Thailand is a beautiful place to be. Thailand has a rich culture and respectful people. I lived in Thailand for almost 4 years before moving to the States. I believe that I can offer travel advisories here. From my experience, the country's economy mainstay is tourism. And they are making frantic efforts to bring foreigners to come and spend money in their country. Well, the people are nice until you have issue with any of them! Thailand is a kingdom led by the monarchical system of government. Unlike Nigeria where you can just come online to dish out gibberish for fun or to chase clout, you can actually be jailed for offenses such as insulting the royal family among others. My candid advice is that if you're NOT going to study, teach, play soccer or work in tech, please reconsider your travel plans. For those thinking about relocation through study route, it is important to note that you can't combine work and studies in Thailand! It's illegal. Many Nigerians are languishing on the streets of Bangkok as drug peddlers and fraudsters. Around 2007 , if my memory serves me right, there were almost 1000 Nigerians in Thai prisons -- I believe this number has increased significantly lately. However, there are also many who engage in lawful businesses like rice export and other commodities. Ensure you don't overstay your VISA, otherwise it might be a terrible ordeal for you. You also can't get Thai citizenship even you marry a Thai lady. Thai ladies are sweet. Calm and pretty slender women. LGBTQ nonsense is also tolerated in the country. They have transgenders fondly called "lady boys". As a heterosexual man, I always ask questions when I am not sure a lady is a natural woman. Be polite and you won't land in trouble! There are many jobs that foreign nationals are NOT permitted to do. Before you travel, do yourself some good by reading the list of jobs aliens can do there. If you're not going to Thailand for the above stated reasons, then you're on a long thing. Finally, Thailand is a country that I consider my 2nd home having studied, worked there and also made some lifelong Thai friends. Thank you. |

He has to reap the consequences of his marijuana-induced action. Kudos to the Nigerian Police Force. |
Those insulting Chimamanda should go and read history. Who was the 1st Vice Chancellor of the prestigious University of Ibadan (UI)? Answer: Prof. Kenneth Onwuka Dike from Anambra State. . Who was the 1st Vice Chancellor of the prestigious University of Lagos (Unilag)? Answer: Prof. Eni Njoku from Ohafia in Abia State. . It was internal wrangling and bitterness against the Igbos at the time that gradually snowballed into the Biafra question! Having two Igbos head top institutions was a hard pill for them to swallow. When are we gonna grow beyond this trust deficit, ethnic profiling and backward thinking? May God help Nigeria!!! |
Nice people, everywhere... Brown roof republicans are very good people. Oil soup people are really making us proud from Yahoo+, to skull mining escapades, and now their new oil DRUGS! What is DAMILOLA doing with drugs in India ![]() Of all places, INDIA! She should have gone on some apprenticeship in skull-mining in Ogun. Congratulations DAMILOLA! |

Any EH Engineering applicant resident in Port Harcourt? |
EngrVin:I dare say that the fact that one had a prior information about the questions and got it hoarded doesn't really mean he/she aced the test. . Let's just keep our fingers crossed and wait for invites for the next stage. . Assuredly, it will surely end on a heartening note! |
MummyIMadeIt:Pick a bus straight to PH from OWERRI. This is because Aba road is in a state of disrepair. Hence, another route will be plied most likely. First, get to Eleme junction. Then take a cab or bus going to Obigbo Tell the driver to drop you by tap bus stop, Iriebe. Hope you find this helpful ? |
victory148:. Me too. |
neronex:Yes. When is your test scheduled for? |
I've just got an invite for the Graduate Engineer Test. |
gygygy:No. I am yet to get mine also. |
