Anyways this has a good moral but I understand it's not okay to attribute something to the prophet which he didn't do but this seems like something he would do especially since he's so considerate of others and the sahaba. Besides authentic hadiths show that Rasulullah ate food but never complained about it so I'm sure he wouldn't have complained about sour grapes.

God parents is a catholic invention purely to help surround the child with good christian influence. This is why you dont choose any kinda person. Some other Christian denomination have adopted this practise.

Should a child run in to emergencies eg losing parents and has no good relatives, the god parents are obligated to act as the childs parents. I certainly dont agree with all the catholic dogma but i love this idea. Depending on how well off the childs god parents are, they tend to send the kid financial help even when the parents are alive. It also brings families together with the god child as a focal point. ..

The concept of "godparents" is a good innovation. It makes sense. However, in American society, it doesnt seem to make any difference. Some godparents can careless actually. Many have godparents in the USA but these kids are prost!tutes all over. Some of them do not have adequate shelter but they usually fall back to their godparents anytime though. I am talking about teenagers here not tiny tots

One day a poor man brought a bunch of grapes to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) as a gift. He was very excited to be able to bring a gift for the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam).


He placed the grapes beside the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) and said, ‘O Prophet of Allah, please accept this small gift from me’.


He was a poor man who could not afford more. His face beamed with happiness as he offered his small gift. It was evident that he loved the Prophet a lot.


The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) thanked him graciously. As the man looked at him expectantly, the Prophet ate one grape. Then he ate another one.


Slowly the Prophet finished the whole bunch of grapes by himself. He did not offer grapes to anyone present.

The poor man who brought those grapes was very pleased and left.


The companions of the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) who were around him were surprised.

Usually the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) shared whatever he got with them. He would offer them whatever he was given and they would eat it together.


Usually he would start first, out of respect to the person who had given him the gift. But he would always offer it to others.

This time had been different. Without offering it to anyone, the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) finished the
bunch of grapes by himself.

One of the companions asked respectfully, "O Prophet of Allah! How come you ate all the grapes by yourself and did not offer to any one of us present?”

The holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) smiled and
said, "I ate all the grapes by myself because the grapes were sour.

If I would have offered you, you might have made funny faces and shown your distaste of the grapes. That would have hurt the feelings of that poor man.

I thought to myself that it's better that I eat all of them cheerfully and please the poor man. I did not want to hurt the feelings of that poor man."


Moral:
1) Consideration for the feelings of others
2) Graciousness in accepting gifts.

Subhan'Allah.

Such was the character and manner of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam)

MEANING OF TASAWWUF


Today people have different meaning of the word sufi(tasawuf) from either two origin

1. Safa (purity)
2. Suf (wool)



And conclusions are drawn that, it simply mean a person that wear the wool of purity or any other meaning. But a sheikh sheriff AbdulKabir Ibn Abdulmajid(al-huraiqah) explained what sufi means and the qualities one should have before claiming to be a sufi and the sheikh said he also got it from rabiyatul adawiya(ra)


He(sheikh sherif abdulkabir RTA) said the word sufi(tasawuf) has four huruf

1. Taa
2. Sod
3. Waw
4. Faa


All these huruf have it's meaning and qualities attached to them

1. Taa=TAUBATU(repentence)
2. Sod=SAFAAHU(purity)
3. Waw=WILAYATU(sainthood)
4. Faa= FANAHU(he/she is dissolved in Allah)


Now each these huruf have sub-division

1.Taa=four stages
2.Sod=three stages
3.Waw=two satges
4.Faa=one stage
All in all is 10 stages
Now let's pick it one after the other and explain


1.Taa=taubatu(four stages)

(I).one should repent from the major sins like associating partner with Allah and any other. This stage is for Muslim
(ii). One should repent from minor sins like gossiping,backbiting,lying e.t.c and this stage is for mumin
(iii)One should repent from unnotice minor sins e.g if one unknowingly said that it is fan blowing breeze is the one that produce air, he will repent immediately because he forget to say Allah is the one that provide the breeze and this stage is for mukhlisi
(iv) Repenting from realisation of oneself e.g if one said "him, or me" he repent immediately and this stage is for arifubillah

We are done with taa



2.Sod=SAFAHU(purity)

It has three stages

(I) One should clean himself/herself from all the desires of the world and this is the stage for muslim

(ii)One should free himself/herself from all the desires of heareafter! He/she is less concern with hereafter and this stage is for mumin

(iii) One should free himself or herself from all the desires of the world and hereafter, he doesn't want wealth,honour,jannah,and everything either good or bad except ALLAH alone and this is the stage for ARIFUBILLAH

And that's why sheikh ibrahim(ra) pray that

ALLAH YU'UTEENA-LLAH
Allah should give us Allah



3.Waw=WILAYATU(sainthood)

It is of two stages

(i)Wilayatul-a'ama(joint sainthood)
In as far as you are eating,drinking,and doing anything other thing! If you thank God, you are a walie and this is the walie that joint all of us together

(ii)Wilayatul-a'asa(selected saints)

And as for selected walie, these are the group that all their doings is with conscious of Allah! These are arifubillah



4.Faa=FANAHU(annihilation in Allah) Al-fanahu fi fani

The people in this group don't want jannah,they don't want reward for their good deeds,they don't want sins for their deeds,they don't want qiyama,they don't want anything but ALLAH and his messenger alone
