First of all, one need to be cleared with the concept of BID'HA(innovation) in islam. It has been explained by many scolars that not all innovations. The prophet used the word Kul(every) in the hadith and not All. Thus we have good innovations and Bad innovations according to many scolars in Islam. This was also supported by several hadiths. Thereby, most scorlarly agreement on innovations conform and fall within the content of the Quran or Hadith or concensus of the ummah(Ijma).
On the issue of solatul fatih. I ve been through the meaning of the prayer and I don't see anything wrong with it. Thereby, I see nothing wrong in one reciting it. However, there is complexity that surround this prayer with which I will advice everyone doing it need to check him/herself whether to continue or stop it.
1. The doubtfull origin of solatul fatih
2. Attaching important to it more than other prayer thought by the prophet and even five daily prayers
3. Ranking people who perform it higher than any other muslims
4. Above all, it was not thought by prophet during his life.
Moreover, the prophet declared for us to be very aware that one of the things he is very much afraid of after his demise is Al-ulamahu Li-mudholin(Misguidance Ulamas). They would bring innovations and aclaimed it to the prophet.
Also, what I ve learnt on spreading of white cloth is just a symbol of one who originated the group. There is nothing bad in doing dhikr togetherness in mosque, however people bring many innovations to it like clapping, jumping, inebriate and negleting solat etc.
Moreso, there are many other sects like that with funny funny things which has no trace during the life of the prophet. My advice to fellow muslims especially younger ones learning islam is that the more you stick to what was practiced by prophet, the safer is from being misguided. Also, the prophet decalred "He who will live (long enough) will see many different(ways). Keep to my Sunnah, and the Sunnah of the well-guided khulafa'; hold fast thereto. And beware of innovations (in matters of religion). Verily, every innovation is a bid'ah, and every bid'ah is misguidance, and every misguidance is in the Fire.".
The guided rule here thus; as long as the doubtful matter is not fard(compulsory) one may leave it in order not to cross the boundary according to sharia.

Brother, this isnt an issue at all. It's your understanding. No one replaces anything. So Saudi replaced timing of salat with artificial man-made clock to determine salat times....is that bid'a or not

Last year, i think, I was far asleep and in the middle of the night i got up and opened naijagists website. The first article with picture i saw was obasanjo being "hanged". I went to bed thinking obasanjo was dead for crimes committed. By the time i woke up, my comment had gone viral on the internet. Naijagists republished my comment and dang, I was laughing like how in the world i made this comment. My comment generated thousands of replies from around the world. I was really tired and knocked out when i saw the picture. I can be myopic sometimes....i admit

When i finally read the article later in the day, the guys were actaully measuring his height.

Oh very well, then. We can go on and on. We now take aircraft to perform hajj. But in the time of the rosul(saw) he never rode on airplane. He never used clock to determine time of prayer and the list goes on. But you and I today simply look on our clock "it's 2:10 time for zuhr" etc. Did the prophet used that mechanical device to determine time of salat?. In Saudi, they now have time over a building. Click on my signature and watch them at every salat. Once it's 0' clock you hear adhan. Did the prophet do that?. Your understanding here appears to be literal and rigid. You can barely see any muslim observe the sun to determine prayer times. So this issue of tesbih being bid'a is non-issue.

Rememebr SALATUL TASBEEH recorded in SAHEEH!!!. There are number of times you have to says adhkar and the numbers are not even. Can you succefuly do it without losing your mind?. This is benefit of the beads. It has nothing to do with originating from Christianity. If you think it's it, then dont enter aircraft to haj because that was manufactured by non-muslims as well.

The ONLY way you can correctly say tesbih is bid'a is if it is taught to be part of the deen. It's not. It's simply a device


Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih al-‘Uthaymeen (al-Liqa’ al-Maftooh, 3/30) was asked whether using the masbahah for tasbeeh is bid’ah, and his reply was: “It is better not to do tasbeeh with the masbahah, but it is not bid’ah, because there is a basis for it, which is the fact that some of the Sahaabah did tasbeeh with pebbles.

After we complete salat almost everyone make quick finger counts of zikr. But when it comes to doing adhkar in quantity it is practically impossible to count with fingers.

How's tesbih bid'a?. Although this is old topic. It was addressed in various threads previously. If tesbih is bid'a in making adhkar, then using clock and internet to determine salat time is likewise bid'a.

Function of tasbih is basically mechanical device to aid us with adhkar(counts). Now, you may argue that there is nothing like making istigfar (etc) 1000x recorded in the sunnah. That may be true but there are some adhkar in the sunna like:

Istgfar 100x
Subhannallah 100x
Alhamdulilah 100x
etc

Can you do the above with your bare fingers without losing counts?. Can you do these without suffering daydream?. Once you daydream you forget your count, you may have to start over or simply cheat. But with tesbih, if you drop it by accident or daydream, you can almost picture exact same spot where you stopped. Same applies to 'counter'or stones. Their purpose is to aid the count. They arent bid'a at all.

The only recorded 'hadith' against tesbih does not have isnad to the prophet(SAW). It was opinion of one sahaba and narrated only by him. This hadith is now used by salafi movement as proof of bid'a.

I think i have enough information to discern situation on ground. Too many mixed information out there. I don't even know what to believe anymore.

I believe the people do have the right to protest in their so called democratic society. Whether their religious procession is Islamic or not is another topic.

I believe they should have notified proper authority of their intention before blocking the road. Authority have the right to challenge road blockage whether it is absolutely necessary or not. They should have got some sort of permit beforehand. This is public road.

That being said, excessive force by military is dang daddy. Could they have used tear gas, robber bullets, water cannon to disperse the crowd rather than military gears?. Protesters throughout the world are known to throw objects at riot police, military etc. Or the protesters carried and used deadly weapons?.

100 people being killed over silly things could be avoided if their procession was properly coordinated. May God have mercy on them.

Abi na....such is life. The next thing to do is go home and get ALL relevant documents from him and done with it. Crazy world. I heard stories like this but I always thought it's a myth. This sh*t is real bruh

mufutau55, remember i was telling you about my friend whose father scammed him of his building?

My friend gave his sister #3m to buy him a simple bungalow. This was just this September. But the owner of the house changed her mind the last minutes to closing the deal, that she wanted to sell bcus she was broke. Now she's isnt selling anymore.

But his sister, instead of telling my friend about it, she actually did something diff and creative. She called him today to inform him that the money he sent was used to build a house. In fact, i saw the picx. The house was built in just 2 months. Very neat and beautiful on a plot of land. It's like a dream come through for my friend. She said had she told him that the deal was cancelled, he might diverted the money to his dad to continue the abandoned project. He wants to go home so bad to meet his family but could not bcus papa was wasting his time and resources. The house is completed with roof on it. And it's even modern design for only 3m.

But his dad used 7m to build up lintel level. No windows and doors....nothing. Just decking. He's been building the house since 2010 but officially started in 2013. See the diff?. Obviously, my conclusion is papa doesnt want any good for him. Period. I was told he has track record of bad dealings with family.
