMA wink OK SO YOU POST PICS OF CARS ? WHAT IS THAT PROVING ?
Good,I hope she is okay? Just showing you that you should not believe everything the naysayers are saying about South Africa. If you have a clear cut plan and you work hard in South Africa ,you will live a reasonably decent life.Nobody is lynching anybody here.If you wake up in the morning and go to work or go to your shops to do honest business you will never be attacked. The Nigerians who usually get into trouble are the ones who are arrogant ,criminal minded and night owls.A responsible man who is married with children and who has to get to work the next morning will never go to clubs at 11 p.m in SA.Everybody in South Africa knows that travelling at night is dangerous but you will see many stubborn Nigerians going to clubs to party at night. When they get in to trouble they will start complaining even though they could have avoided such by staying at home with their family. There are also many Nigerian drug dealers who stand around street corners at night selling drugs. These Nigerians also expose themselves to police brutality and street gangs who rob them at gun point. What i am saying is that responsible Nigerians all over the world hardly ever get into trouble.Furthermore there are areas where saffers are hostile to Nigerians because of our notorious reputation in those areas.Nigerians know that these areas are not good for them but they still stay there because that is where they sell drugs. If you live in a quiet neighborhood where everybody minds their business and you do not "show" yourself, you will be fine.

I See Obadiah and his army has run away. Why did you stop the Soweto jokes? Pictures don't lie hey? grin

Now for all those who think that honest Nigerians are being lynched and attacked in South Africa.NA BIG LIE ! Let me show you how one Nigerian is living in South Africa. This Nigerian is not involved in any form of illegal activities. He is into mining and he has paid his dues to get to where he is today. He is a very good friend of mine. Please note that he took this pictures privately but i have his permission to post it here.I am not trying to show off but just trying to rest the myth that all Nigerians are living in fear or like paupers in South Africa:

My brother i love Nigeria die but i am angry at the way my people are suffering and laughing. I will not lie to you ,i wish Nigeria could have half the infrastructure SA has.Can you just imagine that Soweto is a ghetto but they have all the basic amenities including the Biggest hospital in the world.Yes Guinness book of records confirmed Soweto a common ghetto has having one the most advanced and the biggest hospital in the world.

Here is the website of the hospital:

http://baragwanathtrauma.com/

Please note that their services are free even for foreigners. Nigerians get free treatment in all South African hospitals without paying a cent.

I also know 4 Nigerians who are employed as doctors in this hospital and making good income

MostHigh: Eating genetically modified food is not good living.

Drinking recycled water is not good living

Paying the money lender all your life for a mortgage and passing that burden over to your children is not good living.

Living in the concrete jungle is not good living.
Drinking recycled water is not good living - ROFLMAO. Dude did you just say that? grin grin grin grin Chai see as people dey shoot themselves for leg grin Do you know anything about recycling water or the process?

Genetically modified food is what Shoprite and Spar are selling in Nigeria right now yet you are buying it.Oh sorry the South African businessmen did not tell you that they buy most of their produce from the white Zimbabwean farmers in Kwara ? Like i said do your research before posting ill informed comments. Those people living in concrete jungles have less chances of catching water borne disease like the children living in Nigerian slums. That is is fact! There different kinds of property you can buy,you cut your coat according to your size and you will be fine with your mortgage

The masses are blind inside and outside. They have locked their brains with chains that they don't realize that they are in shackles.People like collynzo2 and obadiah777 are the kind of people who will start taking pictures with every flower or plant they see when they travel abroad. I think you need to go back to school and learn the meaning of the word "some".

Secondly many of the poor in the USA are people who failed to take advantage of the numerous opportunities available in the USA.Many of them chose to g.a-n.g.b.a.n.g instead of going to school. Some are Military vets who did not prepare for life after the military.Others are just lazy folks who want handouts from the Government while the rest are junkies who are hooked on drugs. Is is not the same USA that foreigners go to and thrive. If foreigners can go there and make it what is stopping the citizens from doing the same?

Now can you compare the people in the above pictures to this ones below:

A poor man in America enjoys basic things like Constant electricty, running pipe water, decent transportation, food stamps ,free food ,free & Cheap housing, cheap land for as low as $100 an Acre, free clothing from churhes, cheap ADSL, cheap phone calls, cheap medical care, cheap schools, family parks, good roads, cheap cars e.t.c. A rich man in Nigeria does not have access to any of this.Infact a rich man in Nigeria spend tons of money to be comfortable.A rich man in Nigeria usually has to close his windows and use AC because the Air outside is not fresh due to genrator fumes.Which kind of life is that? obadiah777: YOU MAKE NO POINTS. JAMES IBORI LIVED OUTSIDE NIGERIA FOR MORE THAN A DECADE
James Ibori is not intelligent,if he was he would not have stolen money and left an easy to follow trail.Secondly James Ibori is man who had a choice to make between good and evil but chose evil.If you live abroad and you see how good leadership makes life easy for the citizens then you come home and do the opposite ,what are you? Unintelligent. Thirdly James Ibori was an uneducated broke ass southern Nigeria who was a cashier in the Uk. Rather than blame James ,blame the dumb Nigerians like yourself who saw him fit enough for office to elect him just like they have elected this dumb cretin Jonathan to office.Like i said before and will continue to repeat ,Nigeria is full of dumb ,self defeating, over religious people who deserve every bit of suffering they are getting right now.During the last election there was one candidate who could have made Nigeria better (Prof Pat Utomi) but no Nigerian even considered him good enough to vote for him.

The mans was the most educated and the one with the best laid out plan to turn Nigeria around for the better. The problem was that he was not rich enough to bribe people to vote for him.In the United states however Pat Utomi would have been first choice because Americans vote for the person who tables the best plan not the person who shares $100 bills to members of the community. The average IQ of Nigerians is below 70 so i am not surprised that they keep on voting for the wrong people over and over again. If you keep making the same mistakes for 14 years ,what are you? A damned fool! The truth is bitter and unpleasant but it is the truth nonetheless.Nigerians are born liars hence why the nation is in ruins, the day we start to telling ourselves the bitter painful truth, that is the day we are going to start moving forward. We are hated all over the world ,why? because we export our dubious ,wicked, greedy nature to other countries. The countries all over the world can't all be wrong about Nigeria. We have to rest our mindframe if we are to make any progress.Nigeria will end in civil war,it is not a matter of if but a matter of when

The difference between you and i is that i am intelligent and you are not.The fact that you keep on insinuating that i will steal if i am President shows that you have no form of intellect or progressive foresight. It is also shows that you have been a slave for too long that you have lost the ability to think like a free man.Not everyone has the chop chop mentality like you and your ilk.I have lived outside Nigeria for more than a decade and have seen the benefits of selfless leadership. You don't need to steal to be a rich president. If you are intelligent ,you can lead your nation honestly and still garner wealth legally.I won't go into details of how that is possible.Apply your self ,read a few books and you may just gain the knowledge. The is how western leaders lead their countries effectively while also becoming wealthy.Selfless service coupled with strong business acumen.

Banana island is a joke and only a brainless person will waste money on such a super expensive mediocre estate. Now let me show you what luxury living at reasonable prices look like:

The above is Meyersdal Eco Estate in South Africa. That is a 1st class estate that has won many awards but the homes there are 70% cheaper than the homes in banana Island even though they are superior in every way possible to banana island homes.Just goes to show you that Nigeria is a crazy country where nonsense is celebrated.

All the above estates have top notch planing and management unlike banana Island which is just another over hyped ,poorly managed, over priced, mediocre estate.I mean banana island does not even have an official website, that just shows me that it is a complete joke and another over hyped estate to scam gullible Nigerians who are too stupid to know how to get value for their money.

Banana island is just an another venture where the criminals in Nigeria can show off their stolen loot hence why they buy the ridiculously priced lands in banana island without batting an eyelid. If you work for your money you can never buy a house in banana Island ,it just defies logic.I am mean for fxcks sake Banana Island is even more expensive than some Miami waterfront condos. Why will i go and invest so much money in Banana Island where there is no constant electricity ,no drainage system,no pipe borne water,no traffic lights or clean roads when i could invest less than half of the same amount in quality housing overseas.

We Nigerians need to get our heads of the gutter and start demanding value for our money instead of celebrating such foolish extravagance with zero quality.Another failure of banana island is the Adenuga house. In civilized countries you can not build an office building in a residential estate. In Nigeria however Adenuga builds his home and office side by side in Banana island which is supposed to be a residential Estate.Nigerians are just too d.u.m.b to do things the right way.Such a shame for a country that claims to produce intellectuals. This is why our country is regressing instead of progressing. We always do things backwards and never follow rules. The only thing Banana island got right is the name.Nigeria is a banana republic where everything goes so banana island is a befitting name for that eyesore of an estate.

I did a comparison of the ridiculously priced housing sector in Nigeria and the reasonably priced housing sector in South Africa a few days ago,you can take a look at it here so that you know how much you are being scammed by Nigerian property developers:

https://www.nairaland.com/1338743/why-nigerian-properties-expensive

In South Africa ,a person as young as 21 can own a house because they make it affordable for their citizens and provide housing loans. In Nigeria a 21 year old will need to do 419 or sells drugs before he can even dream of owning a house. We have heartless leaders in Nigeria hence why everything is just upside down.

My hope is that just as South Africa has revamped our retail sector ,telecoms sector and banking sector that they will help us revamp our housing sector so that we can get rid of all these ridiculous prices which ensures that housing is out of the reach of the average man.

dolphinife: What is my governor doing sef, I mean olusegun mimiko? The man has turned himself to a bastard of sort. The man has never use his office to attract any industry to Ondo state. What he does is to construct a roundabout with a fountain and the mumu people would go and snap there.

What a wasted state and wasted bigots
How is Ondo politics,i am thinking of coming there to contest for a political position?
