Dang! bro, still on this. My friend gave his sister #3m to buy him a simple bungalow. This was just this September. But the owner of the house changed her mind the last minutes to closing the deal, that she wanted to sell bcus she was broke. Now she's isnt selling anymore.

But his sister, instead of telling my friend about it, she actually did something diff and creative. She called him today to inform him that the money he sent was used to build a house. In fact, i saw the pic. The house was built in just 2 months. Very neat and beautiful on a plot of land. It's like a dream come through for my friend. She said had she told him that the deal was cancelled, he might diverted the money to his dad to continue the abandoned project. He wants to go home so bad to meet his family but could not bcus papa was wasting his time and resources. The house is completed with roof on it. And it's even modern design for only 3m.

But his dad used 7m to build up lintel level. No windows and doors....nothing. Just decking. He's been building the house since 2010 but officially started in 2013. See the diff?. Obviously, my conclusion is papa doesnt want any good for him. Period. I was told he has track record of bad dealings with family.

What has come over you?. You smoke weed lately or what?. So you now see Christianity isnt about God anymore but an enterprise or money making scheme.

And no, masjid(mosques) arent like that. Donations and contributions taken from mosques are for zakat(alms, maintenance, Imam salary etc). Not the tithe or other form of money schemes going on in churches. Besides, it's voluntary if anyone wishes to give. And during Eld or festivals, organizers may pass around "donation boxes" that purely meant for aforementioned utilities not for imams to consume or buy luxury cars like you folks do. There are very strong Islamic injunctions against such unholy practices.

Good luck in your undertaking

if u were in a Muslim country where the non hala la have been substituted for hala, u'd probably take fast food.
if u don't find halal do u take kosher?
Are you insinuating that Nigeria is gradually transiting from halal based food to haram ones?.

Why would muslim country give up halal for non-halal to begin with. Anyways, no. I wont permanently do that. They have corrupted their food too. i used to buy kosher regularly for a client in New York. There are muslim employees their who gave me a piece of pastrami(pictured) to taste before i buy it. I would politely reject. So the guy was like 'why, are you muslim?'. Affirmative. He said: "oh okay". Which means they arent necessarily halal type meat. But pastrami smell good though. Unfortunately, i am strict with what goes in my stomach. I rather eat plain food like bagel etc until i can find halal meat.

To be honest Jewish folks prepare pastrami a lot better. It wasnt them actually, it was their Muslim employees. You just cant tell which pastrami is made from what. It can be from Beef, Turkey or Pork. You cant tell. That's why i stay away altogether.

To be honest, i used to yrs ago. I stopped since '06. I still go there of course but only in the morning on my way to work. I only buy tea and sometimes apple pies. Nothing else.

Now, I do not have objection to a person who is hungry and have no choice.

hihi but I'd still go for one of those juicy kfc chickens ( halal) over some subway veggie filled sandwich.
We all like them, Just that we need to reduce consumption. And the govt should regulate more on this hormone shooting thing.
You rather go for the veggie instead. I know Dominos have "Mediterranean veggie"(pictured). It's 100% vegetables. The other veggies like harm and Philly cheese steak are fixed meat or chiken.

I simply dont eat meat(cooked) outside. I buy live chicken at poultry or go to halal poultry to buy meat.

what do u they mean by godfather?
godfather is a term commonly used in the west. It's a man who is influential in parenting through providing support for a child or through playing a leading or innovatory part in a child life. This usually happen if biological parents are absent like they are in jail or drug addicts or in rehab or any situation deem detrimental to a child. Very common in America.

yes, they have them now. Even the chickens would most probably be the stunned ones. The safest to eat at are the local restaurants. AltHough they also serve the frozen turkeys and chickens discussed previously.

Hihi what does cancer and diabetes have to do with pork? how about countries that substitute the non halal poultry for halal ones like red meat? Aren't they also at risk?
Do you listen to health report in the West over the yrs?. They talk about danger of red meat all the time. Also, all these new restaurants opening in naija are copycat of the west. I wish you listen to their news how fast food kills. They are junk food for the poor. Most White folks eat at healthy restaurants like Red Lobsters, etc. Yes, they are expensive but healthy. Their meat too are not halal of course.

These fast food can also destroy ones spirituality. The oil they use to cook fish and chicken have "laal" in them. Even milk have hormones. These foods are genetically modified. Muslims need to take the lead to return to local farms and produce organic food.

Even talking about eateries in nigeria, how are we sure kfc, dominos and the likes aren't serving non halal food considering that majority of their ingredients are importeD.
so they have kfc and dominos in nija now? These eateries serve pork. Dominos have pepperoni topping. Pepperoni is pork. They also have meat that are definitely not halal. Now i can see why cancer and diabetes spread in nija as well.

I still don't agree with that view. Instead I'd rather it be that differentiation is made between the nafilat commanded by Rasulullah (saw) and the ones that were often offered by him (saw).
Neglecting naflnafilAts like attahiyatul masjid, funeral prayer, prayer for rain, eclipse prayer e. T. C will constitute disobedience to Rasulullah (saw)
Sunnah nafilAts like duha, tahajud can actually be ignored if a person so wishes.
No big deal

u know there's a difference between disbelieving in nafilat and deciding to never offer them.

How about this hadith:

The scholars have been also enlightened by the hadith that is reported by Imam Bukhari and Muslim that a man from the Najd region came and questioned the prophet (S.A.W.) about Islam. The prophet responded: "five prayers every day and night." The Bedouin asked, "Am I obliged to perform any other prayer?" The prophet (S.A.W.) replied, "No, except if you want to volunteer." Then, the prophet (S.A.W.) continued, "and fasting the month of Ramadan" The Bedouin asked, "am I obliged to fast any more?" The prophet (S.A.W.) replied: "No, except if you want to volunteer", the prophet (S.A.W.) continued: "and paying zakah" The Bedouin then questioned, "Am I obliged to pay any other zakah?", the prophet (S.A.W.) replied: "No, except if you want to volunteer" The man walked away and said, "By Allah, I will do no more nor less." The prophet (S.A.W.) said: "The Bedouin has succeeded if he is truthful."
I understand that. You cant take this hadith as face value. This hadith appears to be emphasing importance of 5 daily obligatory salat. Nafilat are absolutely not compulsory but they are rewardable. They are some form supererogatory and means (wasilat/"tawasul).

There are other ahadith that talk about importance and offering nafilat a lot. The hadith you quoted could have been at a specific incident and should not be taken in isolation. You know apart from 2 rakat before and after obligatory salat, there are others like: dua, nafilat lail and other voluntary once. But here i am talking about those nafilat before and after obligatory salat. We cant just cancel them out.

Now read this ahadith:

Narrated Abu Qatada Al-Aslami (Radi Allahu 'anhum):

Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "If anyone of you enters a mosque, he should pray two Rakat before sitting."

Bukhari Vol. 1 : No. 435

So the hadith you quoted should not be taken in isolation. It coud have been said to in order to frown at extremists. For instance, it was reported about story of three men. First man said he would pray all night, second man said he would fast everyday and the third said he would pay zakat everyday in order to emulate the prophet. When the prophet(SAW) heard of them, he cautioned and warned them that it's not his sunnah. He said to them that he(SAW) pray and rest. That he(saw) fast and break. That he(SAW) give zakat moderately.

So the hadith you quoted might be said to discourage extremists. Never meant to ignore nafilat. Nafilat are very good and of-course are not obligatory

i dont just own a poultry farm, im an animal scientist, who knows and takes into acct the type of meat that is good for human consumption. Im from oyo state. Insha Allah im adding that project to my existing ones at d beginning of next year but still need regular suppliers. We can also have halal cafe, frozen stores, supermart etc in ds country...in sha Allah
Rzq4:
we can produce halal meat loacally from a tested and trusted source. All we are seeking for is acceptance from muslim bro and sis. We need trusted halal frozen food stores to supply.
These are good stuff right here. This is what i have been talking about. We need Muslim halal-based supermarket. Sourced by Muslims instead of sourcing food from abroad or relying on foreign imported foods

okay.
But about cancelling out nafilat being bidah? what if one decides to not offer any naflah but be consisitent with d Fardh salah? Nafilahs aren't compulsory right?
Good question. By cancelling out nafilat, I mean to give it up completely even though its supererogatory. It's part of Islam but to give it up completely is the opposite. This i heard from a Sheikh a while back. But missing in once in a while is not sinful not does it constitutes innovation.
